Was fortunate to catch the band this week at Royal Festival Hall in conversation about their early years and launching their biography. Each and every one of them, in the band now, gone and departed included, are a class act. Hugely inspirational in so many ways, larger than life yet authentic and humble to the core. Thank you for all the music and the inspiration. Oh and their biography is an absolute cracker! Don’t miss it!!
but not so much Vivian...... maybe when he wrote the speech it slipped his mind.... and that "DOES" happen.... obviously he mentioned the cancer.. so Vivian is in their hearts and thoughts...
It's bands like Queen, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi that were responsible for my taste in music, my love of rock. Def Leppard's 'Adrenalize' album was a huge one for me, I had it on cassette and I played it ALL THE TIME. Out for walks, it was on my walkman. I wore the tape out and had to buy another one. The first one wasn't even mine, it belonged to my brother but he rarely saw it once I started listening to it! Thank you DL for being amazing all these years.
Wow what a wild run. When I was in high school in early 80’s, we had to ride the bus for about an hour to and from school cuz we lived in rural area (Indian reservation). I remember this young guy would bring his big cassette player and blasted “Pyromania” or “High in Dry”. That’s how I became a Def Leppard fan. Congratulations to them and Rock on 🤘🏻

I’ve never known such a nice and grounded rock group who still act the same no matter how much money they have earned. Well deserved guys you should have been in the Hall of Fame years ago
The love they showed for Rick here was so sweet. Long live The Thunder God ❤️🤘
Grown up with this band...first album I ever bought was pyromania, I'm 47 years old now and still love these guys.
Rick Allen is rightfully the drummer for this band. He is the heart of Def Leppard.
I love this speech. I have watched it a bunch of times and enjoy it a bit more each time.
7:12 I'm in tears. You are amazing Rick
absolute class by true gentlemen. this band deserves all the accolades from their hard work embroiled with tragedy but managing to stay humble, continuing to perform with the same energy and enthusiasm and love. this band has always made me happy and made me get into electric guitar. i miss you steve! you were my first guitar hero!
that is one heart-touching speech by Brian May, Def Leppard must have felt very emotional
I listened to Def Leppard for the very first time in Monterey CA. Photograph!!!
I still and always will be A Big Fan. Went to see them at the Tacoma Dome for my birthday, October 1992??? I went with my sister, Donna Gregg. We're both back in Alaska. Loved Seattle, Portland... actually, the Great Northwest Territory!! Good times!!
Love how real they are...Kudos Rick you deserve it!!
Ya dont get more real than YORKSHIRE, Yay Rock on :)
Rick is the embodiment of the "FK YOU!" that follows when someone says you can't do something. Love that guy!!
Hail the God of Thunder.
Love from Down Under.
Long live & keep thrashin'!

I have never cried watching one of my these speeches but this one sure got me! These guys have heart! I love that they have stood there test of time!
Rick getting a standing ovation is like, duh of course he would, but still to see and hear it and to see in his face how much it meant to him feels good
Awww, so sweet the dedication to Rick Allen was, tears, tears, and more tears!
Don’t miss it!!
august 14th was one of my greatest day of my life, watching them live in las vegas, cheers and long live this rock machine!!!
Por estos señores ..es que amor el rock desde los 90 siempre los escucho y no me canso hasta el fin defleppard
You guys deserve it , pity Steve didn't make it , he is still rocking with you guys but in spirit. Keep rocking
It was nice that Joe mentioned Steve.
but not so much Vivian...... maybe when he wrote the speech it slipped his mind.... and that "DOES" happen.... obviously he mentioned the cancer.. so Vivian is in their hearts and thoughts...
@@zolitariglussey6302 He didn't talk anything about Phil Collen or Rick Savage either. The "cancer" is certainly referred to Viv.
God....the ovation for Rick.....just the emotion of the moment. Just awesome.
Switch 625 gives a great example what impact Steve had. RIP.
A very Special band congrats from Mexico I know this band since 1983 aprox, 🤟🏽
It's bands like Queen, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi that were responsible for my taste in music, my love of rock. Def Leppard's 'Adrenalize' album was a huge one for me, I had it on cassette and I played it ALL THE TIME. Out for walks, it was on my walkman. I wore the tape out and had to buy another one. The first one wasn't even mine, it belonged to my brother but he rarely saw it once I started listening to it! Thank you DL for being amazing all these years.
Best song ever, when love and hate collide! Congratulations Def Leppard!
My dude, Steve... Goddamn I miss you. Your compositions put these talented blokes on the map. You are sorely missed.
Wow, what a complete class act. Love these guys.
One of the best f*ckin speeches ever! LOVE Rick Allen!
Congratulations to them and Rock on 🤘🏻
Always have and always will LOVE DEF LEPPARD! Long may they continue 🥰
❤
This is the best speech ever! I was 12 years old and discovered High N Dry. Every day I still listen to Mirror Mirror when I work out .
Let’s all give a huge shout out to Me and My Wine!!! The greatest added single to any re-release and they video of Rick drumming in a bathtub
No. Rick was on the toilet. Phil and Steve were playing guitars in the bath...
Stevie wonder and cheap trick did IT better
great song.
Been a leppard fan since early 80s
Yea.. we know...You say this in every post
Just scrolling through RUclips and go,
HUH?? I thought Def Leppard BEEN made the Rock N Roll hall of fame. Long deserved, but better late than never. They’re Dope
AF🔥🔥👊🏽
Steve Clark is the greatest ever!~ they were so lucky to have him~
thanks for the Steve Clarke tribute......
Congratulations Def Leppard!!
🎤🎸🎶🎵🎼
ahhh bless him... standing ovation well deserved. :D
they still rocking and rolling.. saw them last night and it was another amazing concert! They sound so so good.
Hello,how are you doing?
I'm so envious! I have several health issues that prevent me from doing much.
Wouldn't be able to handle a concert, although I did a lot when I was younger!
I still love these guys and will forever miss Steve Clark. This induction was a VERY long time coming and very well deserved. I wish so much that Steve could have been there too. I believe he was there in spirit and certainly in their hearts. ❤
