I know I'm very late to this video, but I just have to say, this may be the best interpretation I've heard of this song from any one doing a reaction. Especially when you're picking up on stuff like "tangled with what I never said, you say it doesn't matter" referring to him thinking of all the things he could have said (or even done) differently but it all being pointless or not mattering. That loss of hope in that moment is brutal. You actually hear it in the music as well. The entire song is in minor chord (aka the sad chord) and you can hear that throughout, but right up until that very moment of the song, it's actually hopeful. The "sad chords" sound hopeful, like "tangled in what i never said" translates to a feeling of hope for him, just to be dashed back down in to sadness with the "you say it doesn't matter" as the minor chord turns back in to sadness with no hope. I think I would describe this as the "acoustic version" since this came out after the album did. Definitely a powerful song.
