I don't know if you've realised yet, but you are a darn good driver. You deserve to be there with all those other fellers and felletes.
Thanks thats kind
agreed. you cannot hide skill (or bewbz) from me
I don't think anyone deserves it more lol
@@ViceGripGarage Congrats on the win!!!!
Dude in the rivals contest. The colored tires, floored. The entire time. Whole pad. Yeah man!! He can drive! I was truly impressed that time. Ole truck was hummin
I was the fedex driver i am honored to have been able to help im just glad yall made it to bristol safe it was a pleasure to meet you and bently
That’s pretty awesome lmao
I appreciate you bringing good, clean content to RUclips. No cussing and flying tool nonsense. God Bless you and your family and thanks for working so hard.
I appreciate that
@@ViceGripGarage I appreciate the family friendly approach as well too.
It’s so great when you can watch these and not worry about cussing
@@ViceGripGarage bro I love showing people your channel it’s crazy I been a subscriber since the days in Minnesota much love to you and your crew!
I’d still like to see how far he could throw a 1’ wrench😂
Can we also have a massive round of applause for Chad and Hayley and everyone else who helps Derek do what Derek does best.
Chad? Or the other Chad, not the other Chad?
Because of this channel I gained the confidence to rebuild the old 351 out of my 96 f250. Got it done in 3 days on my own and didn’t have any bolts left over when I was done! Runs like a champ too. Thanks for the awesome content! Keep up the great work!
Same. I used the fire-juice-fire-juice-fire-juice method to get a stuck bolt out this week.
I built a 307 for my El Camino because of the 307 build Derek did on VGG. I have almost 3,000 trouble-free miles on it. I never rebuilt an engine before. I even rebuilt the front end after watching the Independence Chevelle series. What an inspiration this channel is!
Awesome!!!
Watching you go from a regular feller to where you are now is so awesome. You bring a lot of motivation and encouragement to all of us. Much appreciated Derek. God bless and Semper Fi
Dude i love you. Recently had a pops pass on. Didnt know what i needed till i heard your voice. I appreciate your hard work
You got this!
In-car footage as you enter the burnout pit = BRAND new VGG intro footage material...nice work Derek!
Derek, you ARE the definition of an american man. There is nobody in the world that deserves the success in life than you. You are an amazing family man, you are hilarious beyond belief, and youre a craftsman to say the least. It's an absolute honor to watch you brother. Keep up the awesome work and never change who you are. VGG Nation for Life.
totally agree! One of only a few youtube channels I watch and by far my favorite
Second this all day! You sir are living a lot of fellers dream! Thank you for all the behind the scenes hard work you do that we never see to make this happen! Thank your family for putting up with it, and I hope you really are enjoying it as much as we think. Also when it's time to take a break , we aren't going anywhere, you built a tribe.
Your son is well on his way to take over the way he reacts to what you need done .let’s like he. He see the problem and has a solution just like his dad . You should be proud.
Whaaaaaaaat? An hour long vidgea on a Thursday? I can't believe it, but I got to, I'm watching it. Love love love your channel and all that you do.
Let’s go!!!! It was such an awesome weekend and an honor to meet a guy!! Congrats on the burnout wins!!!
Nice to meet you as well!
Looks like you had a great time, I really enjoy the colored smoke. So cool, keep it up!
“I think I might have a flat tire, I also didn’t update my Will” This line made me laugh so hard I woke my wife up. I was just thinking about how dangerous this race is. I’ve been towed by chains before and never have I ever wanted to go over 10 mph. Thank you for everything Derek.
Damn.... very impressive when that thing fired up
Hello Derek
Me too😂😂
after watching several hours of your videos, I almost went and bought a $500 non runner truck because I thought maybe i could fix it. Then woke up and realized im not VGG. Cant survive like him in a field.
Derek out here living all our Talladega Nights dreams: going fast, autographing babies, and not knowing what to do with his hands on camera. 😄
Thanks for all the great stuff and hard work you do!
Hahahaha i laughed at that part too when he was autographing babies😂😂😂
Great stuff Derek, I'm a fan of yours from sunny South Africa, keep up the good stuff 🎉🎉
Way to SEND IT! Thank you for all you do, explain, and setting a great example of what a good guy really is. And you’ve given this guy the inspiration to tackle my own projects (with my kids).
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! YOU TRULY EARNED IT.
GREAT JOB, WITH THE KILLER, BURNOUT TRRUCK!!!!
Anyone who says the American dream is dead needs to take a hard look at this guy. Over the years he has put in hard work to hone his craft and improve his skills. Plenty of sacrifice away from home, family and the comforts of familiarity. Watching you step into new projects, make attempts, fail, improve, and thrive has been a wonderful experience.
As an Aussie watching this on my lunch break, I love that burnout comps are becoming more of a thing up there. Definitely wish you could make an appearance at Summernats one year!
I enjoy every single video you post, and its so awesome the way your family and friends are all along for the ride. My son is only four years old but you inspire me to be the kind of father you are, teach him well and include him in every adventure I can.
Australia is where it’s at! Too bad I’m from the US
🙏
Man reading this right here really brightened up my day , that's what's it's all about.
Just might have a fella intrigued enough if hes got sponsored thatll help cover the cold snacks, tacos and a good time to terrorize over there.🤷♂️ Haha right on🤣👍
Summernats burnouts, Bogan central.
Very nice burnout run (yep yep) now i can call you my neighbor in Ten.......
Congratulations on winning your first burnout contest🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Lol you had to cheat it was only posted 22 min ago and it’s a 57 min video don’t ruin the ending for everybody 😂

That guy jumping the crown vic was crazy, those flips can't be good for any of the bones in his body, and his kneck and back had to have taken a beating. Derek, you can drive the daylights out of anything you drive, really fun watching. G-d bless you and the family, and everyone watching.
Love all you do Derek, making the world a more interesting place!!
From ove the pond in Wales, you're the best channel on RUclips. FACT! Love everything about this channel. ❤️ 🏴🇺🇸
Ive never had anyone to teach me anything about cars nor really had any interest in cars until i started watching your revivals my man. In my 26 years of life im actually interested now into rebuilding and getting into mechanic work because of you brother. Keep it up!
Hi Derek nice video 📹 and workmanship!!! Those were cool skits !!! Love the new trailer and truck 🚚!!! And the Crowns 👑
Heck yeah, Derek! Grats' on the W! And, not gonna lie... that's a sweet new tow rig you have there.
38:00 add LEDs to the roll cage so we can see you thru the smoke 😄
Derek always so humble .it's always family friend's and everyone else first. A real oldskool hero.
Derek! Another fun hour of my time! As always enjoying watching you're Channel! God bless. 😊👍👍
Mannn this was my first time attending a Cleetus and Cars event and wow… you guys definitely did not disappoint and the fact I got to meet you and Cleetus just tops it all for me. Keep up the great work and awesome content, love that new, newish, older but gooder? Dually ya got there, sweet tow rig!
Awesome !👍👍👍👍😎 Congratulations on your win 🎊🎊🎊 !! I just love that Tow Rig !!!
This is one of if not the only channels I can watch hour long videos. Wished I could do what you do, so fun man. Keep it up!
Wow, thanks!
Oh man! 496! I tried one out last year when a customer traded in to us a Avalanche 2500. Man what a wonderful beast! I woulda kept her. But she snuck down here from Ohia. And she was smothered in rust. But the guy that bought her from me Repurposed that motor for his build up in Knoxville. I think yours is incredible! How cool! Thanks again VGG
I was there for both days. I spoke with Jessica a few times and did get to speak with you too once. I saw the boys around the track also. I did get some new merch while there also. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, even if it did get kinda toasty in the stands.
A weekend of burnt rubber and mayhem, what's a feller not to like about that?!?
So cool!
Are you a stalker ?
@@OneOut1 not a stalker. Just happened to be at the right place at the right time. And the reason I got the merchandise was I needed a wide brimmed hat to try to hide from the sun. Also picked up a ball cap and T-shirt. The boys walked right by where I was sitting in the stands the few times I saw them.
@@OneOut1 come on now, most people watching his channel would LOVE to be at an event and meet this awesome family! We get to see Derek on camera 99% of the time but we all know Jess and them boys are the backbone to this out fit! LOL
Holy chili Fritos that dually is nice! I've watched every Charlotte video some more then once. What a burn out competition. The header tape did good.
I love all of your content whether it's revivals, in the aisles or competitions. I don't have the guts or know anything about racing or burnout competitions, but I love watching you have a blast with it. This is not just another internet racing video, you also fill it with humor, good sportsmanship and family memories. You're a hero, not only because you're a good mechanic and driver, but also a good feller!
Best. Automotive. Channel.
Don't know how you do it Derek but we love you for it! Thanks for all you do.
Congrats VGG crew! Your burnout was awesome for sure. I love what you're doing, and although I know you hear about revivals all the time please let me assure you that if that's all you did, those folks would be gone in no time. What people ACTUALLY want is variety, and that way their favorite thing stays their favorite. Keep it up, Bieris!
1:15 am-Go Derek!Enjoyed every minute.Hope to learn when you're on so i can follow better.
WTG Derek. Much deserved win in the burnout box. Your having sooo much fun in all the events. Races, car shows, in the barn at home and it's awesome that you and your whole family share it with us. Thank you Jessica and little humans for all the hard work you do. Looking forward to the next adventure and all the laughs. Lol, sitting here I just had a laugh remembering the Christmas Party bus video. Oh that was just too much (wipes away a tear of laughter). Thanks again ya'll.
What a great event. You built your engine in a barn and you’re pitting next to one of the best drag and drive engine builders in the country. Priceless
Hey Derek, the " I have a flat....and I need to update my will" comment had me in stitches. We are blessed you let us come along with you for all these adventures. You have inspired many of us to get busy on our projects. I have an old Mustang that I bought in 1985. Drove it around for a lot of years but it has been mainly parked with minor issues for the better part of 10 years. After watching you at work, I got to work and have driven it more this summer than the previous 10 combined. Was holding out for the "perfect" build but am realizing your philosophy is better. I am embracing it's many flaws, getting out and enjoying it thanks to you!
I love Charlotte. She's simple where she can be, complicated where she needs to be and is fit for purpose while also having a ton of personality.
What a great way to end a long work week, a new episode 🍻 VGG NATION! Thank you Bieri family!
Had to watch it twice, once last night, once today.
Keep it up buddy. We love it
Amazing win on the burnout, the red white and blue tire smoke was amazing!
Would have been nice to see the burnouts. All I saw was colored smoke.
Thank you
Driving those back roads up dar in Nort Dakota learned ya how handle da wheel.
Glad to see a fellow North Dakotan doing well at his passion.
Dude,, I am a big Cleeter fan but the only reason I rent the PPV up here in Canada is to watch you and Matt from Demo Ranch !! I was ecstatic to see you take a Trophy !!! Been watchin you in these contests from your first year !! One good Crown Vic and you will win that one too for sure !!!
Cleet needs to let the drivers work on them before the races!! Fix the little things like water pumps and other maintenance stuff.
Exactly.. I commented on Cleetus channel he needs a radiator sponsor for the next race,,lol
Finally someone is using ratchet scanners Derek I personally have used them since I bought my first 3/8 GearWrench ratchet spinner in 2003 for my garage door business I had at the time. I now have 2sets up to 19 mm love em . They don’t replace sockets entirely but close
Derek congratulations on the win in the burnout competition I wished you Luck last video to bring home the trophy but after watching you shred those colorful tires it was 90% skill and 10% luck great job. Square body dually excellent
Go hard or go home attitude is priceless ❤it. G'day from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Congratulations on the well deserved win, you absolutely smoked the tires! Hard to believe a few years ago I was watching you rebuild junkyard cars. having a few hundred thousand subscribers, and now I can say your name at work (About a hundred employees) and most will have heard of you. Completely well deserved I must add, always so entertaining and simply inspiring. Again congrats on the win, and thanks for making my day even better week after week. Take care and God bless!
Same here, since the budget small block build in his garage back in Minnesota, I think 2018, I told everyone I work with about this guy. Since then we have hired a couple new guys mechanic's and they came in speaking a VGG dialect and I just knew these guys would work out perfectly 😆
lol well can't say I'm surprised!@@jelenekoutdoors9023
Wow... congratulations on the win. Always fun to watch. Missed seeing Jessica..I know she was workin' hard. Good to see the youngin'
Way to go Derek! You deserve it with all your hard work and taking us along for the ride. I hope you can get into a decent Vic one of these years
Watching your videos makes me feel good, which is a pretty big deal for me.
Thank you Derek and all your friends, family and team!
Actually in tears now, after watching since day one and just no one deserves blessings and fun and a great life more than you guys 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
you are a true champion Derek and a great father keeping it real with your boys so cool to see them helping you when you are fixing up those classic forgotten vehicles that deserve your help getting them fixed up and back on the road
As an Aussie, seasoning burnout tyres works well. Leave em out in the sun. Soak em in brake fluid. And leave in the sun again. Wicked burnout Derek!
*🎉Congratulations on your Burn Out W🎉*
PPV coverage is getting so good. Well worth the little money.
My heart dropped when you fell back. I thought you had a real chance of winning this one.
We can tell Derek , your giggling through the intro about the upcoming racing event . As a longtime subscriber it’s the giggles I get through your adventures that I can live through these gather ins , popping the hood and holding the light for you like I did for my pops those many , many years ago . This is church to provide a small safe brethren
Derek, I admire you. You're a mechanic with skills and you know how to drive. These things are obvious. But what impresses me most is your values set, those things that you prioritize in this life.
Always be yourself Derek. You got a great family that I know you are proud of and that they're proud of you.
Congratulations on your trophy, winning the championship. In my heart and mind you'll always be America's Number One Burnout!
All my best always, Eric.
This feller did an 8.1L swap in my '68 C10 short step. Good motor! Good choice for your gooseneck towing rig!
Awesome video and thanks for taking all of us along for the ride. Congratulations on your win, you definitely deserved it. That was an awesome run.
Not sure what just happened @ 48:00, but that was Stepps, from the Tampa area dragging VGG. If I was near the Tampa area and I needed towing, they would be my first call. I first ran into them in the late 80s, early 90s, and they are good. I have stories. That said, Derek said, twice, that he had no power steering, no power brakes and wasn't allowed to touch the gas pedal, so I don't get why the engine was even running, much less how it failing knocked them out! I don't undeERSTAND! ;-]. Seriously, in that area call Stepps for anything up to yanking a semi out of the woods. Those are some good folks.
You absolutely killed that show! I didn’t get the chance to see it live and finally got to see your run, I have to say, you are an incredible driver, I’ve been watching for years and you’re such an inspiration, especially to my current project, thank you so so much for the family friendly, helpful and entertaining content, you are such a blessing to so many!!
Wow Dereck, I watched your second burnout run with headphones, that thing is rowdy!
Keep up the lead footing action!!
Great job Derek, Jessica and Crew.... Thanks for bringing us along with your adventures!
That weekend looks like a absolute blast ....the Red White and Blue tire smoke was great!...the Chain race is crazy lol....
Omg I love the pulling rig. I absolutely love this channel. I love how u teach everyone so much and ur so dang funny while doing it. Thank u Mr Derek and ur family for entertaining everyone the way y’all do
Thanks!
Beautiful dually. The sound is perfect. Man I hope that this truck will do everything you need it to do. God bless you and your family
To be honest, that truck is too nice for this channel.
I did notice the couple sprits of black spray paint to get the patina look.
Hope to see it often, and get that trailer figured out so it's easy to load Charolette.
Man! What a show! Heartfelt thanks Derek, A game all the way! Thanks for what you do, wish I could, can't, so your my guy.
What a blessed day when Derek is involved! Keep doing what ya do brother ❤️✊🏼
For the oil change on Charlotte, she seems like a GREAT candidate for the drain plug fitting that you click an adapter right into and it drains. We used those in all our tight clearance pans (usually exhaust pipes in the way) and they're a LIFE saver! Just push to click and drain with a hose.. wonderful!
Congratulations Derek on your burnout win!! 🎉🎊🍾 Really enjoy your videos and thanks for sharing them with us.
oh they do have a quick change rear-end you might want as well so you can do short run 1/8 mile, track runs ovals, cross country runs , comes with a variety of gears to choose from.
We Aussies may have started it but you guys a doing a pretty good job at it. Very proud to see you win the burnout comp. Can't wait to see you one day here at Summernats
Hey Derek, I manage a machine shop just outside the Atlanta area if you ever need motor work. We are the Carquest of winder, we also mix paint!!
As critical as that ribbon cable is I would have run it through a tube to protect it...small extra effort for a very important piece! What a fantastic experience and adventure at Bristol - congratulations Derek!
I was thinking the same. That ribbon cable needs some blue conduit and a proper bulkhead at the “firewall”, if you can call it that. A feller might also box the electronicals with plexiglass with some computer fans (with red, white, and blue LEDs of course) pulling air through a filter for them.
You are a good man that does great builds. That truck is gorgeous. Thanks for staying you all these years.
Not a fan of burn outs but congrats to you. Love your channel. Keep up the builds!!
Can I just say, I love how the car community helps each other out, even if they are competing against each other.
Love the new burnout truck. Would love to see a new body on it so it looks like a truck it would look really cool as a square body chevy
Idk Derek… I’ve watched a lot of different videos from the burnout competition as well as the ppv, and hands down that run with the colored tires was the best run of the night by far. Wheel speed, smoke, used the whole pad!
She might not be pretty yet but one day I see Charlotte with at least all her panels lol.. that burnout was worthy of a 🏆 and well deserved I might add.. I know we only see an hour or 2 a week but I know it's an 80 hour work week for this fella to bring us amazing content like this.. appreciate all you do for our entertainment ❤
After watching the whole race you sir can drive like a mofo🤙👍🤜
Thank you very much!
@@ViceGripGarage Tell Derek he did great again, especially with all the "PRO" drivers in the race!!

I came hoping to ask about the boosted 400. What happened? I'm guessing it wasn't enough.
I have a similar truck and it will need a rebuild in the next year or so. I considered the 8.1L, but people I know said their MPG is miserable. It'll haul anything, but you're paying for it. My main 2 routes are to turbo a small block or quit all the bojangles and install my spare Cummins. I'm going for reliability, torque, and MPG. I just feel so guilty about extracting the small block.
Hey Derek I really appreciate what you do. My grandpa passed away a couple months ago and he was my hero. He was the person who got me into cars. I was telling my wife how I love your stuff so much because you remind me of him so much. Please keep it up and I hope you continue doing what you are with all those digicals and sparkalators and fuel make it happeners. Love you man you are a huge inspiration to car guys and gals everywhere!
Hi Derek, I wouldn’t have dreamed of reaching out, but the co-incidence of you releasing a video about a trip to Bristol is too much.
Watched EVERY video of yours, such an inspiration.
I’ve just bought an old motorcycle from Bristol in England, and made a one off video about collecting it and bringing it back home to Glasgow 400 miles away.
Totally inspired by your work, and referenced/acknowledge you, but it isn’t anywhere near as sketchy as your adventures.
The most I could hope, is that it makes you chuckle.
Have a great day.
So very fun! Thanks for sharing all of the experiences. One of my very favorite channels.
I had the opportunity to meet you over the weekend at ls fest. Same fella we see every week right here. Thanks for being you and doing what you do.
Congratulations on the win, feller. As long as you’re enjoying yourself that’s all that matters.
Tape on batteries could cut both ways. Maybe apply to sheet aluminum install and keep a 1/2" air gap? A pair of guides [not even full length] front & rear, and two bolts to hold it in place. As a bonus, some mechanical protection from occasional debris might save on the case. A broken battery is no bueno.
Larger studs on a stock wheel... Last I went from 7/16 to 1/2", I picked up a 0.501" straight reamer. Initial/rough resizing was done with a tapered reamer so the straight could just [just] start, then finish out with the 501.
Last [not least], I really like how the tow rig turned out. Think I need a pair of those seats!
Purolator Boss, Wix, Napa Gold all scored relatively decent in testing with flow vs particulate filtering
So so damn proud of you, you’re getting funnier, better, and more accomplished by the moment, not to mention a great dad and feller.
Congrats on the win! Great run.
Great trophy, eagle an all, for a Great win 👍👍! That thar tow rig’s a pretty nice lookin outfit! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
I like the way you left the face shield up so the smoke could blow into your eyes on the burnout !
Congratulations on your great burnout runs! No power barn fires, no burnt hoof, all in all a good day!
I just love to see and hear Charlotte run.
Some day, I hope, I'll be able to come over and visit such an event. Greetings from France.
