That man's faith is incredible, he may be one that has the spiritual gift of faith.
Why do some prayers get answered and some don't? Notice the way he prayed for it...
He didn't say "please have his mom call". He said "I THANK YOU that you will have his mom call". Meaning, he was saying 'thank you' because he believed without a doubt that the prayer would be answered.
When you pray with that level of faith that you say 'thank you' because you anticipate that it will happen, it takes your prayer to a whole other level. This has been a game changer for my prayer routine!
And for whoever has read this much, I pray that God makes bold changes in your life so you also know just how much He loves you!

More people need to be aware of the "small" things that happen by His will. So many want grand gestures but sometimes something as simple as a phone call can mend a heart.

A story of answered prayer...
In one of our church's small lifegroups they were praying for a prodigal daughter. A few weeks later the parents told how their daughter was walking along the seafront of a nearby town and someone offered to pray for her, and she accepted and was really moved by the whole experience.
At which point one of the other lifegroup members said. Thats funny, i was in that town on Saturday, and i prayed for a random stranger. What does she look like?
At which point they realised it was the same girl. He had no idea it was their daughter.

@primus1704 I know right Somebody who does this kinda thing made a video about it and said that you have to get used to the idea that sometimes nothing will happen. He said that when he started out, it took him hundreds of times before he started getting miracles 🫠 maan I would be worried that the people that I prayed for would just confirm their unbelief and never try again in their life

There is a vast amount of prayers that happen with no answer which is why Christians started saying sometimes prayers go unanswered and then make excuses on why the Bible says whatever you ask for in prayer you will receive. Conformation bias is a hell of a thing

I believe that the prayer needs to line up with Gods will & bring him glory - so if you ask according to His will (like in this video- God wants everyone to know he loves them and provides a way to Him through Jesus) then you should get what you ask for.

I watched the full interview, it’s a wild one. guy had 4 or 5 stories like this. He’s a Southern Baptist pastor that turned charismatic by a healing he received himself. I believe God can and does things like what he describes, just would love to have some corroboration on it.
Pray for it! But make sure you pray what you know God wants, in his will. Of course he wants you to experience his power! He gave these spiritual gifts and answers to prayer and miracles in the first place.
In James, he writes "you don't have because you don't ask and when you do ask, you ask with wrong motives so you can consume it (your request) to feed your lusts".
I laid hands on a woman last week and prayed for healing in her hips and she got better! First time ever! And it wasn't small. She told us she had sat down because the pain was 10 out of 10!
Ask that God will use you in the same way and believe that he heard you. He will answer! The Lord absolutely wants all of us to do great exploits for his kingdom and to be conduits for the healing power of his Holy Spirit through the blood of Christ in the lives of others. I'm now convicted that I don't pray these radical players nearly enough but if you do God is faithful to come through. He loves people and wants to save them and blow their minds with his love!

Yeah my mom was healed by a charismatic non-denominational pastor and she's since been able to speak in tongues and see visions and stuff (and we are Orthodox, so we definitely didn't believe these things until they happened), it's pretty cool. It's very real and the closer you draw near God and spend more time with him (in His Word, talking to Him, etc.) He will reveal more things to you. He wants everyone to have it :-)

I’ve lost my faith because I don’t see any good reason to believe in God. I’ve been praying every night for the past month that He shows me some direct evidence of Him so that I could believe. I consistently get no answer. Maybe it needs other people so I’ll ask here, but it’s been pretty rough.

I’m practicing to hear God’s voice to encourage people and share God’s love. When I was praying I saw an animation, are you an animator or does that mean anything to you. God sees you, even in times when you feel hidden and lost. He is always waiting with arms wide open, sorry not intentionally quoting Creed. He is a good Father. Praying for a restoration of peace & joy to saturate your entire being. “For I know the plans of have for u declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. God may or may not give a sign, if this story is even true, but God doesn't have to perform for you.

Don’t get discouraged. God is sovereign. It’s about the right heart posture. It’s our job to pray. We can’t be outcome dependent or driven.
Does God need to do this with every single person on earth? Why isn't another individuals testimony enough?

If what I’ve asked for happened, maybe I’d believe myself. I pray every night. I am grateful for what I have, but, I right now have no belief system. FYI it sucks.
@JohnG93 So you think every story like this is either a lie, or coincidence? Couldn't you in part just assume the experience you are asking for could also be a coincidence? We convict people to prison based just on testimony, you have to consider the trustworthiness of the individual giving the testimony, and if you have a strong sense to believe their testimony Couldn't that be a foundation for belief?

Thx for sharing. Certain family members have problems with each other, I do mention that in my prayers so they can fix the problem. Nothing has happened yet. And this is for many years I'm trying.

If it hasn’t happened yet it’s because God is working in the situation in some way beyond what you can see right now. You don’t need to have “enough” faith. You can even ask Jesus for the faith you don’t have. You just need to rest in Him and trust that He is working in His time.

The only prayer that worked was asking to speed up a payment, which could be a coincidence? I tried asking other things with no answer.

I wanted to highlight this part- Paul points out the importance of knowing how and what to pray for.
God wants our desires to be replaced with His desires or will.
Then we would know how we ought to pray.

@@Hello-bi1pm When we surrender to Jesus and accept him as our Lord and saviour he puts the Holy Spirit in us who leads into all truth. Read the scriptures, I would recommend starting with the Gospels and the book of Romans. Anything that goes against the Holy Spirit and the scriptures is not God’s will.
This is about as compelling as the person who is taken up on an alien spacecraft and probed with alien instruments.
Actually the alien abduction is within the bounds of The realm of possibility so even that is more plausible Incompelling than what this person is asserting about supernatural characters.

Seems to me that Jesus means this ONLY according to the mysterious purposes of God. You have to be living a godly life to ask according to God's purposes.

You absolutely should because God wants you to get better, and keep in mind that when you pray, God heard it but believe and wait on His timing. Sometimes the answer isn't 'no' but 'be patient, I have it all planned out' (I'm saying this someone who had chronic illness and my mom had severe autoimmune illness). Don't believe in this whole 'you're supposed to be sick all your life nonsense.' I went to a deliverance ministry and saw just how much illness is not what God desires but what evil spirits, curses, and the result of being in a fallen world that cause it. Remember, when Jesus came down He only healed, He never put illness on anybody

You should, BUT at the same time you have to be content with His will and His will Only! So if you unfortunately do not get healed, don’t be angry. God still hears and loves YOU! Jesus asked if his cup can be taken from him when he was in the last hours of his life , but the Father declined, And Jesus was content and still followed the Fathers plan til the very end! They would say it's a story that's made up...then if they met Jim they would say the call was a coincidence...then when his mother said she met jesus 4 days earlier they would say it was just a dream.

Asking an atheist about God is like asking a blind man about vision, or asking a virgin about how does it feel to copulate. It's just a big waste of time in every single case. I don't understand why so many theists care about atheist's opinions on God. Just let them believe in unintended emergence of life by random chance without any evidence for it. It's their loss, not ours.
You either find God, or you don't. That's all there is to it.
That's not fair, a lot of Christians that we have now were atheists once. Sometimes it's God's plan to have them believe later on in life so that they could be more skilled in how to debate other atheists since they know how they used to think. I'm all for not throwing pearls before swine like for example the ones who mock and insult God, but if they're open to discuss and believe in Jesus if He revealed Himself, then it's good to help them see it.

We encounter those online ones more, the edgy debating atheists that are more anti-theist than anything but claim it's lack of evidence that makes them not believe, when it's clearly a heart-hardening problem not a mind problem. But there are other atheists too who never experienced a miracle or encountered anything supernatural in their lives that are open to believing in God and following Him when they see anything that they can't explain. Like the one in the video, God knew that the guy was sincere about following Him if he knew the truth, which is why God made him see it. There are also a lot of atheists who have experienced terrible things in life which make them believe that even if God existed He does not care or love them, which is why there are tons of ex-atheist testimonies of them softening to God when they experience His love and peace. God is the one who can judge someone's heart and know whether they are atheist by choice (don't want God to exist) or atheist by life circumstances and are ready to believe when they encounter Him. So we should avoid the scoffers and mockers, and help the ones who are sincere but need help in their faith.

@@VoVina111 Theological debates are not for convincing other side, but to strengthen our own beliefs. That's why I don't care about any atheist opinion on God, because I already know there is a God, just like an atheist knows there is no God, so there is no reason for any debate.
Coming close to or pushing away from God always comes from within and trying to convince other side to your worldview has the opposite effect.
I believe you have a genuine heart, but I don’t think you take account to people that don’t have what you had people deal with life parents in all different scenarios. Good bad ugly and in between you have a great message but I think there needs to be more understanding I want to know how you feel about the constant guy on the street asking you for money I want to know the steps that you took to forgive your mother and your father, I know it is hard to get open and talk about all that stuff online but when you bring it up, I feel disconnected sometimes because sometimes it seems a little far-fetched that you found cry so young and you follow through with it through everything especially dealing with the stuff that you’ve dealt with in your life I guess the biggest thing that I’m saying is I really wish I can sit down and talk to you personally one day and maybe that can happen

@@jakehvazda "Sinner's prayer" is just a term used to describe a prayer that's done by an unbeliever with the goal being salvation. The main problem is that the Bible never mentions that one can be saved by praying to God. This isn't an argument from silence, as the Bible clearly tells us how to be saved. So, it wouldn't make sense to leave another method of salvation as a lucky guess game. For example, if you pray to *REDACTED* for forgiveness, you wouldn't receive any answer because... *REDACTED* is not the real God. But how would the unbeliever know that, if not arbitrarily? He has to, what, scramble through every god before he prays to the right one? Lastly, we don't ask God for forgiveness, but rather forgiveness is given by God to those who first believed. Because we are saved by grace through faith.

It’s funny cause I hear these stories and of course they have no evidence to support them but when I ask a Christian to do this exact thing to prove god all I hear is you can’t challenge god. Matthew couldn’t be any clearer on getting whatever you ask for in prayer yet I have never seen this happen.
It's a difference in heart. How we approach The Father in prayer, matters just as much as the prayer itself.

If you truly wish to ask God to prove Himself, it must be done humbly. We come before him broken, looking for healing. He encourages that and desires a restored relationship. Seek Him with a broken and contrite heart and He will reveal Himself.

@@kevinburke1325 They lie all too often, brother; make up grandiose stories to glorify their ministries, relying on folk to just believe the stories..This happens too often in cults and the charismatic movement.
