I loved the "purity" and discipline within the video. One of the greatest areas coaches make mistakes is they cross over into the consulting/training side. When you do this, you create a position that holds you accountable and you allow the client the room to blame a failure on your suggestions or strategies. Avoid this trap that you create for yourself! Keeping TRUE to coaching means you absolutely ask the tough questions and allow the person to see for themselves, the right path. When they see it, and draw it out, it keeps the framework of the idea or strategy, their own. This helps with clarity of ownership and defines who actually needs to do the changing, in total perspective. Even when the client fell, the coach held out a net, but then scooped the pencil back up and handed it to the client. GREAT video!!
I love the simplicity of the video. It shows the coachees reflective thinking, trial and error, the exploration of creativity, and mistakes will occur. This video is amazing
That is one the best demonstrations of coaching I have ever seen. The physicalization of the dilemma as well as the coaching tools. The coaches role in supplying those tools at the right time but the client putting in the work and the effort. Brilliant!
This is a great depiction of the entire process. I am going to start using it with my prospects. It says more in those few minutes than can be said in many more.
Thaks for posting this. I liked it. It explains very simply and clearly how we are in charge of our own destiny. The lifecoach can assist in keeping us motivated. They DONT hand us the gift-wrapped answers. We do everything for ourselves, reach our dreams/goals and with the added bonus of improving ourselves as we make our journeys.
I think this is great, a cute little story to illustrate the nature of coaching, providing the client with tools, having the client realize that they needed to add rungs to the ladder to make smaller steps. Wow, poignant and entertaining. Congrats!
This was actually pretty well done. It does cover the coaching process in that the coach wasn't pulling or pushing the coachee towards his goal. Rather, he lets him figure it out for himself & helps him find the best way to get there. Bravo
This is a great and fun video. I like how you cleverly show the alliance between the coach and the client, how the client has to do the work but the coach is right there supporting and catching the client, and how creative the client is to solving their own life's situation when they have good support. I would make one change: at the end show the client grows bigger, because they learned and became more of themselves. That's the point of coaching, clients permanently grow more into themselves
It sounds like a lot of people have a very strange concept of what coaching is. It is the direct opposite of charlatanism simply because it is based on real respect of the other (the client), the different viewpoints and experiences people have nd on permission from the client. This little cartoon is actually creative and lovely. Thanks.
Excellent video. Thank you for posting. It is simple entertaining and very to the point. No need for bells and whistles when you know what you are talking about. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU MUCH!!
Well done video, clear representaton of coaching fundamental principle. The coach is bringing you the "tool box", the toolbox represents systems, processes, and knowledge a coach brings to help the clients. The clients defining and reaching their dreams is the measurement of success. Each coach bring its own "toolbox"- Finding the coach who matches the client philosophy is what's critical. Sophie, Smile Enabler with WellTastic.
I love this.Great stuff. I think it's great how it's clear that it's about the client and their success. There is definitely a time to say good bye once our job is done. Way to go coaches and way to go people. You're awesome.
I love this video. It explains in a beautiful way what the purpose of coaching is. I am a language coach and I am definitely going to use this with my clients.

Nice, simple and clear!!! Congrats!!! I was looking for video in order to explain in 2 minutes, with images, How coaching works. Great idea!!! I think that the best part of it is that It´s not need to be translated into another language because of a spoken explanation, therefore it works for everyboday which it is a plus in my case. I work internationally so, THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In theory we all know but in practice many times that knowledge isn´t enough nor useful, - "What´s happening? Who am I? What shall I do?" Coaching the way you are living: Look attentively and start to see what never seen before. Contemplate who we truly are. Discover new options, possibilities of expression. Plan objectives and actions to undertake. Sense and direction to effort. Appreciate the process.
It's actually quite good, if you know anything about coaching, and Wellcoaches, specifically. It represents all the elements of a healthy coaching experience, from the beginning to end. So, msalseroblanco, can you please explain how you coach your client through a lapse, relapse or difficult step? Why the hostility in your tone?
Hi, you are Dutch I see.. I used to live in Holland in '82-'89.. one of the best years of my life as it's such a beautiful, peaceful and open society.. I tried to learn Dutch but the Dutch always wanted to converse with me in English.!! anyways, love to go back some fine day as some friends are still there.. take care and Hup, Holland, Hup in this coming World Cup :)
This is great!! Best coaching program I ever came across is ftrnation, an online coaching community where you share your progress, support and ideas with others as well (FTR = free thinking renegades).
Have you tried to add a personal clip to your website for introducing yourself to your customers? With VideoStir you can do it yourself in a few minutes. It's a new startup with a new technology. Very cool
littleblackdressx it doesn't matter wether you untie the knot or find a way thru the impasse. The future you obtain is something you can change whereas the past is the past
Thank you 'Wellcoaches' for all the good work you do.

Hi! Great way to explain the clients on how coaching works! Congratulations on the video! I took the freedom to put on some subtitles in portuguese and uploaded the video with subtitles on my account. Is that ok for you?
@HanZiField A coach hands you the tools to carry yourself in various states of comfort. That's why you see the coach handing a tool to the coachee in every stage of their journey.
This is a very good and simple explaination but would benefit from subtle explainations around how the client does the work while the Coach only introduces implements, resources & insights that the client uses to achieve success.
@gespilk Having been involved with both in professional and personal circumstances, I actually think that consultants are the charlatans... especially management consultants. More often then not in the business environment it is precisely the obvious practical things we need to be reminded of because these are the things we most easily loose sight of in our busy minds and busy days. A coach can do this in a caring and and empathetic manner....your boss or client will never do the same.
Characteristics of a mentally trained competitor .Every competitor understands all too well the unfortunate performance of poor emotional control .We have developed the first ever visual training aid for athletes that gives them instant access to their conscious mind that explains the mind-focusing techniques that stand between you and success .You can see this ground breaking self help method at [ mental training & improving life skills .]

GREAT video!!
+Chris Banzet I completely agree! :-)
+Chris Banzet Very well said!
An image is worth a thousand words - and an animated one is worth a thousand books! Thank you for putting this together...
I love the simplicity of the video. It shows the coachees reflective thinking, trial and error, the exploration of creativity, and mistakes will occur. This video is amazing
Notice that the coach guided and assisted, he/she didn't do the work. That's the point to successful guidance. Wonderful!

What a talent to put so much information into such a concise and simple video!!
Nice to see a video with no sound, we can imagine what is going on in the minds of both the coach and the client. THKS
loved this little video! brilliant. simplistically gives potential client an inkling of whats possible for them!
It perfectly describes the way we should consider coaching and self-improvement in our lives.

I mostly liked the small steps ideea in this video, it's suggested when the coach draws smaller stairs:D
awesome!
Nicely done Coach Meg and Wellcoaches!
Love how simple it is put to me...
@alvarobote I think that the coach mostly asks and also shows tools, but it´s the coachee who chooses if he´ll use them, which ones and how
Very effective, its worth a thousand words
Animation is engaging and extremely helpful in thinking about coaching! Will be sharing with Literacy Team members.
This is great!! Best coaching program I ever came across is ftrnation, an online coaching community where you share your progress, support and ideas with others as well (FTR = free thinking renegades).
J'adore ! C'est simple et efficace !!! BRAVO pour cette belle Vidéo !
what did the knotted road represent? If the person could figure out how to untie it, wouldn't they be better prepared for the future?
love it! much better than trying to articulate to a potential client
Have you tried to add a personal clip to your website for introducing yourself to your customers?
