      I disagree! The exposure from the MT series is great (and the extra income too, I presume), but those rescue episodes are so heavily edited that there's no sense of the time and effort they required -- and the physical and mental toll on Derek and friends is plain to see. I really don't like that series. His self-produced RUclips work is FAR better in my opinion.

    Whats interesting here is that VGG is now delivering the cabibre of content Hot Rod/Motor Trend did before they put it behind a paywall. Obviously, there is a demand for this on YT! Between this, DD Speed Shop, Stay Tuned -- is anyone paying MT anymore?

    Call me a stick in the mud but I just don't get the burn out pit thing. So you make a car that can burn the tires off (not that hard) and then take it out there and spin donuts around with it. How much talent does it take to do that? Drag racing is great, takes driving skill and mechanical skill to build a car that will go fast in the 1/4 mile. If you could strap a monkey in the seat of a burn out car and show him where the go fast pedal is, I'm sure he would figure out the rest. Just not my cup of tea.

    • @mkeolver
      @mkeolver 8 месяцев назад +3

      To be fair burning out the tires while spinning around in a Dodge Viper while maintaining control and not smacking up against a wall does sound like it would take some skill.

    Really liked the burnout comp at the start of the video, loved seeing anything and anyone have a go, it was very down to earth 👌

    That doorless Charger just has that little bit of something special that make it more than the sum of its parts. It’s special. It looks like it was created by a professional Hollywood effects crew for a dystopian Mad Max’esque yarn.

    Been addicted to this channel from day 1….. I personally grew up being a diehard Ford guy, but over time although I’ve continued my love of Ford trucks I’ve become more of a Chevy guy when it comes to cars… This guy is awesome. I like how he shows a love for all older forgotten vehicles although he’s clearly a gm guy at heart lol
