- You never know what-or who-you’ll run into In the Aisles. In this episode, Derek from Vice Grip Garage talks to Dan from the RUclips channel DD Speed Shop, based in Manitoba, Canada. Dan covers his love for “Tri-Five” Chevies (even using one as a snow plow), the difficulty of getting parts in Manitoba, and a few answers to vehicle-restoration questions from viewers. You’ll even get to hear an account of his first-ever trip to an O’Reilly Auto Parts store: “There’s a lot of stuff crammed into one box.”

DD SPEED SHOP……DD SPEED SHOP……DD SPEED SHOP
Hey Dan, I sent Derek a message on his face space VVG page but he hasn't responded. I found something listed for sale in Connecticut on marketplace that I think you might like since you now have his white one or is it still being stored at Morts?
Great chemistry between you two! You guys guys need to do a show together. You guys are like “Click and Clack”, the tappet brothers!
I was just thinking the same thing, they were really in tune
I miss Car Talk.
This could be the next hit show.
Maybe with some parts and info.
Could be a great franchise history in the making. D and d speed shop. With
Dan and Derick .your hosts
Reverend!
The Canadian wants to be an American,, because of hotrods..
Moses Sandals! DD SHEEDSHOP? DD SPEEDSHOP!! Two of the 👌🏻Mintiest fellas in the verse! Can we stop and appreciate the majesticness of Dan's mane?
You can just picture him with a Strat, right? And we know Derek plays guitar...
@@chrissimes9445 Dan gives me a Jeff Healey vibe.
I hope he gets his hair gene from his mom, have you seen Murr?
@@kriswright1022 Yes, but Mur rocks the skirted egg look!
@@kriswright1022Supposedly it comes from your moms father.
Freakin Hot Rod Jesus and Hot Rod Sasquatch spotted together under one roof! Great episode!!!
Dan is just such a nice guy; can't even hate on the ole Pontiac Aztek "...you can go camping!"
When you have lemon you make lemonade, life is going to go on so hang on and make best use of it.
If you interview DD Speed Shop, you gotta do Zip Ties N Bias Plies! More of a auto "deconstruction" channel, than a build channel. Peg there is crazy funny. Mint! 👌👌
Dan and Derek in the same shop talkin Hot Rods...is this heaven?
If it's not heaven .It's as close as you can get!😊😊😊
"Ya gotta make time for the little guy".... I freaking cried I laughed so hard! Longtime fans of you both. Happy to see this!
😂😂😂😂
DD SPEED SHOP. Canadian. love it
Thank you Derek for having Dan on the show
DD Speed Shop
DD Speed Shop
DD Speed Shop!
Look!
Its Danni' s boyfriend!!!
Glad to see my favorite RUclipsrs from up in America's Hat get some well deserved recognition.
I think D&D getting done as much as they get done, laying in the dirt, making do with what they got, and pushing thru is their appeal.
I know they push me to get back out and wrench when i want to call it a day.
👍👍🇨🇦
👍👍👍agreed
I do believe we all were waiting for this type of episode of the collaboration
This is the episode I've been waiting for. Love Dan & Dani!!!
Likewise
I totally agree with you. They are so down to earth. They are on my buckskin to try to meet along with Derick, Finnegan, Newberg etc
My two favorite people on RUclips

My 2 favorite automotive Guys hands down!!!
My 2 favorite automotive RUclipsrs together doing an interview. This is GREAT. I love you guys
Those 1971, 1972 Monte Carlos have been my favorite big body GM cars since childhood.
This is the best one yet. Can't wait to see them build something.
I love how this show puts a spot light on some of the fellas you might not have heard of.
Always interesting to hear the different slang you guys use down south. It's crazy to see another Winnipegger on a bunch of popular car channels.
PS. It was great to see VGG helping out Brent at Halfass Kustoms.
Brent is the Blacksmith of hotrod building!! Has built some great rides!!
Derek, you have surprised me. You do really well as an interviewer. Well done, Sir!
I missed you guys at Power Tour 2023, but I was there! Dan stopped right in front of me when he arrived in Atlanta, but quickly got mobbed and it was just too much for me to guide my blind wife through to say hello. Perhaps next year...
Dan ...this is really cool seeing you doing this ...your made for it
PLEASE get Peg from Zip Ties next! That would be a great interview!
Derek chatting with a rubber horse mask.
@@cheesynuts4291 lol! That would be awesome!
This took me back to when I was a teen at my uncles shop listening to him and another shop owner shoot the breeze.
This is mt 2nd favorite episode behind the one with Jared Pink. I swear that Dan must be Derek's long lost Canadian brother. lol
They both have the same humor. 🤣
DD SPEED SHOP???? DD SPEED SHOP!!!!!
Best episode yet, looking forward to the VGG and DD collaboration on a Chevelle! Epic!
These are my two favorite channels on the Tubes! They’re like the chocolate n peanut butter of the innerwebs, love these guys
I love the shootout to Merlin's OSG and the light reference to Peg without actually mentioning him.
Merlon is an amazingly talented mechanic. He can fix anything. Especially if it has a diesel in it.
Two of my absolute favorite channels! AWESOME!!! If Mortske walked through the shop, it would have been the Holy Trifecta! lol Great show!
Great show, kept my short attention span tuned all the way through!
Two of my favorite RUclips channel guys together. Great show. The quick wittiness between you guys is amazing to watch.
Two of my all time favorite you tubers.DD speedshop and Vice grip garage .Derek and Dan keep the fellows and fellettes entertained for sure ! You guys give hope to the rest of us chasing our car dreams
Okay, I I just have to say that this is the absolute best episode of In the Aisles as of yet! Love both of you guys and nothing seems forced, you guys are naturals! 🙂👍
We need a revive and drive collab with these two! Something extra roached that needs floor pans.
Holy smokes that was fun and always nice to see a Canadian boy doin good. Well done guys!
2 of my favorite guys to watch having a conversation, this is great guys
Those two guys could really collaborate very well together
Having used the trunk of my car as a welding table on many occasions, this made me laugh. Thanks O'Reilly , these are great.
Love to see both of you wrenching on a project together! Bet there would be a lot of laughs!
I don't know if y'all know this, but wookiees and Samsquanches have similar DNA...throw in some Scots-Irish Norsk blood and you've got a party...Power Tour this year came real close to my stomping ground...I live in Silver Valley NC...between Z-max and Rockingham...I'm a disabled gearhead, so I didn't make it out this year...hopefully I can get out on tour at some point...until then, I will watch Derek, Dan, Newbern, Frieburger, Sleeperdude fam, Pole barn, Junkyard Digs, Thunderhead, Finnegan, John Doc...the list goes on and on...I just want to shout-out all of youse fellers and fellettes for keeping me in the hobby...depression is real and y'all help me deal with it...from my cold black heart, I thank you all...peace...
This was awesome. Dan is legend. He is quick with his responses, funny and you can tell deep down he's a pretty smart guy. LOL
DD Speed shop is awesome! I enjoy Dans content and his originality! Thanks Derek for all you do and may you both have a fabulous future! 👍👍 🚘
Good times. Glad to see DD get some love.
Never been a fan of the tri 5s, until I started watching DD speed shop. Damn you Dan !
Finally got Dan out of his Canadian Gradge, it's time for an interview,
Hahaha thats exactly how we say garage
So cool to watch two of my gear head hero’s chewing the fat. Coolness overload. Hello from Newfoundland Canada!!!!
This was great! The two of you need to collaborate more, I know there's a distance issue but you work well together. It felt like I was just sitting in on a good conversation. Nice job guys!
GREAT to se D&D In The Isles! A feller talkin' to a Canadian feller, what a video!
Two of my three favorite You tubers for different reasons. Derek, Dan and Brent. Genuine car guys.
Hey Derek. Thanks for including a Canadian. Appreciate what Dan had to say from Winterpeg.
Just watched this episode. Best one yet. Danny was great.
What a great episode! The dynamics between Derek and Dan is soo good!
Favorite two car guys on the internet. Hell ya!
I know this is a really old episode, but I can't get enough of it This is one of my favorites... The camaraderie between the two of you is uncanny... Thank you for the content... Al from New Hampshire.
I saw his 57 4door converted to 2 door vidio unbelievable vid
Derek is everywhere now and I fucking love it. Been a fan of his since he was a small youtuber. Proud of his success
You got Dan? Now it's time to get the DD Speedshop X3 originator, Peg. Vice Grip vs. Zip Ties & Bias Plies
Pegs too incorrect politically for him to go on this show. Derek can’t risk losing this minty sponsorship unfortunately
@@tclott316 Maybe if they did a Patreon version with ol Peg in a horse mask...I mean his face.
@@shylomckinsey5873 I’d totally be down for a greased version on the ole patreon
In the aisles with zip ties, would break the freaking internet
With content produced by guys like these two gentlemen, the automotive magazines would not be suffering. Good job both of you.
Dan is wearing his dress up clothes !! - love DD Speed Shop - cool episode- thanks
Nice to see my neighbor down south visiting ole Derek. Take me with ya next time Dan.
Nice to see some Canadian content!
Best interview with car guys I have seen ,good stuff Derek and Dan !!!!!!
We'll look back in 20 year's. And say these guys are icons...
THANK YOU for doing this interview!
Sorry I'm late. Clutch went out again.
Hey, it's four of my favorite youtubers! Great to see y'all together.
What a great collaboration of 2 of my favorite content creator's
Great episode with two really entertaining guys . I loved every minute , this made my day, Thanks from Canada
You to guys together on the same video. My two favorite youtubers. IS AWESOME!!!😊😊😊
Two of my favourite RUclipsrs, mine it’ll be awesome to sit with you guys and chat. Yes, I am from Canada as well. Kind of a neighbouring province.
Awesome to see Danny on here! Super cool guy! Does this mean U.T. might be on the show one day?
I’m north of Detroit, Dan is welcome to store a car or three here!
Great conversation guys.
Elderly Iron does a great rebuild and step by step on a Quadrajet that’s in a 66 Biscayne 396.
Dan, I live in Colorado and will HAPPILY store a car out here for you!
I'm in southwest Ontario. Same here!
Pair of Legends right there!
Might be a canadian thing but my dad always told me the best way to set timing on a SBC was have someone put it in gear and hold the gas and brakes where its loaded up just about to do a burnout and then turn the distributor until you hear the motor ping then back it off a hair and lock it down. Shouldnt ever have to use a timing light. Was kinda cool hearing dan say almost the same procedure
The beginning scene of Tokyo drift is my absolute favorite out of all of the movies.
I want to see PEG on your show with the horse head and the greased edition!! Make it happen!!!!
No gaurd on my zip cutter! hahah u guys r awesome 🤣🤣
Derek you are a natural. Great interview!!!
Cool two faves at once! Derek you gotta hammer Dan to ditch that snow and ice like you did. Uncle Tony can work on him too! Look how much cheaper and easier life could be for him and Dani.
I truly enjoyed the interview with Dan. Derek has become quite the journalist displaying great interview skills.
Great show Derick. My 2 favorite RUclips personalities.
Great entertaining chat with your Canadian motor head .
Great job Chief 👍
I’m so glad I found Derek’s channel years ago. If he’s filming, I’m watching. I’ve never watched DD Speedshop, but I am subscribed now.I really like the guy. I can listen to these guys talk all day.
These 2 guys are great together.
