they arent trying to take his car infact the fact that they are totaling it instead of just dropping coverage shows that they are doing this for him, think about it because of the blood he can no longer be an uber driver so the insurance now says hey heres the money for a replacement vehicle were dropping coverage on the one you were using. you do need special insurance coverage to be an uber driver in the first place so its not like they didnt know about his job and the fact they are totaling the damages means that he got into contact with them about it.

@slipperylatex872 think you should say you don't know because ablilamces are not free in the US. It's about $1000 to be picked up by an ambulance and hospitals aren't free either.
They also aren't fast because unless they are already nearby it's going to take time for them to get about 7-14 minutes on average.
That is enough time for some one to bleed out or be rushed to a hospital by private car.
There is a reason people rarely call ambulances compared to the number of ER visits arriving by personal car, taxi or other transportation that isn't an ambulance.
      Hospitals are even more expensive.

he would've asked insurance about getting it cleaned after seeing the bill to do that. You can clean blood out of fabrics and such but it is stubborn and given that car seats arent just rugs, especially in modern cars, its much more time consuming to complete. The bill would easily come into the thousands if not tens of thousands to get all of the materials properly cleaned and decontaminated because you would have to disassemble most of the interior completely. Explains why insurance would just write it off.
