I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your take on the topics of this band. My life is forever changed in part thanks to this band, as cheesy as that may sound. It is actually true, but the depth of their lyrical meanings. Ridiculously unfathomable to me personally. I also understand why worship is a word synonymous with their fans. Religious without religion. Self is our own worst enemy. Euclid on the new Eden album plays perfectly right back into the first song on their first full length, Sundowning. Such a beautiful trinity of emotion. Much love y’all ❤️🔥
NO matter how many times I listen to this song, that breakdown just hits me so hard, I feel it in my heart and soul everytime. Its absolutley amazing. The build up in this song is pure perfection
My dude, I’m stunned at your assessment because it is so close to my theory! We must have ESPN. The drums are absolutely crashing waves. When they first come in, they’re calm and soothing just before the second verse. Then they get more intense in the second chorus. Then they become downright violent in the breakdown. My other theory is that the breakdown section is a metaphor for drowning. “… we will ever be together,” then it drops. Imagine it’s the moment someone enters the water, waves crashing, being pulled under more and more. Then, at the very end, sudden calm (death). Great chance I’m overthinking it, but even if I am, it fits, which might make it all the more impressive.
My favourite thing about sleep token is they are masters at letting the instruments speak, after the last verse, the instruments let you feel the intensity of what he said and let's it sink in
I'm a big sleep token fan and these kind of reactions might be an innocent addiction to me, but your reaction stands out to, I love how you appreciate the music and put it into words, please keep doing stuff like this!!
"And it seems my hell is your high water, Wash me clean again before I pull myself beneath the waves" this song hits home way too much for me man. Love your dive into the lyrics forreal!!! Cant wait to see what ya think of the new album!
These 3 albums are a trilogy... I believe his music is good journey to healing from heart break and loss. Since hearing the whole take me back to Eden album it all makes since to me now I believe someone he was in love with our really close to possibly died or took thier own life and it has left him broken and this is the way he is coping and you can tell this is all real for him to the point allot of these songs make him even cry when he performs them. I think the ( diety he worships is that person that he lost she's sleeping now cuz she isn't hear anymore) and when he dreams sometimes he can with her. But then he has to wake up and it's like loosing her all over again. Maybe I'm crazy but that is just what makes since to me. And I'm an empath so I feel this on a very very intense level. ( Did you realize that the drums are a throw back to jaws)
Hell yea soooo pumped you did High Water!!! This whole albums videos are visualizers, fun fact if you pay attention to the color from track 1 to the end of the water it continues to get darker and the depth charges in the video continue to go deeper. Thank you so much for this one!!
I would absolutely love (and watch repeatedly) a series of videos by you on their albums, and the lyrical analysis of each song. Your videos are the best I've seen on the subject by far
“Letting the instruments sing” I was thinking this about Sleep Token earlier today. It feels like the genre of the song isn’t a consideration, it’s more about what doesn’t the instrumental emotion demand.
Thats the best description of the high water breakdown ive ever heard man, I think you'll really dig Bloodsport there's the full band album version and then there's Bloodsport (from the room Below) just vessel and his piano and its an actual video hauntingly beautiful! Worship!!
It’s the “you are still a perfect reminder of what all of these scars on my arms are for, if I can hold myself together” and then the “I can’t hold myself together” at the end… hits so hard 😭😭
This song kills me every time. I am on the road to a divorce after 20 yrs and have been emotionally beaten down for a good portion of it. I have been ignoring the signs for far too long thinking shit would just magically right itself when I logically know it won't. If not for my kids I would have probably been gone a long time ago. Anyhoo, your lyrical analysis was pretty spot on in my opinion.
The fact that this is how they choose to end this album 😩😩 (not including the missing limbs epilogue) is just so telling to the emotional reality of his world. This is my favorite album and I find that most people tend to choose one of the others as their favorite over this one, but I have a theory that people who have viscerally experienced darkness and pain in their life… choose this album as their favorite of the three. There is pain being explored in all of the albums, yes, but the Tomb album TRULY embodies some of the deepest, most shadowy aspects of human pain. 🥺💔
Dude, love your depth, that you see in the words. I see them too. This music is a companion to the Dark Night of the Soul. It holds a candle and leaves trail to come out the other end.
Hi I’m new here but love your reaction video I subscribed to see more. Also I know I just got here but another song that hits me in the feelers hard is, tearjerker by korn

For me it’s the instrumentals after the first pull myself beneath the waves makes me feel like I’m drowning I can’t explain it
This song just does something to my brain 🫠 From the lyrics, to Vessel's vocals & the musicianship... just perfection 😍
"When the mouth infinity buries its teeth in me" is just amazing writing.

The theory is it's the girl from his first project. There are Easter egg references to that project's name in the lyrics to several songs.
@ninja3687 yeah but she's still around so that throws the theory above out
10:36 nailed it man
Having had a pretty profound emotional breakdown to the end of this song once, I can confirm that last part gets ya there 😅😅😅
What a lovely worship, my friend. Thank you for sharing!

My man the dropped a whole new album last night. You GOTTA listen to "Ascensionism," and "The Apparition."
I would absolutely love (and watch repeatedly) a series of videos by you on their albums, and the lyrical analysis of each song. Your videos are the best I've seen on the subject by far
This means a lot! Thank you!
I second this!
Wow you worshipped hard in this one! I felt you feel the emotion! 🖤
Brilliant reaction sir!! So much pain in the instrumental part at the end..
Homie did accept it, but in doing so it fractured his idea of reality to the core
“Letting the instruments sing”
I was thinking this about Sleep Token earlier today. It feels like the genre of the song isn’t a consideration, it’s more about what doesn’t the instrumental emotion demand.
Love your insights mate, the point about letting the instruments sing hits the nail on the head
Absolutely brilliant analysis. Thank you for this heart-shaking, truly genuine reaction. Instant sub

You listen more deeply than most people breathe. Loved this reaction. 🖤
This song is so deep and emotional and will break this heart
Literally has to hold my heart the same way you did when I first hear that breakdown. This song made me cry so hard lol
It’s the “you are still a perfect reminder of what all of these scars on my arms are for, if I can hold myself together” and then the “I can’t hold myself together” at the end… hits so hard 😭😭
I enjoy your reactions and the lyrical breakdown so much I love how much you love this band, keep up the good work :)

Aw man, I felt ya through out. Same here dude
Great analysis throughout! And yea you picked a W A C K Y day to react to an old ST banger with the album dropping today lol keep ‘em comin bro
Your insight is incredible. This music is heart wrenching. And high art. It makes you want to embrace this man to try to alleviate some of his pain. 💔

That breakdown feels like pain it speaks for itself, this song is literally breathtaking. My absolute favourite by them by far. Amazing reaction! 🖤
“For the time being. You are a perfect reminder of what, all of these scars on my arms are for.”
You deserve more subscribers! You get it, and i can tell you really care about music.
