No problem, glad you liked it. I didn’t originally share these to the world as the lovely people I linked in the description did, I merely just enhanced what they posted.
I’ve always been curious about when Sinatra really went from the teen idol to image that is most commonly associated with him now. Would you say around the time, “From Here To Eternity” released in 1954?
Roughly more or less yes after his "From Here to Eternity" (1953) role. That presented him in a new and different way to the public eye, when he changed and accentuated his different dressing style. That in turn became a signature staple for his look starting which everyone recognizes him by now that same year in 1954 too.
It’s such a stark difference which is probably what allowed for his comeback to happen. I can’t think of another singer who had to reinvent themself quite so drastically.
@@TheSinatraCollection: And he came back with a vengeance! He became an established Oscar-winning movie star, his music was back on the charts. He toured the country doing live stage shows. He had a successful television show, he hosted the Oscars ceremony. He was most likely the first celebrity who owned a jet plane AND a helicopter. I watched a documentary, yesterday, about Mr. Sinatra and his properties in Palm Springs. The man had direct access to celebrities, athletes, businessmen, politicians and even the President of the United States! In 2018 my wife and I went to Las Vegas for the first time. We wanted to get ticket for the show which showcased the performers who play “The Rat Pack”. The tickets were sold out because people still wanted to experience Las Vegas via Mr. Sinatra and the Rat Pack. The saying, “This is Frank’s world, we’re just living in it” really did apply to Mr. Frank Sinatra. I hope, one day, to make a pilgrimage to Mr. Sinatra’s final resting place, to pay my respects. God bless Mr. Francis Albert Sinatra and may he continue to Rest in Peace. 🇺🇸 🇮🇹
It's always interestig hearing how Frank and Dean would treat Sammy mid-act. Of course, it's all dirty humor. If you wanna hear Frank being legitimately cut-throat, all you had to do was mention Dorothy Kilgallen.
Their humor to many when they were together was very lowbrow; rather brash jabs at each other poking at the premise of mocking stereotypes and how many groups were viewed due to racial and cultural differences. I personally enjoy it since all it was is just a great mockery of those things. You also mentioned how he spoke about Dorothy Kilgallen and I believe it was a personal drama they had when she was still publicizing for a newsletter and said something critical and I believe somewhat rude directed towards him. He resented her ever since then.
Never again will we have this talent, coolness, and fun. AND with a nightly live orchestra too. I need a Time Machine!
Thank you for sharing this to the world!!!

These look good. I remember watching the Summit appearances on old VHS tapes that my father-in-law had. His were about the same quality.
