A sober man hitting a drunk man, security or not, is foul play. This dude being a securiy guard is a danger to other patrons and businesses. Hate Crime and Murder. No security, unless in mortal danger of losing life, should ever hit someone unconsious let alone while they are drunk. Change my mind.

The guard should’ve never been a guard. In fact, a good security guard will never even have to use hands. If a guard is actually good at their job telling a patron to exit the premises is plenty.. So many people jumping on the side of the kid that got punched, even going so far as to call it, murder and a hate crime. No! I have bartended/bounced some very big bars, S. Calif. The river at Parker Az and several around Texas. Many people have no control after too much alcohol. He was trying to “re-enter” the bar. Sounds like he was asked to leave, then tried to get back in. Bouncer did his job. He had also been trespassed. If you don’t drink well, don’t drink, bad things are bound to happen.

Too many kids come in to bars and drink themselves tough . I was a bouncer for 2 years and was constantly challenged by drunk or high punks who couldn’t beat a cold much less a person who was hired for one reason only. To break up fights no matter who starts it or no matter how many of them start it. It takes tough guys to handle drunks when they get stupid. Not sure what happened with this guy but in most cases it takes a special kind of stupid to seek out a altercation with a bouncer and in 99 percent of the time the bouncer is basically immune from prosecution if it’s shown that he defends himself. I was covered legally as long as I never threw the first punch and I didn’t go outside to whip somebody worse. It sounded like the people who spoke up here didn’t fit the narrative this family wanted to spin.

It’s the bouncer’s job to protect the property, the employees, the customers and himself. If someone has been asked to leave, been trespassed and yet is not doing as asked, if he’s been asked to leave I would assume he may have been a bit aggressive, people intoxicated are unpredictable. Stop the threat. That is the bouncer’s responsibility. If you need to ask that question, I suggest you take a self defense class, maybe some other training and in the meantime, stay out of any kind of physical altercation.

That type of thinking is a problem with our species. There is no justification for it unless the man was defending himself from violence and his intentions mean virtually nothing to the dying kid or his family. Sure if he intended to kill him that is worse but it is not any better if he didn't intend to kill him. That is a situation where one's intention could only make the situation worse and not better. Lots of guys seem to think that it is just okay to be violent with people but stuff like this can happen very easily. He could gain compliance with a standing armlock or put someone to sleep with a quick collar choke. The clubs he worked for preferred bouncers and security from grappling martial arts backgrounds rather than striking martial arts backgrounds in order to prevent what happened here. I don't understand why the clown couldn't just let Tuner back into the Tin Roof bar, the young guy doesn't look like a bad person. The guy needs to come forward and accept his crime, he's probably hiding at the Winslow's house in Chicago. They need to call Andy Taylor and Barney Fife from Mayberry, so they can help the Nashville cops hunt down Urkel's cousin. Hopefully, Tuner's spirit will help guide his family to answers and get justice for their son's death and is able to find peace.
