James and Garret act like they are brothers. They pick on each other, they inspire each other, they taunt and push each other to do better, they make stuff up's together and then learn to fix it together and they have each other's back. I just hope life is kind to them both and the get to be Bro's forever!
Well this was my favorite episode to date.. but I feel like this needs to happen with the whole Cleeter crew.. from Cleetus to Sam and everyone in between lol.. I personally would love to know more about all these fellas
@@DjSubstain I know this information as I am already subbed to Cooper but he's no Derek.. and no offense to Cooper he's great but Derek is my favorite so for me it's a no brainer lol
The fact that James called out McFlurrys time to the tenth before it was even built. Iirc his first full pass was 8.58 ?? These guys are both legends!!
Jack Stand needs his own podcast. He has so much knowledge to share with young guys looking to turn wrenches and go racing. I could listen to him all day.
This is probably the best 'talk show' an auto parts supplier could ever host! I've been following Derek and James both for several years now on their respective channels, and to see these two together talking shop has been the highlight of my day!! Great stuff you guys!😄👍
Listening to Derek and Jackstand talk about growing up learning to wrench and learn from failure is like hearing my own life story. I could listen to them talk all day.
Im 53 snd run my own shop after years of working for other small shops and car lots, and learned everything from dad to start, then trails and errors, alot from old timers i worked with, and just listening to guys like james and Derek
Wow! Thank you Derek,, AND James. Many of these questions are questions many of us have wondered. We were introduced to James by following our buddy Cleetus and know he's one sharp hotrod wrench and pilot. Thank you both,, this was AWESOME!!
My dad is the guy to the left of the Nova at 11:38 . we used to live at Bradenton back in the day and i remember seeing that Nova . It''s surreal how popular that place is now from FL2k and Cleetus n cars
I've followed VGG for a good long time and love the way Derek talks to a feller through the camera, but this is the episode which got ITA in my recommended feed. That's a new sub! Good work, O'Reilly.
Derek went from a guy with a rig and tools with 150,000 subscribers. To becoming the literal new FACE of O’rielly auto parts. Like this is truly amazing.
Outstanding job Jackstand!!!! you both are amazing automotive technicians. Just wanted you both to realize the magnitude of inspiration and motivation you both give people that watch you all... God bless and thank you for all you guys do. I truly appreciate it 🙏
James never does stuff like this so first Congratulations on that !!!!!!!! The only thing wrong is it could of been a couple hours longer . Thank You Derek for this !!!!!!!
I can attest to what James says about just go to the track. I had a 01 lightning with a tune and a pulley. Every Thursday at holiday raceway in west blocton, AL was test and tune. And it was only and 1/8 mile track. 10 bucks and run as much as you want. I loved going. When I beat a brand new c6 corvette I was hooked. Never made it far but still have the passion. Looking back it wasn’t stupid fast. 7.60 at 89 was my best time but man it was fun.
Yep! Nothing like putting lengths on a sports car in a truck. Back in the day I had built a turbo silverado and it was really quiet. Nothing like having the guy with his new car come find you in the pits asking what in the world you had under the hood haha
Cleetus got this far because of his team and having jackstand lead that team. Cleetus should let the guys bring in their projects and spend couple weeks making videos working on the crews cars. Obviously when cleets cars are considered "done". Be cool to see their personal projects getting done from time to time and im sure the guys would enjoy showing them off on camera
I would LOVE to watch you two resurrect an old Chevy and then drive it 1,943 miles back to the shop! The two of you would be hilarious to watch swap stories.
2 legends. I was so happy to see when derek was invited to race freedom 500 paired with david frieburger ( spelt wrong). I hoped more was coming, and it did
Two stand up dudes. You can see in most Cleetus videos that these two fellas have a great friendship. We need a video like this after a few wobble pops though!
Jimmy is great! Btw I just got back from O'Reilly's had to grab some ice cube juice and a fuel filter disconnect tool, It's the only auto parts store I go to.I have several choices living inthe Boston Ma area.

Glad someone else noticed that too. But it’s not too surprising. He’s a driver and has a ton of experience.

Fantastic job getting Jackstand on the show. I could listen to both you guys for hours and never loose interest.

Each episode that comes out is my new favorite. This is the best so far.
Super fun hearing James talking about his love of racing, building cars ,etc.

Man I wish these were like 4 hours long. Can't get enough of the interview style.
Great show, for those who like this Cooper Bogetti does one show a week on his youtube just like this format.
I feel like if these guys grew up in the same town, theyd be life long best friends.
Two of my favorite RUclips personalities
Without a doubt the best interview yet. I could listen to them talking all day long.
I could listen to James talk racing all day. You should get LS George on the show, that guy is hilarious.
I couldn't stop grinning through the whole interview, both James and Dererk have a very keen sense of humor. Lots of fun!
Finally more than 5 min of James. Thankyou

I have a 1997 GMC that needs some upgrades and horsepower. Jack stand jimmy ad Derrick sounds like a great candidate for the job!
James is my favorite person on Cleetus's team. George is a close second though.
Ahhhh Jackstand! I really do love the “ in the aisles “ interviews!!! This one was great!

What a great guy, and a great interview.
I can’t imagine Cleet without Jimmy anymore!
How did I just now find this series?!?!
What a great conversation. And that nova is killer.
Really enjoyed this show. Thank You Derek.

So much knowledge from both these men. Great role models for young kids to look up to. Working with your hands is a great way of life.
Ultra grey is definitely where its at!!!!!

I jumped on this one. Great “interview”!
I love this channel . Myself I will only do one project at a time until it’s complete.
James had to have been the easiest guy to talk to from all your interviews. The conversation kept flowing with no pauses.
Got to remember, of all the guests, Derek has spent the most time around James. So they know each other reasonably well.
Agreed. It didnt come off as too awkward. So happy Derek is in Cleeter and crews world. And now the Fab Rats and VGG!😃😃
Jimmy is great! Btw I just got back from O'Reilly's had to grab some ice cube juice and a fuel filter disconnect tool, It's the only auto parts store I go to.I have several choices living inthe Boston Ma area.
