I like them. The bowmen one was awesome I tried it and it's nothing but death. I'm playing on realistic atm with death enabled so there's alot of YEET moments
Lmao, that looter towards the end throwing his rock was like leonidas in 300 when he was throwing his spear at xerxes while his men were getting massacred by arrows. His defiance in the face of death and throwing that staple weapon of looters makes him one of the greatest looters I've ever seen. RIP.

PSA: the ulfhednar's stats are wrong. Their polearm stat is 130 and their two handed is 80. It should be the other way around.
ya the devs probably forgot that the two handed axes in bannerlord are actually two handed. in warband, the best axes were polearms that could alternate to two handed.
They’ve made a lot of similar mistakes. Imperial crossbow men have higher bow skill than crossbow for one
This guy is also playing the game on Easy, meaning his troops take less damage, have more health and deal more damage. So that by itself is a greater "margin of error" than the 80 to 130 stat differential. So.... Yeah.
Sturgia's nobles the "druzhinnik champion" with a giant lance, and no bow has 60 in polearm and 220 in bow... they even made mamlukes mounted archers... like what?
a modder discovered that unit stats do nothing for regular units at this stage of the game just the equip changes how they perform
the real question is who has the best peasants?
Pinner Otis in online I would either say sturgians with better army and 2 handed axe or vlandians with bills

@@nagirok1 But we Battanians only have throwing weapons. I think maybe the Khuzaits or maybe the Vlandians if you want a shielded peasant.

I mean what did we expect? One of these guys held up a 15 000 army on a bridge cutting down 40 of them until he was stabbed from below :)

@An Average Guy yeah, but it's probably greatly exaggerated. Probably a handful of elite huscarls holding back a much larger force on the choke point in the bridge until they were stabbed from underneath. A single man wouldn't be able to hold them back for long, no matter how crazy.

@@nuclearlefthook5008 Or only a few man(20) were his opponents and after he killed a few(maybe 2-4) of them they decidet to wait until the whole army was there to cross the brige and someone went down and killed him and the man who killed him started talking about how smart he was and now we are stuck with this story
Along with a lot of people in the comments here, I gotta agree. Playing on easy greatly misrepresents how well units perform. Realistic would bring better results imo.
12:28 I feel honored sir! But I was actually talking about the brigand troop tree. However that can be a video on its own. These single troop videos are so enjoyable to watch (those slow mo's and close up, just perfect) and I'm kinda suprised how much damage the bezerkers could tank.
How about we see some bandits in action? We all know how strong forest bandits are lol

The berserkers are doing so well because it’s on easy mode.
The archers would do much more damage to them if it were on realistic.

Its enjoyable but its not a fair comparison when its on easy. I get that most people play this way but its not really good to compare troops.
That first fight surprised me as recruits are so much weaker than Sea Raiders, is that on Realistic ?
It's very easy mode for sure. Sea raiders are quite strong for early game, no way recruits would take them

Do believe the game is on 2/3 damage. Not easy but not realistic. At least it was in the archer one

Ulfhednars are *useless* dont waste your Berserker with upgrading them. 10 Lowtier Archers can wipe out dozens auf them, before they can throw just one Axe. Not to mention sieges.
or you can use them how they're intended and have them charge in formation behind shields... But i mean who wants to use their brain right? Just make an entire army of light armored shock troops and charge them at archers. Lol
@@NikukaiFightOn yeah so... how do you do chaz in a battle where the ai rushes you 9/10 and is on your line in about 10 sec. How do you seperate all your Ulfhednars from your line infantry put them in cover all the while you are skirmishing / fighting NME cav ? I think someone smart would just dich the shok infantry for more usefull tools, like horse archers or more cav. Cause in bannerlord right now there not a lot of place for creative tactics
@@Praskful You can set them as a seperate unit so they can be comanded seperately from your regular infantry

Honestly, I doubt dropping a weapon that only weighs a few kgs at most would help anyone run faster.
@@LexieAssassin It's not so much the weight as it is the weight distribution. It might only be a few kilos, but it's a few kilos that muck up your balance just enough to noticeably slow you down.
IDK, I'm still skeptical. I figure there's always gonna be a way to do it where the impact of holding onto your weapon is negligible at best. Plus, at any rate, isn't it better to hold onto it anyways just to defend yourself?

i would say 70 % of the players play on 2/3 he even said that in one of the last videos that its on 2/3 because most players play on that difficulty
ikr,i like an idea of videos,but the fact that they are made on 2/3 and not in realistic is..confusing.Like go test stuff on realistic and if its good on realistic u can be sure it will work great on lower difficulites.Because its doesnt seem fair and accurate,nomatter how much players play on 2/3.

Hi mate, how about a full armour of vlandian pikemen? alexander style! or a large army of vlandian voulgiers (their polearms do 188 swing damage which is insane)

Next video you should check out the Aserai Mamluke Palace Guards. Awesome two-hander heavily gold armored infantry.

Ulfednar perform really well. In one battle today, my lone Ulf dude had 38 kills all to himself. Just need to feed them some high grade spice before the battle and all will be well.

He plays on easy. Makes a lot of his statements kinda dumb, like "these guys are so powerful, we only lost 3 men!" etc... Still fun videos, but I would like to see how units perform on realistic.

@@Luvzilla4rilla He stated in a earlier video that he plays on easy (Not Super Easy but Easy, I.E middle difficulty) because he assumes most people play on that diffulty, he supports his claim by saying that super easy is of course a cake walk while realistic may be a bit challenging for most people.

Somehow in my game, khuzait nomads always seem to kill twice as many compared to their deaths despite meeting mid-tier troops, check them out maybe?

I’ve noticed that a lot of armies have like 70% tier 1&2, 20% tier 3 and 10% of tier 4 and higher. I usually just set up defensive positions, let my horse archers go one way and I’ll go another way by myself. They face the horse archers in their formation, I’ll ploughing through them with a couch lance. Usually I try to hit the commander. After that they’re usually pretty disorganized. I’ll either pull back and lead them into my archers who quickly cut them down and then let my whole army charge and slaughter them. Usually just end up with a few wounded troops. If the army had a lot more lower tier troops I’d often beat armies twice my size with minimal losses (I play on 2/3 damage, realistic isn’t fun to play, 1/3 is a little to easy, though sometimes you get these one offs where you just get wrecked and it leaves you like WTF just happed?)

Suggestion for the next chapter: Skolder units. Vlandian sharpshooters are a good range-melee hydrib with more emphasis on range while not being excelent at it like bow units due low fire rate. The Skolder Veteran Brotvas should be the same but with more emphasis on melee due their high amount of javelines.

I'd love to see a vid on the Khuzait infantry which I think are prolly my favorite infantry cause on their final level they have spears, swords, javelins, and a shield. I love em.
I can't wait to see someone make a Renaissance-themed modpack/campaign for Bannerlord. Imagine having a platoon of Landsknecht doppelsoldner equivalents and using a pollaxe.

You could always send them vs... lets say Vladian footmen to get some sweet butter or something.
Because If I put up 100 Swadian Sergants against your 100 Zerkers... lets just say it would not be the same result than having 100 random, mostly recruit troops

This type plus sword and board armies probably going to be still viable even after they fix AI armies using 90% recruits. Pure bow builds will just get overwhelmed simply by tier 2-3 infantry if they are in a reasonable number. Even now going up against Sturgians with full bow builds show a major difference to other armies.
Those X-Wings truly are insane
Having the cleaving mod really pump theese guys up, i would say they are not so effective without that mod, but in any case i think it really suits them, specially if playing in realistic mode where they get wrecked from heavy ranged fire.

I think in one of the earlyer videos he showed that he was on 2/3 dmg, because that is what most people probaly play at. I think in this case it shouldn't make a hughe difference though. Here for the entertainment mostly anyways and hell was that glorious!
@@kaiwelos3731 From my experience playing with realistic damage anything without a shield tends to die in droves, these guys are no exception. Pretty much only worth it if your enemy has no archers and they're godawful in sieges.

Since axes have bonus against shields, you should try fighting against shield walls.

Well to be honest testing on different difficulties never hurts. Doing it lesser gives people on that difficulty some info, while upping the difficulty will give different results. Ide imagine he is going to do more videos on different difficulties. Already just on easy these videos are already very long.

Welp, I found my goto army for my glitched 1k medic player. 1k medic= 400 extra troop hp... Combine that with the athletic +4% foot troop hp for extra fun.

This is a great way test. But i need episode 2 for them. Test them in more situations. In captain mode and campaign. More types of units.

The most dissapointing unit I've found so far. It is expected of them to wear light/no armor, but their skill is just bad. Upgrade them and they trade their armor for a wolfskin and lose 20 skill points from the two handed skill and drops it at 80 (which btw is their only weapon). They basically take the money you give them, gamble it away and return addicted to alcohol.
The Gachi-men are strong, but are susceptible to being penetrated...by arrows among other things.
Now for the most powerful throwing unit

Ulfhednars are trash. Devs did their stats wrong, they're bound to be reworked for their two handed deflect perk mastery.
10 tier 3 archers can dispatch 10 Ulfhednars easily
Well, archers are inherently superior to everything, the only counter is to block or wait for them to run out of arrows, if your shield breaks then you’re screwed because that means your in range for an arrow to the face

i'm curious to see how these elite troops fare against each other if i'm honest, we see them destroy armies with lots of recruits but surely that is to be expected, how do they go against each other??
So as far as playing on easy vs realistic. I don't think it matters. There's no real point in testing units if they're subject to extreme changes throughout development.
