I believe II was a metal core drummer in a previous life which explains why he’s freaking amazing
Metalcore and deathcore, plus in his drumeo interview, he speaks about how influenced he is by gospel drummers and the drum&bass dance scene. All this together explains why his sound is so very unique… such a broad range of musical influence, all filtered through his unique genius.
This and Distraction are 2 songs that you hear and think damn another good one but it goes on the back shelf until it comes up on shuffle and it becomes your favorite.
Have you watched ii's Drumeo offering? He talks about writing the drum parts after the other tracks are done. He's a genius like Vessel.

I think that synth sound in the beginning is the same synth melody from Jaws, just slowed down! Did you react to Jaws already? I thought you did but I don’t remember
Also, did you snag tickets for they’re upcoming tour??

@@RyanSoanesMusic ohhhh definitely react to Jaws! It’s sooooooo good! The tour unfortunately is sold out as far as I know but it wouldn’t hurt to keep checking! I’m seeing them for the first time in May! I could only get nosebleeds but it’s better than nothing! Trying to get tickets to and ST show is a bloodbath lol! But yes, they’re hitting the UK as well!
