Try coarse salt and fine salt and sprinkle high, two completely different textures
Rock Salt makes a great texture too!

Salt is also good (for watercolors) you just have to rub it off when the paint is dry unless you want to keep it on for the feel

thought: Using food like rice is not a very cool idea, even if it's just a small quantity, it's still considered as wasting, some people are starving ... Hope you get it

For watercolors, you’re able to put salt down and you’ll get some tiny little stars.

You can buy watercolors, brushes and paper really cheap. Even the dollar store has them if you have one nearby. They're not the very best quality, but they're good enough to start practicing the basics. Enjoy!

Yeah the blooms got a little messed up. Kinda just turned into a big blur. They were great at first but it looks like they ended up just bleeding into eachother.
