@@kudosforkai888 for the Nhs the school controls it and sends you an email if you have a certain gpa, but for the nshs supposedly the send it to you if you have like a 3.0 gpa or smth. I have a 4.0 gpa so I believed it. But to answer your question no I didn’t apply for it nor do I plan on involving my self with that
Yeah I just received one today, my older sister was already suspicious and so was I. My unweighted average is a 3.1, so technically I can’t necessarily qualify. Also $90? Idk man seems a lil sketchy, this vid def helped so ty
Not a scam. The partners and access to scholarships made the entry worth it, but apparently based off of these comments it is $90 now? That's steep for sure.
I got a letter and saw it and it was the excat same as yours. except for the school ofc and the distinguished faculty member and now doing research I can see it’s mostly just bs for your money😭😭
Well my son decided to not tell me that he had invitation to NHS every year if high school. I found his letters in his backpack last week. He would have had to turn the application in, in February. Nevertheless, he has made straight A's and I have some friends who said NSHSS helped them. Honestly though, neither one imo says more than his transcripts which show his advanced classes and his straight A GPA.
As an upcoming senior in highschool right now Id jut like to say that colleges will be looking for things outside of just grades. Obviously having very good grades will benefit highschool students once we're applying to college but awards do also play an important role as well and seperate us from other students. Hope this helped
So many people butt hurt over a membership fee? Your parents can't spare $90? How are they going to afford all those college application fees that are NON REFUNDABLE and due to these fees will that limit how many colleges you apply for?
I just got the letter and it’s now 90$ lol
Same
I just got the letter aswell
Same

Is any of this real? Would we say it is worth paying the 90?
Actual honor societies don’t charge $$
I’m already in the Nhs so I was excited for the Nshs or whaat ever it’s called but good thing I did my research😭
did you apply for it? what was it about?

They send it to sophomores because any decent student will be a NHS member the next year.
