What is your favorite album by Def Leppard?
HYSTERIA!!!!! I can listen to it everyday.
Hysteria
Hysteria is perfect from start to finish.
@@THXSwitch625 yesssssssss
High n dry 🤘
Actually Joe's first concern upon hearing the news about Rick's accident and that he lost his arm was not can he play his first concern was is his friend gonna make it. They stood by Rick never thought of replacing him
I said to myself during that part “hmm that’s not true”
That’s true friends…
@@Tiggerozzy love our boys! Def Leppard rocks!
I love Def Leppard so much. I got to see them recently with Mötley and Poison and they are still rocking the hell out! They are so incredible and I’m so thankful they’re still around, even after everything that’s happened to them. I miss Steve so much and wish he was here to see the legacy he had left behind ❤️🕊
They should have added Sav's Bell's Palsy. He deserves credit and praise for overcoming it.
I totally agree
Yeah, they didn’t mention him at all.
Sav hasn't overcome Bell's Palsy. He still suffers from it, especially when he's tired. He did an interview years ago talking about how sometimes he has to wear an eye mask so he can sleep because his eye won't shut when it flares up. My son has to do the same thing. He contracted Bell's Palsy after recovering from covid.
Def Leppard is my favorite band of all time. The album Hysteria, is sonically perfect in every way, and every single song on it is perfect in every way.
The first 3 albums were all great , my personal favorite is still Pyromania , probably because when it came out I was in a state of flux from a divorce......
@@threeballedtomcat9380 ha, that has to be it. Pyromania is an excellent album!!!!
Agreed 100 percent
I agree. My favorite band as well. Euphoria being one of my favorites. It should have been a follow up to Hysteria, although I do love Adrenalize, Slang, Pyromania, Retro Active, High & Dry , etc
They surely been around for a long time and still continue to endure . I saw them on they’re Hi n Dry tour 1981, they were still teenagers. What a great show ,
I saw that tour too.August 1981 ,they opened for Ozzy with Randy Rhoades at Poplar Creek Music Theater near Chicago.HISTORIC !!!
Cool story. 🤘🏻
Dang, these guys have had their share of adversity, and yet, they're still here. God Bless 'em. 🙏
Rick Savage was accorded with the respect that most bassists are given in this documentary...not even mentioned once.
They are truly survivors! I give them alot of credit. My favorite Def Leppard album was Pyromania, which I bought when I was 17 years old while on a trip to Mexico.
There will never ever be another steve clark
My number one favorite band since I was nine! I love their music, their story, and their sheer strength to carry on even after all they've been through which is something to admire.. As for my favorite album, as cliche as it may sound, Hysteria!
Just saw them in Cleveland a few weeks ago. Love them as much now as I did back then.
Still one of the greatest bands ever!!! Allen is amazing! Overcoming such a terrible injury is incredible. Still sound great live!! 😊
Steve loved them and he would have wanted them to carry on I am glad Joe talked to Phill because Steve is in Heaven and he is so proud of his brothers in the band! I know he was there with them at the Rock Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony and he was so happy ! He had a front row seat in Heaven
And you thought Guns and Roses had major league drug issues. Still Def Leppard continues to function as a band like any band should. Good luck from their induction in the RnR HoF in 2019.
After all that this band has been through, it's amazing that they are still here and thriving. Love their music, classic. Hopefully a new generation of fans have found them❤️🇬🇧
I saw them with KISS in Atlanta several years ago- was beyond blown away. Sorry I didn't see them sooner 🤘🤙
Def leappard is my favorite rock band
Mine too!!!!
I remember that was a very wild time when Def Leppard was playing and making albums because i was doing much of the same things. It all seemed pretty normal when everything was happening then. But now it has the feeling that it was actually very radical and it would be impossible those good days and nights could ever happen again. So even though the bad times ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL.
Message Received!
You don't sell that many records if you're not talented. They must've been doing something right. God rest those who've left us and bless the remaining members. 🙏🏻🤘🏻
No matter what these guys have dealt with. Ricks accident and Steve's death . They have over come the tragedies and still keep a sold out show... Even in theirs 50s are 60s they still kick ass
The early stuff was the best. Once they started chasing after radio time and stopped playing most earlier stuff stopped listening to them
I've seen them twice ,and enjoyed both shows. First time, they opened up for The Pat Travers band in Sacramento, Memorial Auditorium, one of my first rock shows, and the first time they'd been to the US. They were all about 18 yrs. old ,at the most. Long time ago...
I love their Musick!!! 👍 🪨 🎶 🎷
Perfect Lyrics and Sound… Can’t beat it!
You forgot Rick Savage and his Bell's Palsy
Just saw them on Stadium Tour last Friday in Houston TX. They still got it. Rick played high voltage and full energy. Joe's voice strong Vivian and Phil rocked. We were all on our feet for most the show. Very impressive set
You’ll have to remake this vid……they forgot to add Rick Savage Bell’s Palsy diagnosis if I’m not mistaken year of 1994(?)…which…can affect his singing. And to this day Sav still suffering from it on/off. Sav first marriage…short…the marriage be, I think 1-2 years, the ex-wife got very rich out of it and much richer than the other Def Lep ex-wives who were married longer.
I thought the same.
I find it so hard to believe that anyone actually believes Def Leppard is a hair band. They are one of the hardest working, playing and sounding bands that has 40years under their belts. I rocked to them in elementary school and still do to this day! Super sad I won’t get to see them when they come to Seattle.
So what kind of band are they if they have shared stages with other popular hair bands?
Why won't you get to see them when they go to Seattle??? (Just curious)
@@matthewclay6535 sold out
@@nellynell9940 there have been many metal or rock bands that have shared the stage with hair, glam, even rap musicians and no one stereotypes them as any one thing just based on that reason alone.
Def Leppard were playing music before hair metal was a thing and have continued since it’s demise. I’d say they fall in line with AC/DC, Van Helen, Scorpions, ect.. Just great rock music.
@@TracyMarie71 so basically you cannot answer what kind of band they are. Understood.
Wow.. you do know you left out the original member of the band, right? I guess Sav should be grateful he only lived through one divorce, and only has to deal with one nasty disease. Oh, and he has the most beautiful smile that always lights up a room.
Cat tailz they mentioned Pete Willis
@@aprilgosa5779 Sav and Joe are the two originals and all we got was a quick clip of Sav talking.
The first two albums are killer💪🍻🎸
@ghost mall that's girl band shit. First two albums were pure balls to the wall with all original recording members. That other shit, they were playing for the radio not for themselves.
I met these guys on 2003. They were all cool as hell.
Def Leppard to me is one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time!!! Any group that can go through all that and still continue to rock out is hard core! Unlike GnR
Why do people like Guns N’ Roses.
@@godzillasimpson8357 no you mean why “did” people like them? They had good music until axle started acting like a little bitch and screwing people out of their money!
@@godzillasimpson8357 because they are awesome
Not to mention GnR started nearly 10 years after Leppard
@@jackbarras7119 they were awesome until the departures and of slash and duff, and the dismissal o sorum
Good job 😮😊
Thank you.
Wow...like fake and happy Instagram posts, you only see the successes of a band, but none of the setbacks, heartache and hurt that it took to get there. Def Leppard....I salute you.
one of my favorite bands of all time
No mention of Rick Savage’s bout with Bell’s Palsy in 1994?
Beautiful stories they still strong
They were and still are one of the greatest!
16 in 83 . It was the best summer I've ever had and Def Leppard was everywhere 🤘
Love Def Leppard!!!
God bless all the band individually and together with their families all my blessings I pray for all of you 🙏🙏🙏
My favorite àlbum is hysteria
A DL's film would be a Oscar's winner
Hugs ❤❤❤ keep fighting for what you love
I got to meet Steve and Phil in 1983
Didn't say much about Sav. Thats disappointing.
DEF LEPPARD ROCKS TOO MY FRIEND AND RICK ALLEN YOU ARE AWESOME TOO MY FRIEND
Saw them at The Omni in Atlanta 1983.
They are the best band ever❤️
The best of all
The first time I saw Def Leppard was in '83, at San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium. Also on the bill was Motley Crue.
I'll be seeing both bands again in a couple of weeks.
Saw them in Jax. Watching Motley Crue was painful. I wouldn’t get too excited for them. Everyone else kicked ass!
Clark was only 30 years old when he died. That’s young.
Steve had actually made it to his 31st birthday.
That Hall of Fame induction should have happened long before 2019. This is one of THE best rock bands, NOT hair bands. I've been a fan since 1982 and will be a life long one. I've seen them in concert in 1987 with Steve Clark and in 1992 with Viv. Unfortunately I did not get to see them on their 2022 tour but you can sure bet I will at their next one! ❤️
Def Leppard is still one of my all time favorite bands. Those people just don't understand the 1980's. I guess that's fair because I don't care for other forms of music as my go to either. I do however understand it, see how it led to music in later years. But that is their problem. Not Joe's or the rest of Def Leppard.
Grand Funk Railroad is not in the Bullshit RRHOF!!!!
Addiction comes through intentions but diseases and aging are the true enemy of humans.
Damn....over coming resistances 💪💯
God bless you Rick Allen 🙏🙏🙏
my favorite band for eva
2022 & imma still waiting for DEF LEOPARD BIOPIC MOVIE
Def Leppard were the ultimate road dogs in the late 70s, early 80s, while still teens. I saw them open for Ted, and 2 other bands Aerosmith maybe? in the space of a year and a half. Rock on
Def Leppard the best band ever
It's a shame this happened but it is what it is.
The love of his life was Lorelei Shellist, NOT Janie Dean.
My thoughts exactly!
I remember my firsy 2 tapes def and bon jovi woooo
i saw them many times in the working mens clubs and pubs of sheffield b4 fame.
they opened for ac/dc on british leg of highway to hell tour saw them at stafford bingley hall dont know about rest of tour
wow! good documentary', they had a lot of setbacks', but keep rollin on'! glad to see that joe', phil', rick', are more than alot of sex'drugs' and rock and roll',. peace
Okay, okay DL has had their ups and downs. However, they have always pulled through. I miss Steve Clark. He was a very good guitarist and musician. Vivian has been able to hold it down. Phil is a beast on guitar and helps to give DL that signature sound. DL is just not only a band. They are family! Through it all, they are indeed my all-time favorite band. I just love these guys! Period! Peace.
Viv able to hold it down? Really? Viv is on cruise control in Lep
@@daveg4236 - I wouldn’t say that at all! He is an effective guitarist for DL!! YOU do know that he once played with DIO? Not bad! Dude can play! He does his part effectively! It’s too bad that you see it another way! Everyone has their own thought! Cool, though. Peace to you! Don’t forget to keep rockin’!
@@darincampbell171 I know exactly who viv is
@@daveg4236 - Sorry, it was not my intention to offend you! We just have a difference in opinions! No problem at all! It’s all good! We can agree to disagree! Take care, Dude! Keep rockin’! Peace.
@@darincampbell171 not offended. I wouldn't write that Viv is on cruise control if I don't know who he is
Not sure Pete Willis got fair treatment as Steven Clarke's second/third/fourth/fifth chance, but Pete locked horns with Mutt immediately because of the repetitious style of recording, and the band did not want to lose their producer. Pete had his vices and turned into a 5 ft mega giant when he got drunk, but the band really was on the bottle and also had their issues.
I do not blame Pete for skipping the RRHOF, the man had said he retired from music and so he stuck to it.
I think the difference there was Steve was always sober when recording. Pete was pissed and couldn't play (he'd had warnings too!)
What about Sav? Doesn’t he even get a mention? Bloody hell!!!
do a Ministry series.
Def lepprad is best band
No wonder Mutt Lange hitch his wagon to Shania Twain. He probably had enough of all these band's drama. And the magic he created with his sexy gorgeous muse Shania will be enjoyed for several generation of music lovers. The Universe works in mysterious ways.🙌
What about all the messes of Motley Crue? Mick Mars contracted ankylosing spondylitis, Vince Neil killing his best friend in a drunk driving crash, and of course, there's Tommy Lee. Def Leppard handled all of their issues and continue as a great band today.
They were a very cool underrated band who had many good hits .The play hard life took its toll & the death of Steve Clark was their demise. imo. .
High n Dry is a Gem Side by Side with Highway to Hell with the Midas touch of Mutt langue!!!!!!
My fav band savatage went thro real hell..
Hands down High and Dry
at the end of this video they do advertise a program to deal with alcoholism, I ask any of you , drugs arent the only thing that can kill you, I lost a longtime friend who was going down the path like Steve Clark, and yes , in common, he also died, he was found dead in his house, drugs arent the only thing that will kill you, If you know someone like this , do what you can immediately
Def Leppard is one of the most resilient groups ever.
He has said that being kicked out of the band probably saved his life.
Phil Collen has a gorgeous body
God he sure does. He has agreed REALLY well.
@@creativegirl9710 uh huh, ♥️
They opened for van Halen. That's tough to beat
Rest in Peace 🪦 Pete Willis
I think basically Steve did what they warned him not to do he mixed alcohol and those medications and mayb more than he was supposed to and it got him as they warned it would
I have heard several different details of Steve Clarks death his alcohol level at the time of his death was .30% and there ws morphine in him I also read he died of an unintentional overdose of alcohol codeine and Valium Behind the music said it a bit different and his wikipedia also said Respiratory failure due t unintentional alcohol overdose and pills but I remember something about his heart or his brain too think his heart also I have never heard of Janie Dean his Fiancee at the time of his passing was named Lorelai Shellist. also I guess codeine and morphine are similar
In the British media/TV news it says morphine and antianxiety med. RUclips it death of Steve Clark.
From everything I have read him and Loreli had split up a while before he died and he was with his current girlfriend (Dixon)whom he met during one of his rehabs. I just read an article today, an old one where Phil was talking about it. I also read that he had gotten a restraining order on Lorelei before he died. I have no idea if that’s true or not but I read that in several particles and social media posts
On Through The Night is the worst album of Deaf Leopard 🐆.... just learning to be musicians
Def Lepoard is NOT a "hair band". Never has been.
I saw Def Leppard when Pete Willis was with them. They got booed off stage.
Pete Willis was the founder of the band. He started the whole thing. Get the facts right.
@@magnuswettermark8293 where did they say anything false? Pete Willis was with the band and now is isn’t…
They don't deserve it
I hear “Grunge” listens to Country…. 🤨
And viv Campbell got Hodgkin lymphoma requiring chemo
Hysteria is about me
Pyromania was 100% drum machine.
Wasn’t Rick Allen’s call.
@@LetsgoJags should have been. How are you not going to demand that your drummer drum? Their credibility went out the window w/ that decision. They should have told Mutt to eat a bag of d****.
Janie Dean was not the love of Steve Clark’s life. She was somewhat responsible for his death. Lorelei Shellist was the love of his life. Just saying.
WHAT THE...., the Terror Twins were Pete Willis and Steve Clarke, not Phil Collen
Stupid catch bait title - this is all old news
Their first few albums rocked then they sold out. Phil Collen even said that they thought of themselves to be more like duran duran. Thats not a good thing.
