- Hi my name is Lucas and this is the series of videos following the build progress of my old 90s 3000gt VR4. My goal is to take my car from stock to something unique. Im not a professional and I learn as I go.

Personally I like the stock radio the one with the aux port. I think next you should take care of those door weatherstrips and the one strip above the rear glass. Makes the car look a million times better. I just got all new 1s for mine and the difference it makes is incredible.
Sadly mine didnt come with the oem radio. but as for the weather strip I pop it off and sanded it down. I plan to paint it soon.
@@illusiveinu the door ones or the one above the glass? Ive seen people repaint the ones above the glass and it comes out looking great.
@@ianriley9760 I sanded the one above the rear glass. I have seen some reproductions of the ones on the doors popping up for sale. I may snag some.
@@illusiveinu Ah yeah the chinese knock off ones. I bought 1 for my drivers side door. Looks good but the rubber tends to get caught on the glass when going down. Other than that its fine.
Get an Atoto double din android head unit. I run the A6 pro on mine and its great.

In U.K manual none turbo cars are originally twin turbo with turbo's removed same as the 90s mr2's.
Interesting I've never seen a vr4 with all cloth seats before!
I was curious why it came with cloth seats also. I guess the original owner ordered it with them.
In U.K. they come in cloth interior.

howdy...i just picked up an 98 bright red gt3000, with the flip up head lights. I payed 500 bucks for it. would you suggest a wide body kit for something like this and how much would it cost for the kit? mine doesn't have the turbos tho...would it be possible to add those later? also, do you end up filling those lines in with body filler? I was exploring possibilities for my new car and came across lambo door kit you can install yourself for fairly cheap. something you may want to do later. bad ass huh? thanks, Scott
Back seats are there for insurance reasons. Cheaper that way.
I'm probably going to remove them by time I'm finished with the interior.

i love the 1g look why did you put a 3g garnish on it?
I really like how the lines in the 3rd gen garnish looks with the similar lines in the 1st gen rear bumper.
What up with that other 3kgt gen 2 or gen 3 parked nxt 2 the "Bust My Wallet" ? Man keep the OEM wheels they R rare. ALSO actually a lot of content on these but their all overseas. lol
Other one is a base 99. I plan to hang onto the stock rims. I plan to put them onto the base eventually.
@@illusiveinu By Base U mean actual base model? as in a single overhead cam engine? that 1 major misperception is that the SL is base model which it is not it mid level the base model was only available for the stealth in the gen 1 n 2 n not till gen 3 that they had actual official Mitsu Base 3kgt. Never owned one by heard they great on gas n realible asf. Used 2 own 3 SL n sold em too cheap 2 young cats now can not even find any at all. Even the Japan SL which are AWD(non Turbo) prices went up n can not find em. Oh well at least kept my eclipses. Cheers!
@@265308 Yep its a SOHC 99 base. it currently has 297K miles on it and still kicking along. It makes for a good cheap cruiser for hopping around town. What year Eclipse. Ive had 2 first Gens and second Gen.
@@illusiveinu Yeah man pisses off when peo say the SL is the base model it is not the only base model offered in gen 1 n 2 were in the Dodge Stealth option until gen 3(when Chrysler was no longer with em) N yeah they suppose to be gr8 on gas or so they say. I own all Eclipses except the V6s in all gens. 1990 GS-T, 1992 GSX, 1997 GS-T Spyder, 3G GS(my daily), 4G SE, n of course my 1990 RHD GTO.
