      Well after today's events I am starting to feel old. I pulled up and fell ( luckily safely ) when running for a bus and stayed down for a couple of minutes until 4 Builders came to my aid and lifted me up and I had to travel across London and then out of London to buy a car after mine, sadly, died on Sunday Evening.
      When I got home with te new car I, literally, could not get out of the car for about 3/4 minutes because of the pain on my right side on the inner part of that leg. I hobbled over there feeling a little numb all over and tonight laid down and crossed that leg and got excruciatingly cramp there. Sitting up I'm fine and I can walk about which is essential as I walk other people's dogs ! It seems if I stretch the leg out while laying down it's ok so after boasting that since 1960 I have had 2 hours in Hospital in the last 60 years I am praying it's not a torn ligament or pulled muscle. Tomorrow will make me wiser and I hope it's just sore.....lol

      @jaidenobrien 4 года назад +7

      I know that as a Queen fan, I'm a bit biased in my opinion on this, but I tend to think that that goal will never be reached! Again, that's just my personal opinion. Not many bands these days sound anywhere near as well as they do on the record, as the majority use auto tune on their albums. However, Freddie sounds just as good live, as in the studio version. Also, you have to admit, Freddie was a true entertainer, because he's so animated while performing, rather than just standing in the same spot, singing during the entire concert! Honestly, how many concerts have you been to, where the singer sounds just as good live, as they do on the record?! I'd venture to say not that many! This band is the total package! One of my only regrets in life, is that I never had the opportunity to see them live. Still, it's good to see a new generation discover great music, especially when that music isn't necessarily a genre that they usually like, or listen to. Always great reactions on this channel, or more accurately, some of the best reaction videos that I've seen on RUclips so far!

    It's super refreshing to see new fans of Queen that actually make it a point to research the entire band. Honestly, with someone like Freddie in a band, it's super easy to focus solely on the energy that he was. But to actually appreciate the fact that Brian is killing his solos, Roger's drumming and the huge part he plays with the vocals, and how iconic Deaks' bass lines are is awesome.

  • @Janetjrfan
    @Janetjrfan 4 года назад +38

    The studio recording was of David Bowie and Queen. David sang all the lower notes and Freddie sang the higher ones. When Queen performed it live Freddie sang David's parts so that left Roger to sing Freddie's higher parts!

    Roger actually had a big roll in this song in that he saved it from being forgotten. The story goes something like this - John (the bassist) came up with that funky little bass riff at the beginning of the song when they were jamming one day. Then they went and had lunch (or something like that) and when they got back John couldn't remember what he played. However, Roger did remember it and the song came back to life and then was developed into what it is today.

    By all accounts, Freddie was a very generous and sweet person, even when he found out he was sick and going to die, he kept on doing his job. When he died he left us the gift of his beautiful voice. I’m also grateful and proud to see how Brian, Roger and John stood by him during his illness, they protected and stood up for him at all cost. A person with Aids back then was scorned, disowned and even abandoned by family and friends. Thank god for the network of true friends who stood by and took care of him to the end. May his beautiful soul continue to sleep peacefully. Queen forever!!!

    Hey guys! Why does everyone mention just Brian, Freddie and Roger? John Deacon's bass was amazing. THAT bass riff in this song was all John Richard Deacon and that is what you were bopping to. You should hear some of his bass work in songs like Breakthru, Dragon Attack, Liar, The Invisible Man, Millionaire Waltz....hell EVERYTHING. He was their engine and anchor. Because he retired after his dear friend Freddie died he is so often ignored. He also wrote a pile of their biggest, songs like "Another one bites the Dust", "You're my best Friend" and "I want to Break Free". He was an amazing bassist, an electrical genius with an honors degree in electrical engineering and invented Brian's amp that made such unique sounds and he was a full one quarter of Queen. He was quiet and shy but a GENIUS. Queen called him their secret weapon and they all admired him. Freddie said if they needed a hit they would put John in a room for a day and he would come up with the goods. Please don't ignore John "Deaky" Deacon!!!!!
    Oops, I see others mentioned Deaky too! RESPECT!

Such a fantastic concert with many big musical legends singing lead to Queen's songs as their tribute to Freddie - classic concert that stands the test of time. Enjoy.

    First time seeing a Dean Bros reaction...."you're fabulous". What a treat. Thanks. (Of course I could be 'certified' Queen crazy, Deaky on Bass Guitar, Roger vocals and percussion and certainly Brian owning his guitars. AND especially loving Freddie Mercury [tears daily for him] Queen Band, so good to each other and Great Entertainers - you guys also. YES!

    Loved your reactions. Queen were my first favoutite band and still are.
    My parents were huge fans and always playing Queen. I was at my first Queen concert when i was barely 8. My parents had me with them when Queen toured The Works album in 81/82. Simmonscourt Hall in Dublin Ireland.
    So when they were on the Kind of Magic tour which is where this performance is from in 86 i saw them play to near 120,000 people in Slane Castle in Ireland when i was 14 nearly 15 and it was memorable.
    Was not long after this Tour, the last with mercury, when freddie became very sick and possibly secretly knew he was HIV positive already and that virus killed him in a few short years. He was absolutley the best front man i have seen and it was tragic how freddie went so quickly. Queen are legends. Freddie passed away in 91. RIP .

    It is so sweet to see a younger generation falling in love with Queen. I had the luck of growing up with them and it changed my world. If you guys haven't seen it, you have to watch the movie called "Highlander". Queen did the music for it. IT WILL ROCK YOUR WORLD.

    Y’all need to do “Now I’m Here” live from Wembley (Saturday night with white jacket) 1986. Whole band jamming out & it was the hardest song of their whole catalogue for Roger to play. John’s bass is awesome, as well as Brian’s guitar, of course. They were tight that night! 🔥🎶🔥🎶🔥
    Roger songs: Drowse, The Loser in the End (will make you hug your mama), Tenement Funster...someone else probably will tell you some more 🎶☮️🎶

    David Bowie and Queen all wrote this song together. John Deacon came up with the bass riff then they went to dinner and he forgot it but Roger remembered it and they all contributed. Roger sings a lot during the concerts especially the high notes because his voice is naturally high. Listen to In The Lap of the Gods Live at the Rainbow 1974 (not the revisited version) for Roger's best falsetto. Great to see you guys getting to know the best band ever! Michael Jackson went to all the Queen shows in L.A. and convinced them to put out Another One Bites the Dust (written by John Deacon) as a single. It went to #1 in the U.S. All 4 wrote hits and are in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

    After Freddie passed there was a tribute concert at this very Wembley Stadium. Two great singers did this same song as a tribute - check out David Bowie and Annie Lennox doing this song. Their outfits and her make up alone is worth seeing! Good job guys! I am a retired 67 yr old married white dude in N California and APPRECIATE you younger people LOVIN’ the music WE GREW UP WITH!

    They came to see the band, Freddie was the best front man ever, held the crowd in the palm of his hand, but they were all song writers, Roger on drums amazing vocals in his own right, Brian’s guitar is phenomenal, and never forget John “deeky” Deacon, his riffs are iconic

    Don't forget to mention Deaky, aka John Deacon, bass player for Queen. Deaky wrote Another One Bites The Dust, I want to Break Free, Friends Will Be Friends, and more.

    The thing about Queen and many others - Elvis, Otis Reading, Sinatra, Turner, and the other thousands, it was about 'universality' and love, peace and unity. It was never ever about one group of people against another. You guys are the future, out future, whatever race or creed whatever, the world is hurting right now. Continue what you're doing, raising the love for everyone.
