I see breeders like this as akin to the Seed Bank in Svalbard. And one day when we come to our senses, eradicate the gold miners, palm oil growers and loggers, take out the dams and allow the amazon to start restoring itself, we can perhaps have a stock to re-populate the rivers.

I just can't bring myself to pay it for how little fry they have. Nice looking fish you have. I'm in the process of building a fish room myself. Gonna hit Petco tomorrow for the $1 per gallon sale.
Great video! As a brazilian, took me until 13:50 to get that river is xingu. Here the "x" sounds like "ch", as you can tell my english its not very good, but it's great to watch "fish room videos"... One day I'll have my own, until there have to learn and get all the information and ideas, like the way this fish room was build, great great construction... Thank's for the video!

maybe he means second largest of a certain species of cathfish, like f.e. saying the brasilienis is a big geopghagus or something ? Look at the lenght of the tail for a young fish like that !

my brother turned of my tank once cause his girlfriends kids couldn't sleep with the noise (why the hell where they in my room to begin with) and killed all my fish over night! I had fish requiring a lot of oxygen (ghost koi) this was before I got my pond as they out grew their tank....gutted. only thing that survived were my goldies. he brought me a mirror carp baby who I still have to this day. iv had sturgeon die due to power cuts too.

no bubbles no oxygen? thats so NOT right^^ oxygen mostly gets into the water with surface flow.
regardless in a tank, the oxygen will deplete without surface agitation.
