  • Step by step guide on How to Replace The Coolant Hose Flange on a B7 Audi A4 with a 2.0T Engine. This coolant flange is commonly known to leak and its annoying to replace due to the tight space. I will show and demonstrate the necessary steps and tools needed, to remove and replace the coolant hose flange. This should be applicable on the Audi A4's quattro from these years 2002-2008.

Yo this helped me out a lot. It just broke one me and I wasn't sure what I was up against. Also a lot of people recommend changing this flange every time you do timming belt job because it's prone to cracking and breaking after 120k miles of heat cycles and cooling off.

I'm happy I was able to help you out, thanks for watching!. Yea, it's definitely a common failure part. And I also recommend to replace it before it fails.

Damn you make good videos. Please take an entire Audi A4 B7 engine apart so we can fix all issues with this car. But I’ll settle for a full motor mount replacement video if you have the time.

I wish I had come across this sooner. I just finished doing mine and had to learn through trial and error some things you mentioned. Also, my ‘07 has stainless t-30 bolts holding the coolant flange onto the engine instead of the triple square bolts so I guess they differ on some or maybe a previous mechanic switched them? I have the same design light too, got mine from harbor freight and it was very helpful for this job. It puts out a really good amount of light and being able to articulate it helps get the light where I needed it. I also replaced the valve cover gasket, cam chain cover gasket, and vacuum pump o-rings. To anyone reading this that changes the cam chain cover gasket, be sure to use silicone sealant on it or it will leak. I used reinzosil part number D176404A2 from ecstuning and it is working well, no leaks.

Yea, this replacement can be a real pain. I've never seen stainless steel bolts on that part before. Yea, the slim light is a game changer, I have two of them. Sometimes I have one one the charger while using the other.

I did this without taking off the air pump as I have rather small hands.. I think the hardest part is lining up for the bolts in back and taking off the hose to be able to manipulate it to come out. Otherwise this was awesome guide

Had a complete leak. The dealer tech replaced only the two long hoses and pressured tested it. All good. They didn't replace the flange itself. I am somewhat bummed out about it because I will be constantly worrying now. Car is 2008 with 89K

My audi also leaks badly at the flange itself and it recently hit 90k, id say keep an eye out on that flange for build up for coolant residue

So the coolant flange in the video and the coolant flange on the site in the link are different. One comes out and down to the side. One side comes out and up.? Will it still work?
