I've been making beats for 30 years. I love my MPCs and other hardware units, but he doesn't know what he's talking about. You don't "tell" FL Studio what you want just to have it magically made for you. 60% of the time that I'm in a DAW I'm recording midi from keyboards or drum pads, 10% I'm working with audio input from other instruments, the remaining 30% I'm fiddling with the mix manually and adding effects. Often enough I then track out and repeat. None of this is AI driven. I fear that day, that's when the music will truly start to die.
They was still using presets back then with those hardware keyboards … imo music just evolved … you don’t need those massive keyboards and boards to make music

Synths aren't new. They've been put into DAW's but the concept of using a FM synth in FL, Ableton, Logic or whatever is still the same. Mixing is still a huge part of the process to not have your sounds get muddy. Compression is an important part of a good track too. It's not as easy as he makes it out to be. It's not super hard either to be fair. Khaled saying stuff to say stuff again.
