Tonya’s husband Jeff Gilooly and maybe another guy and most likely Tonya conspired to physically “take Nancy out” of the competition by attacking her during a practice or preliminary session. We live in Arkansas. You can have all the cars you want....on blocks if you want. These folks should have a million subscribers. I hope they get filthy rich off this channel. And as one final note, the rural lifestyle is absolutely the best. Especially in this day and age. Hey there Derek and Jessica, just wanted to say I REALLY love watching your videos. I'm a hobby vehicle, small engine and outboard engine fixer guy. Right now I have over a dozen projects on the go: Outboards, riding & push mower, chainsaw, 4Kv gas Generator and a Grand Cherokee 4L engine rebuild and swap!!!! I love that you take vehicles that have been totally abandoned for many years, and bring them back to life again. I've fixed some very old small engines, 50 & 60's outboards and all kinds of other things, bringing them back to life and usable again. You guys make me laugh hard, make me want to go out and get myself an old junker and getter running again. Some people think I'm crazy, but I'm not going to stop fixing old things, keeps me young and the brain going!!! Keep up the great work, love watching your new videos and can't wait to see you bring more OLD vehicles back to life !!!!

I’m retired here in Minnesota. I’ve lived here all my life. I’ll be 72 years old in June. Every Winter for the last several years I’ve spent months in isolation within the walls of this house. It usually starts toward the end of November and ends around the second week in May. I’m not married however I have one son that lives 1/4 mile away. I get to see him often. My daughter lives in Coon Rapids. When I was younger I chose factory jobs to avoid working in the cold. However I would spend time off in the winter snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating and ice fishing. Now my disabilities don’t allow for those things. I’d love to go out to the garage and work on my old Chevy, but it’s such a small dark uninviting place to be in the Winter that I avoid it. My dream, before I pass on to the great junkyard in the sky would be to walk outside sometime during the month of February in a t-shirt and jeans and my new balance shoes and feel free from the heavy coat, gloves, felt lined boots, stocking cap, insulated bib overalls, wool socks and long Jon’s.
God bless the Bieris and May they live long and prosper in all they do!

Congrats on a well thought out decision. Centralization, weather, no state income tax, relatively cheap acreage, lower cost of living and an anticipated reduction in work hours sounds like a winning combination for the family life. Be careful on the last one- it takes a change in mindset to reduce the number of hours devoted to the work thing. If a guy doesn’t prioritize the family hours, there is always more work to just suck up the time! Derek, the last sentence was me using some of your words to explain what I did way too much of while my kids were growing up. We don’t get that time back to try again.

It appears that your move to Tennessee was most definitely for all of the right reasons. I lived in New Hampshire for the majority of my life and moved to Kentucky last Spring for many of the same reasons as yourselves. My wife was originally from Florida and spent the last 32 years with me in New Hampshire dealing with the cold and snow, lots and lots of snow. We miss our friends from New Hampshire but are rapidly making new friends here in Kentucky. There is so much history here, and natural beauty is everywhere, plus the cost of living is so much better than up North, but most importantly, there is so much less snow. Vice Grip Garage has been the best quality entertainment I can find on the RUclips Channel. Thank you for providing that level of wholesome, down to earth and inspiring programming. I get lots of nods here while I'm wearing my VGG hats, so it appears that you have quite a following here in Kentucky.
