Fun Warhammer 40k fact,
Anthropomorphic characters do exist in the universe, they aren't that common sure but they would be considered Imperial citizens
which means space marines would protect them and/or fight by their side

That depends, the anthropomorphic people of 40K are considered mutants and lower class. Some people may have no problem, but the eclesiarchy will simply eradicate them if they are suspected of heresy, leading to those who are in any position that is not simply scraping the shit out of the streets some of the most devout followers of the imperial creed. Sadly this means they often hate themselves and feel they were punished, and often hate themselves more than many guardsmen, who they are also more devout than as well.
Depends on the chapter. Most anthropomorphic animal offshoots of humanity are classified as abhumans, and thus don't entirely enjoy the same rights and privileges as normal humans. Some chapters, like the Salamanders or Blood Angels, are perfectly fine with them, and the Space Wolves in particular actually have "furry" abhumans among their ranks (Fenrisian Wolves are actually descended from humans due to a gene mod gone out of control). Others, like the Red Scorpions (genetic purist ethnostateists), Black Templars (psychopathic zealots) or Marines Malevolent (perpetual douchebags) would kill on sight. Most chapters would lean more towards "we don't like you guys because you're not entirely human, but you're still human enough that we're not going to give you trouble".
Yeah that's fair enough I wasn't going too deep into the lore since you'd need wright like a 2 page paragraph just to explain some stuff, also even though I know the black templars are a bit crazy to the point if slaughtering their primaris reinforcements. I don't think they'd kill on sight, esspecially if they in the middle of combat

Yeah, the problem with the Black Templars is that they take the whole "purge the mutant, the witch and the heretic" thing to its illogical extreme. To them, there's no difference between a stable abhuman strain and a Chaos mutation. The Black Templars were where the nutjobs and psychos of the Imperial Fists ended up during the Second Founding, after all, and I'd honestly argue that they could be considered a "loyalist renegade" chapter - still Imperium-aligned but completely acting on their own.

My ex-bf was a furry hater. He hated furries so much he started drawing comics of furries getting killed by (as you've mentioned) the Doom guy and other such characters. Unfortunately he didn't like the way the furry characters always turned out, so he started practicing drawing them... As you may have guessed, he inevitably got really good at it, started messing around, and eventually created a whole custom species for his sci-fi fursona

Guys, I have to admit, I was an anti-furry for a while but slowly I started to research a little more about furries and I realized that they were not what people say, the truth is that I am disappointed in the anti-furry community now. They only make animations of furries being killed or annihilated or making memes about that and I ended up joining a discord group and what I saw most were insults and grotesque images of furrys being killed, but the anti-furrys are not a threat since They only insult and threaten but they don't act until I realized that even furrys act, for example I once searched for "anti-furry" and videos of anti-furry memes appeared but when I saw the covers I realized that even furries act Well, let's think... who would bring a real weapon to a convention and also threaten. I went on a 4B year expedition to find who asked and I went to Mariana trench as a good start and searched every corner in there but didn't find who asked. I went to search inside Russian borhole but the one who asked wasn't there either. I interrogated 4.5B people from around the world and hoped that one of them would be the one who asked but in the results, still didn't find who asked. So, I went to North-Korea but still didn't find who asked so, I bought a space craft and some moon rovers to search for the one who asked on the moon. But the one who asked also wasn't there. So, I searched every single planet in the universe but still didn't found who asked. On the way to the next search spot, I accidentally found the cure of cancer and rabies while also accidentally saving the dying sun. The next search spot was EVERY SINGLE PLANET in the famous videogame "No Man's Sky." But there was no single clue or trace of the one who asked. Then, I went to search on all the satellites of all the planets in the universe but still didn't find the one who asked so I, went to the nether but still didn't find the one who asked. So, I went to the Super Star Destroyer and on our way their, we saw the Voyager satellite but even at the Super Star Destroyer, the one who asked also wasn't there. So, I decided to give up, head home and declare that if NO ONE ASKED.

As used to be an anti-furry to furry it really wasn't that it was just my friends being anti-fur and telling me only the bad side and how furrys are pathetic, so they made me an anti-furry for a while until I just stopped listening to them and looked at the furry fandom for once and yeah, I became one.

But hey, stay on the positive side, being a furry has a lot of advantage, a lot of furries are on the autism spectrum which ultimately offers a refuge for those who are also on the autism spectrum, not only that but those suits make you actually feel like "hidden" which makes for introverts like me something good to talk to people.
Overall the fandom is a very nice.
Just don't go at the wrong place at the wrong time.

thank you for the warning but i am here to defend the frontlines from 9 year old antifurs.
Honestly I used to think that furries were weird and cringe, but honestly once I actually got to see that being different was okay at an anime convention, I got to see how fun it actually is to interact with the community with the art, the people, and the fact that they are accepting towards something weird and have fun away from their daily lives. All i'm saying is, after I got to interact with people, not just furries but also cosplayers or anime enjoyers etc, I really got to see it from their perspective and how fun it actually could be.
It's just beautiful to see everyone from various community come together and have fun
I have a friend that is in the military, going to school for a civil engineering degree, is a black smith for fun and made their own set of armor. He even trains and does sword fighting tournaments. He's a bit shy about liking furry stuff. lol, laterally he's a Bad A with a heart of gold.

What’s even funnier about these characters they choose is that a majority of these characters could never canonically care in any way because they are too hyper-focused on their motives. In what universe would Doom guy pause his onslaught to even SLIGHTLY look in the direction of some people dressing up as fictional cartoon animals? As a new furry myself (at 24 yo), officially having an anthro animal as my online avatar back in late December 2022, I have been haunted by the feeling lately that I'm essentially 'late' in joining the community, how to overcome this?
I joined the furry community around 2018 and I used to feel the same, but now I always just default to wise words of Gandalf: "A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he needs to"

I knew I was a furry from a young age as I loved many movies and tv shows with anthropomorphic animals. I never fully embraced being a furry until many years later, basically when I saw the movie Zootopia. I’m 30 and a furry, and I joined the fandom at the age of about 25 or 26.
Don’t listen to the kids in the fandom that say you have to be young to be a furry.
Don’t listen to the kids who call everyone older than like 28 in the fandom a grey fur or a grey muzzle.
You are never too old to join a hobby or a fandom that is totally harmless (at least in theory, there are some bad furries in the fandom but not as many as people think.)
Some furries haters and anti furries seem to sometimes just be secretly furries at stage one of grief: *denial*

Originally, I was something of a mild anti-furry (opinionwise as my opinion was personal rather than expressed on the internet). This was because of internet relevance being given to extreme examples of furries. However, I would later find out (through some Soothouse comment sections) that these are small examples within a much larger community; just as I was ashamed to share the same air with these rare hyper-obsessed 7th circle zoophiles, so were many people within the fandom. I would also come to find out (through a coincidental RUclips recommended video by Duchess Celestia) that the fandom itself has actually proven to be a safe space for people who are LGBTQ as well as people who are neurodivergent. As a result, my opinion has changed for the better and, speaking as a former Halo and DOOM fan, it is refreshing to see a more accepting fandom with less elitism (as far as I know of).

I was a furry hater, then watched vivziepop’s die young music video. Tapped into my childhood with Dragon’s Tales. Next thing I knew I was drawing anthro characters in middle school which started my art career. Also when I suffered through a series of traumatic events ending up with PTSD, I had a bunch of military furs and a real therapist who was a furry get me through and how to live without it eating my life away. After I got back on my feet, met a damn good woman who doesn’t mind me being a furry. I never thought dropping the hate and jumping into this community would impact my life for the best, so thank you and I love you all!
My girlfriend is a furry like me, so are more than half of my friends. As for my girlfriend, it’s one of the reasons I love her is I know she won’t judge me for being a furry and I won’t judge her.
