I didn't know he was a Microbiologist. Sweet! I took micro as a required course when I was in nursing school and I learned so much and enjoyed every minute of it.

They were popular when they came in, but now you don't see many for sale. You're right, they are peaceful mbunas and were the first to breed for me. In fact, they had a whole beehive of youngsters going in the corner of a 75 in a rock construct I set up for them. Here's the thing: Yours are huge! My specimens were breeding at around 2" and never got much bigger, even though I was feeding them with deluxe seafood concoctions. Yours look to be around 7-8". Good job. Nice fish that deserves to regain some status.

I really wish these fishroom tours would go over some aspect of electricity and what's needed for them. They all seem like massive fire hazards, or an industrial amount of outlets and breakers.
Another great video. I felt kind of bad after I got home from Aquashella because I didn't know who he was when I was getting signatures at the FIshtube booth. I just assumed he was a saltwater RUclipsr. I found out who he was by accident when I was looking for videos about Fluval Planted 3.0 since I got 1 at Aquashella. I'm subscribed to him now. I'm definitely getting his autograph next time I see him.
