I love literally everything about this reveal. How smart it is, how manipulative he is, the fact that he was completely right about him being a nerd, how we still manage to feel bad for her, how much he actually beat her at her own game, the fact that it’s a nice twist on the typical liar reveal trope, etc.
This scene broke my heart. Gaten is such a sweet person and always plays the sweet guy so if I’m being honest I was so sad when I realized he was lying and is actually a bad person bc gaten is just so sweet.
"I am a nerd, that doesn't mean I'm a good person" By far the best line in the movie (and great casting choice having it said by Gaten Matarazzo, the "good nerd" in Stranger Things). As a proud nerd for all my life I always in some way thought that we were somehow better than most of the others, I don't really think that, but I know more than occasionally I felt that way (wether I like it or not). After many many years and especially after nerds became more and more popular but also seeing many great instances of nerds being genuinely bad person, I was forced to realize what this movie stayed so concisely yet so eloquently with that line. :(
michael in my opinion is the best fucking villain and character ever. i literally could not speak after watching this movie. what he did was so jaw dropping and tbh he was so real for that. i mean its a teen movie and SOMETHING like that had to happen at some point. it was honestly very interesting to learn about his real life and how he wasnt a poor kid after all. i think my favorite scene in “honor society” was where him and honor break into his house and he pretends that its someone elses house bc it just shows how much of a liar he was and i just relate to that so fucking much. even tho micheal is a villain hes like top 3 of my favorite comfort characters of all time. even tho he fucked honor up.
But even Michael says that she loves and cares about these people, unlike him, he was actually selfish and a total dirt bag, and all he ever cared about was Harvard, and even though he was “bullied” doesn’t mean he had to hurt others that didn’t even do anything to him
@@maeve6004 Yeah, but he didn’t really hurt anyone, he just outsmarted someone who tried to bring him down. I get she caught feelings but she isn’t the hero just because she has a change of heart. I don’t think he’s a villain in this story, he just played the player imo 🤷♂️
@@Ethan-br5jd eh making her cry and breaking her heart is hurting her. He also was richer then everybody else, and could probably afford college, unlike them who had to work really hard because they didn’t have as much money as him
@@maeve6004 No I agree with you, he definitely is set when it comes to money for college, which is why I totally enjoyed Kennedy getting into Harvard, but the thing is he broke her heart because he knew her plan from the get go. He’s not a bad person for tricking her into not following through with her plan. He understood her intelligence, and didn’t underestimate her, which is how he used that against her in the end. I think they both did wrong, and now they both don’t get the ending they envisioned for themselves, except Honor made friends whereas Michael will just move on 🤷♂️
This scene made me soooo sad!! I wanted them to be a couple sooo badly. I thought that he would say something like “But I did get feelings for you and they are still their” 😭😭😭😭
this movie is about Honor, her growth as a person, and her ever growing 'society'... which unfortunately for Michael ended up not including him. I'm glad she realized her mistake and stopped herself. Michael misses out on having this kind, real, wonderful girl in his life.
She still got the last laugh in the end, she could've easily got the recommendation by blackmailing Mr. Calvin with the audio but chose not to. It's kinda like a revenge especially when it feels like he owes her everything and make it look like she pity him. It's like spiderman beating the shit out of kingpin and letting him live after, just to make him feel ashamed of himself.
Honor what about you? You were just a pond in this game that we call life someone can seem good but it doesn’t mean that they’re not bad he tricked you to get ahead to get what he wanted. You try to make him the sucker and end up playing yourself in the end everybody always shows their true colors. This was always him you just didn’t wanna believe it. you got played by a person you try to be so bad if anything you should feel bad cuz you lost
I hate this film because it’s actually good but it pisses me off she’s just mad her bullshit messed up self centered plan backfired from an innocent person who saw it coming……
He made a horrible mistake. You can manipulate people and be nice at the same time. By turning someone against you like that, you just increase probability of being burned.
Because he already feel numb from the inside because he have been bullied for years. When he knew honor plan to bring him down i think that's the last straw and decide that he will be the worse type of himself.
@@soluspix5880 Again, that's amateur attitude, by hurting someone like this unecessarily, he's making himself a new enemy. If you want to use someone properly, you have to hide it from them, even after you're done using them.

I was actually really damn glad to here him say that even as a nerd myself. Because he was 100% right there.

Whenever she says “doctor who was real though” it BREAKS MY HEART💔
I was almost sad about it until i remembered everything she had done
Everyone’s talking about how bad they feel for honor, but she was gonna play him in the beginning. She could’ve drugged him. The player got played.
You have a good point
People forget that she was also a bad person
You are right, but people make mistakes. She came around and learned from those mistakes.
