Don’t sell yourself short. Being an example and encourage people to get out riding very well could save someone’s life. Encouraging a 65 year old guy watching RUclips videos and sitting on a trainer that he can do this thing does more than you can imagine. I watched you over and over last winter. It took me 13+ hours but I did it and it was life changing. Thank you.

I was there in '22 when the race was cut short due to rain. The mud on the Maah Daah Hey is no freakin joke. If it rains, you aren't riding anymore, you're hiking and your shoes weigh 30lbs each and your bike is 50lbs. I want to go back and finish the course. Its an amazing route.

It always amazes me how many people say that cycling, and usually MTB, saved their lives. I count myself amongst them and truly believe there is something magical about the bike and a long hard trail. Great video. I'm gonna have to check out this Maah DaaH Hey.

This trail is amazing. I did it with 2 friends unsupported from CCC to Medora in the early 2000s. I hauled all my gear in a B.O.B. trailer. They both used Panniers. It took us 3 days and it was way more challenging than I ever thought it would be.
I can't even imagine doing it all in one shot without stopping.
If it's not dry, you can't ride it. That mud is so thick and sticky that your bike will stop moving.

This film makes me want to pin a number on and race MTBs for the first time in around 30 years. The sense of community reminds me of what I found in the early 90s MTB. Such a great story, well told and beautifully filmed. 🖤

Thank you for a highly inspiring film. It was awesome. My strongest feeling from watching is that those cyclists, especially Kelly and Tyler, are very nice human beings. Impressive.

I really thought this was an outstanding film. I remember when I accomplished my first century on a road bike. Obviously, that’s nothing compared to what these guys did that day and you know do in their sleep all the time. But I also could relate very much to them, I just wanted to say to all you guys involved. Thank you so very much for this was wonderful.

Awesome video! I lived in North Dakota for 6 years and did a lot of mountain biking and hiking on the mdh it was awesome getting to see videos and images that I recognized from my time spent there. My daughter has gotten into mountain biking with me so we might have to make a trip out there this summer.

Done this race and loved the scenery. I thought hardest part was all the exposure and lack of shade due to date. For me, killer.. I have gone back and rode it on it's own and loved it and did a 2 day bikepack with kids.

the poetry of body and machine in that effort is awe inspiring but the comraderie and respect for fellow competitors is the true measure of this film and event.

Really nice film and great story, but pretty disappointing that the race organizers didn’t block off that wrong turn better at the fork on the final loop. Did I understand that correctly? It would’ve been great to have the two compete over the final 10 miles, instead of having the winner decided by Tyler taking a wrong turn.

@thestablecyclist not sure if you have any additional context on this. Regardless, appreciate the film and great watch.

Everything was well marked but due to the weather causing the out and back + loop, there were multiple race distances that day using both parts of the trail (and intersection) and so one could get turned around, especially 95 miles into a very hard day. It is unfortunate for all involved. Everyone (organizers, races, volunteers) did their best with what they had and things just got scrambled for a bit. Hopefully that clears things up.
