2012 ഇൽ Pr ആയിട്ടു 2 കുഞ്ഞു പിള്ളാര് ആയിട്ടു വന്ന ഞങ്ങൾ first car വാങ്ങിയത് after 2 yrs. അതും വെറും 5 thousand dollar car. dollar കയ്യിന്നു പോകാൻ വളരെ easy ആണ്. ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ അതിന്റെ 10 ഇരട്ടി difficult ആണ് . ഒറ്റ ചാട്ടത്തിനു canadayil വന്നു , അടുത്ത ഒറ്റ ചാട്ടം തിരിച്ചു പോയി. ഒരു pr കിട്ടി വരുന്നവർക്ക് ഒന്ന് പിടിച്പിടിച്ചു നിക്കാൻ പറ്റണം എങ്കിൽ 5 yrs എടുക്കും . student ആയി വന്നിട്ട് പിന്നെ പറയണോ . ഇനിയെങ്കിലും നല്ലതായി തീരുമാനിച്ചു decision എടുക്കു lifeil.

You are 100% right. I came to Canada as a PR in February 2022. We waited till December to buy our first car in Canada even though we both got into TD. We have to think twice before we act. We can't rush ourselves into everything just because others do. Now a lot of ppl are telling us to buy home which we aren't going to do.
Not being judgemental, buying a car should not be done impulsively, there is no point in blaming the malayali for your foolishness. I live in Ireland and am a nurse, public transport in ireland is not great but we got a car after settling in

I still drive a $9500 car for last 6 years.Those are my 3 cars in Canada for last 9 years.When I see students buy new car of $45000 just like that I always wonder wth are these people doing.

Dear soorya, my 1st and foremost advice to any immigrant especially to the students would be not spend on a car.
Not just the price of the car but you invite a lot of miscellaneous expenses along with it.
We waited until we paid off our second year fees completely by ourselves to buy and car and till date I believe that was the best decision.
It will take some time to settle here that’s correct but those who are ready to hardwork will definitely have a good future.
It’s always advisable to migrate at the beginning stage of our career,or around the mid 20’s so that you have least expectations, courage as well as a mind and body to accept the challenges.
Your husband’s health condition was really unfortunate that u had to take this decision which is absolutely brave!

C mi frnd i got PR after the 8years and i suffered 8 years then i brought car just two year ago. Last 7year were face this much trouble i cant explain here If any body want to canada no pblm but dont get nurviouse, if u hve wil power no need to worri Then u wil get good life.
I been in Canada for more than 5 years, to be honest i had a very sucessfull life here, again different people have different experiences, if you make good and wise decisions here you will not be in trouble, trust me sister, Now i am a canadian citizen with a very comfortable life, i am on a high income bracket but still i did not buy a car yet, i feel i can manage life without it, in toronto its well conneted and also can use Uber if need to go some places, i always tried to save money and spend very less as possible, first few years was a lot of struggle for me , getting paid minimum wage, but i slowly went up the ladder, good luck with your new life and beginning, i wish you all success

Take for instance Bangalore.
The rentals is very high, all services are costly and traffic is horrible. If you move to Bangalore without local support and adequate income and preparation, your life will be miserable. At this age of internet , every information is available on line.
People are same every where. All are working for their own advantage. Dont expect every one to help you .

While buying a vehicle here you should know the car value you don’t need to have lots of contacts for that just google it there is no point of blaming the dealership for that that’s their job to convince the customer and sell the car… am sorry to tell you but it’s all your fault… And could have got a cheaper car for less than 5k through Marketplace why would you finance a car for 25k….
