- All of the parts need to finish installing my Retrospec Widebody kit came and now the kit is completely on. I am extremely happy with the outcome.

Haha it's like a mini meet everyday walking outside. We currently have 5 of them.

Man ive been looking for a good wide bodykit for a long time. Thanks to this video i finally found one. Only complaint i have is the hardware you used to mount the kit. Not a fan of the bulkyness of the hardware. Is that the final look for the hardware?
I was feeling the same way. I am looking into some lower profile hardware to use for a smoother look.

How long ago did you order it. I have ordered twice from them and it can usually take some time but they have always followed through and the products have been great quality.
My parts from TwinZ and Stoptech have taken over a year to come in

@@illusiveinu I love the way the wide body looks. Just not sure if I want to do it to mine or keep it mostly stock. But I’ve got to get the engine rebuilt before I worry with that anyway.
Hopefully you didnt spin a bearing or jump timing. Before I upgrade the Turbos and Cams im doing the 60k service on the timing belt and water pump.
@@illusiveinu luckily no it didn’t do either of those. It had a little over 200k on it when I got it. Low compression on a few cylinders with crankcase blow by. So at a minimum I’m going to rear it down and replace all the rings and bearings. But need the block checked, decked, and honed. And go through the head as well. Since I have to tear it down might as well put it back together with good parts so it will probably take a little while to get everything. Just need to find a machine shop somewhat close that knows what they are doing with these types of engines. I know you aren’t too far from me if you have any recommendations.
ground zero performance is in Easton PA and 3SX is in Concord NC. I'm sure you may find some non 3000gt based mechanics in the area that know the engine good. Driver Motorsports isn't far from me. I'm not sure if they have ever worked on a 6G72 engine before but they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to power mods.

Yes the kit I have will fit a 94-99 3000gt. If you get a stealth or a 91-93 3000gt it will need slightly different bumper panels. I can link you a few different sellers of widebody kits for the 3000gt
how trustworthy do you think is the retrospec company is? I was thinking of getting the same kit for my gen 1.
Honestly I have never had a problem with getting my parts from them. The biggest advice I can give is the parts usually take time to arrive. On average my parts took around 3-4 months to get delivered.
My order from twinZ took 9 months, and my order from StopTech took 14 months. So by far not the longest to arrive.

About 90% of the Stealth kit fits the 3000gt body so I only had to order a few pieces to make it fit such as the front bumper lower pieces and the side skirt pieces so it's only 4 small pieces left over that only fit the Stealth.

Hi, do you have to cut the sheet metal in the wheel arches to mount this body?
Yes and No. You can mount the kit without having to cut the fenders BUT you will have to run the ride height higher to not rub the tires. I need to get mine cut so I'm running about 35mm higher in the rear
Wait you can swap the newer models headlights with pop ups? Because i want to do that.
Yep it's fairly easy to swap from a 2nd-3rd gen projector back to a pop up. I'm actually working on the how to video right now.

What are your wheel specs and what size spacers did u use to achieve this fitment for the widebody?
18x10.5 +15 with 3mm front and 38mm rear
How’s the turning radius also how much did you wind up having to cut off of the body

Spacers?
The Spacers can be found online or most custom shops can get them for you. Need to know what MM gap you need, the Lug pattern and thread pitch, and what hub centric space you need. If you only need to add like 3-7mm spacer rings you may need to install longer studs to allow the lugs to have enough grip.
