I went to the Guns n Roses tour. Axl became infamous for screwing concerts up. He basically destroyed Guns N Roses. At my concert, he was over 3 hours late coming to the concert when it was 100*F. t was a stadium, and they ended up hosing people down to prevent heatstroke. People ended up having to leave to catch transportation home. Didn't support the band after that.
I actually think Lars ended up being correct about streaming because look what it has done to the music industry.
And the stranger things fans *tried* to cancel Metallica, and were shut down in about 6 hours because they came up against Metallica fans. Many had to delete their accounts. We lived through congressional censorship and the Satanic panic, lol.

Personal judgements aside, I think Guns is a very annoying band. Both voice and instrumental section. And yes, the Internet ruined, at least, the Metal Industry. Number of professional Metal bands whose careers started in the 21st century: ZERO. Big labels like Nuclear Blast, Century Media, and Metal Blade keep milking the dinosaurs from the 80's and 90's, also profiting with RUclips's revenues on that regard. But after those dudes are gone, bye bye. There are great Metal bands today, they are simply kept underground.

Only about 500-700 people ,very intimate and Armored Saint opened ,both bands stuck around and hung out after the show, smoked some pot ,drank a couple of beers and kirk was skateboarding around the place, Cliff was out in the crowd in the back watching Armored Saint ,a few of us jumped on stage and sang some parts, it was like a local band gig and it was unforgettable especially considering what the future held, I'll always remember how they were genuinely intrigued with what alot of us had to say and were asking questions it was just damn cool, where did you see them with Cliff?

I went to see Metallica open for Ozzy at Cal Expo in Sacramento in the summer of 1986, but just before the show began it was announced that Blue Oyster Cult would be replacing Metallica. I actually went to High School with Cliff Burton. He was a pretty cool 😎 dude for being an upper class man. I just remember him being into metal music. I started playing the guitar at 10 years old. I started out playing the Congas, and the bongos, then I graduated to the drums. But the guitar just always called me. In fact, when my Grandpa passed away, I got the very first guitar that I had ever played. My wife Sindi Lu perfectly measured the tuners and the barrels (it's a classical guitar). She did an amazing measuring job. The guitar is in excellent shape for it's age. But anyway, Cliff was just a person that you wanted to be noticed by. I always brought my guitar to school, and we would just jam on the lawn. Whenever James talks about the crash, that might be helping him out, but to me, that's not who Cliff was. He was a person who was always wanting to be in a band to get the girls. That's how I want to remember him, He isn't the way he died, he was the way that he lived.

As good as Justice album is, it definitely would of at least sounded better if Cliff was still alive. Justice was meant to be over the top because of their anger. But im confident in saying if Cliff was around, it would of been a better album. It would of still had that classic Metallica kind of vibe. It could of been even bigger than the black album who knows. Only mysterious thing about this would be, we wouldn't have that Justice sound or Black album sound. That was influenced by Jason joining the band. Because Jason played with a pick, his bass tone was more pronounced. So the guitar tones changed as well.

Black ice is almost impossible to see, because it's just a thin layer of transparent ice over asphalt. The ice is clear and gets its "color" from the road beneath it. I don't know how someone can return to an accident scene and search for black ice, especially if the temperature has risen and the ice melts.

It’s the only way it would make sense to be checking the scene out (in my opinion, anyway) since as they said, black ice is pretty much invisible and it would most likely be gone by morning. Conditions wouldn’t be the same every night, so it would be useless to go looking at any time other than the time of the accident.

Metallica is one of my favourite bands of all time, but they also got lucky. And it's important to mention that Mustaine's influence and teachings regarding how to play in tremolo, completely changed the game, regarding Metal. Metallica got this from him. Also, a significant part of Metallica's early sound comes directly from Diamond Head, which never really took of, and instead served as bridge for bands like Metallica. It's also not a secret anymore, that they ripped off several riffs from other bands, during that period. Some were very obscure, like Bleak House and Axe Witch. But one of them is even from David Bowie. The riff after the solo on Master of Puppets. It's literally the same as a previous Bowie release.

Tarot cards with blood that dated back to the Salem witch trials? I have never heard anything more ludicrous in my entire time as a witch, like 50 years. The cards would have disintegrated long ago, and even been eaten by bugs because of the blood. Plus there were no real witches at Salem, unless you count Tituba who confessed, but being an enslaved black woman, she was probably forced into that confession. And she lived to be sold by her owner. So y'all need to at least consult some real witches before making statements that are impossible to have happened, and actually can cause harm to our still maligned community. Take this back into post and cut out that last bit and we won't turn you into a newt.

I was at monsters of Rock in 1988 at the LA coliseum during the riot. It was unbelievably out of control and I do not like being around a lot of people. I remember a huge container of ketchup flying past us and splattering all over me all over my back all in my hair so my hair was all crunchy after it dried and a big container you know like those big 32 oz refillable jugs that you get at like Smart & final for picnics and stuff? Those sizes of mustard flu past us and hip my ex and a couple of my friends so we had mustard and ketchup all over us and that was at the beginning cuz Metallica played early it was still light outside. I was as sticky sunburn mess and then we get to our car and find that it was broken into at the end of the night and my purse was stolen. My ex's leather jacket was still sitting there but my freaking purse with my ID and everything in it was stolen. I was 17 years old then and goth AF but I worked for ticketron and I knew this was going to be a show that was going to make headlines so I pulled 10 tickets out cuz that was the max I could buy when they went on sale and got tickets about I want to say 14 rows back but don't quote me on that I'll have to look at my ticket stub which I still have. Cuz I want to see if in the right video if someone does something with it and makes it not so grainy and you can make out the people I want to see if you can see me in the crowd because I bet you can cuz I'm not far back. But yeah that's my claim to fame right there. Freaking catch up all over me sunburned with ketchup and then my purse stolen but it was a great show and let me tell you, the scorpions freaking ruled that show. They kicked ass just like ministry killed it at Lollapalooza when the Red Hot chili peppers headlined. Administrate took the show by the way just like the scorpions did it monsters Rock in my personal opinion. Scorpions kick ass and they sounded amazing live.

This is all bullshit. Although I have no proof, this is my hypothesis: Metallica's first three albums were magnificent, powerful, true thrash metal. When Cliff died, they tried to continue with thrash, but I believe they were aware that deep down, they were children of LA. ...And Justice for All is an album that tested that bifurcation between being a glam thrash metal band and a true thrash band. Without Cliff, they knew they didn't have the genius to continue down that path, so they had to decide whether to make real metal or ballads for teenagers. In the end, they opted for the Black Album, which is very good, a great album, but honestly, it could have been composed by Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains, or Pearl Jam. The Metallica of Kill 'Em All ended, and after the Metallica album, they became a rather boring band. However, thanks to the god of Metal, they left three unforgettable thrash metal albums, incomparable, far superior even to Slayer: Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets. Just for those three albums, Metallica deserves to be in the Rock Olympus, but frankly, they owe it to Cliff. I mean, they went to San Francisco; the first producer of their music wasn't from LA or NY, but from San Francisco. And they owe all of that to Cliff.
