Great video. Now my 2 cents worth:This is a "do not buy"!! I received one as a gift a couple weeks ago. Made two cups a day for 3 days, then it quit pumping. Tried everything, even adding another couple cups of water which ended up coming out the bottom. Contacted Keuring, nice people. They sent me a new one the other day. This morning, after 2 test runs to make sure all was clean, and working properly, I tried to brew a cup of coffee. Dripped about a thimble full, then it just sat there running, but not dispensing. Same problem as last time. Will send this one back and go back to my old stainless steel percolator which hasn't let me down in over 30 years!
The easy thing to do is call Keurig and they'll send you a replacement. And not ask for the old one back because of COVID. I've done it because of the pump, twice. Not trying to minimize your video, thank you. Your video was great!
YES, finally someone said it. If I have to do so much maintenance they have to give me new one. Mine is so loud and turns of three out of four times just when I needed coffee for my meeting. Thanks for your post. I am going to call Keurig, hopefully they'll pickup without so much wait. I bought it in their site for full price, registered for warranty etc. I hope they honor my request.
After having a single Kcup maker for years we craved a pot being made on the weekends. Researched a bunch of models and choose this one. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxL8yFdHfPF4ObeIwJ5JdM3i_9XLnbjUC2 We love it! We wanted a water reservoir for the single cup so we didn’t have to pour water in every cup but the other models it fed the water to the coffee pot to so by the time we made one pot we’d have no water left. This model has the traditional pour in feature for the pot and the reservoir for the cup which works great for us. Love how there is a bunch of holes pouring the water over the coffee, makes it taste much better. Only drawback I have is the way the lid is angled on the pot section it’s hard to get the last bit of water out of the pot into the machine without it spilling somewhere else.
@@domingovalenzuela9755 there are 2 screws on the bottom to remove then insert a credit card or something similar to pry the sides open and it will pop off
@@charlottetysland9293 thank you for this!!! there is literally nothing on the internet about this lol I've checked reddit. ifixit, and so many other places with no luck!
The only thing that fixed my K Mini was taking a q-tip and really getting all of the gunk out of the tiny filter. Such a small thing to do, but really changed everything. Water drained faster because more was being let in at a quicker time, and my machine automatically brewed coffee without shutting off! It's been weeks since I could do that! Even better, the coffee it brewed was piping hot!!
Thank you for sharing, this was my EXACT issue! It only took me 4 videos and searching through multiple comments to find this fix! Thanks again! My wife and I both tend to leave the lid of the reservoir open so that it can air out. But apparently, after using a q-tip like you suggested, a lot of lint and dust built up in there. I guess we will keep that lid closed from now on
All this is very useful info. The problem with mine not drawing water brand new was one of the hoses inside was kinked not allowing water to pump. Unkinked hose and works perfect.
Hopefully this might help someone else. My issue was my power light would not stay lit nor would the long bar light. What had happened in my case, I found out the hard way, was that we had over filled the tank and it caused the problem. This is what happens when you do not read the directions and follow them. This is not the fastest machine so be patient and let it do its thing on its time. Once I was able to run all of the water out of the tank all worked perfectly. To get the water out was a little tricky but simple and also required patience. I had to keep fiddling with the top to get the electrical connection to stay on by just opening and closing it to certain degrees until the lights would stay lit and get it to run the water through the tank. Do NOT add more water while trying to drain the tank. After I emptied the tank, which was holding about 3 cups, I was able to close the lid fully and get all of the lights to stay lit as they should and to get the thing to cycle normally. NOTE TO SELF: When the long bar lights up press the top button (large circle) ONLY once! and WAIT! We kept thinking it was just not working and kept pressing and refilling and caused our own problem!
Thanks, this machine sucks. If it requires so much maintenance it is not for me. Mine is stopping so frequently when I need coffee just 4 minutes before a meeting and very frustrating when it fails. Thanks for the tip,
I hate this machine. I am on my second one after Keurig exchanged my first one for doing this same thing. Now here I am again on the second one and the water isn't draining. I am going to toss this one and buy a different Keurig. I have the regular one and it doesn't give me any problems.
i just did what you said with the paper clip, and so far the last 3 cups have been great! i cleaned it off and the bottom of the machine was filled with scum and muck, so definitely was over filling it
Mine was trickling water in the cup and the lights/power were not working as they should or not at all. The fix for me was to keep cycling cups one at a time while squeezing off the overflow rubber tube as you suggested. I just used my fingers a few cycles. Water started flowing fast on the first squeeze. After a few cycles like this, water was no longer coming out the overflow tube and all lights back to working even with no squeeze. For now. Thanks for the tips.
It is also a sign that you need to descale your Keurig machine. If you descale your Keurig properly, and keep it clean the Keurig mini not pumping water should be less of an issue too. Also sometimes you may have to give the Keurig a minute or 2. The water pump can be over worked or too hot sometimes. You will definitely notice this when you use your keurig a lot or do several water rinse after descaling with solution like Vinegar. The machine tends to get hot. You can feel it on the side.
That does help once the machine is defective. It starts making poor quality coffee or tea from the machine. It is not drinkable quality. I can tell because I don't use K-cups. I use my own coffee. It went from making coffee I could not believe came from a Keurig that made me happy, and gave me a high. Now it makes disappointing, and sad coffee. Did not last long like my old Keurig K10 that was discontinued that Keurig replaced with the mini/mini-plus line. I have seen reviews online where the machines start becoming defective within 6 months or a little over a year. I hope the new one I ordered last several years or more like my Keurig K-10. The strong brew is a game changer for me, which makes it better than the K-mini. I use that feature all the time.
The heater tank has one air tube on it, it however has to allow air out to fill the heater tank and air in to push the water out. Normally a air switch performs this task.but if it is damaged air does not flow out and thus water doesn't not flow in, then later water will not flow out of the tank because air pump cannot pressurize the tank and water may leak out into the air vent tube. Do you get a full size cup with the exit air flow closed off? That may be the reason you need to have water in the tank at all times.
thor163, Are you saying to keep filling with water and run it through until the Keurig stops drawing down all the water? When I ran 4 or 5 cups worth of water through, it just kept emptying the reservoir. So I tried cutting the machine off when there was a bit of water still left. When I turned it on by lifting and lowering the the puncture part, the machine just commenced emptying the remaining water before heating, etc. And still not very hot. What am I doing wrong? (I was -and am - pleased to see a cure for exactly the problem with my mini. Just want to do it right.
Mine flat out doesn't wanna brew. The only way I can get it to brew is by violently hammering the button with a household hammer. It fucking deserves the beating I give it! It's only a few months old!
Could be a bad calcium build up. Take the hoses off and drain them and clean off the plastic connectors too. Got mine to work again. Cleaning with vinegar has prevented the issue from coming back.
Give up - this is not a reliable item - waste of time - works only randomly (once every twenty tries, and badly, real badly). Who invented this and builds these? If they can't get something so simple so wrong... Abandon troubleshooting. I'm returning mine - must be one of the most returned items. This is the second new one that doesn't work. Same at home, same at work.
Hello, How are you. Just now I saw your video it’s related with keurig coffee machine. I need your help to setup the internal pipes in my coffee machine
Be careful but I use used a knife to pry the sides. Then underneath there are 2 screws. Loosen those and apply light force and pull the whole panel off.
If the water runs immediately it’s not taking time to heat up , open & close the coffee port , push start and it should take 30 seconds to heat up . If the keurig tries to run but stops and the start button blinks then the pump isn’t priming , the video shows how to fix that
If water does not come out pull lever there is a white pin at top Get a paper clip go in holes of white pin and clean out and water will come .Hit K button and problem solvef
Yes, It’s supposed to be self priming but for some reason no longer self primes over time or the sensor doesn’t let it run long enough to self prime anymore

I’d rather try to keep my stuff out of a landfill. That’s why I’m trying to repair it instead of just replacing it.
Can you still do this if you bought the machine off of Target ?
I called them, they can tell by sn that it was out of warranty and offered me a 15% discount on a new one

Where is the tiny filter?
So perhaps you’d be better if making a video on how you did that instead of this waste of time

There are 2 Phillips screws underneath as well as having to pry from the front

Easy way to fix it is to open up the trash bin and throw it in there and never buy a Keurig again
