I’m a year in and the actual loc is loc’ed but I’m learning the roots will never loc that’s the purpose of the retwist 🙄duh. I was retwisting every week. After hearing so many videos I am at two to three weeks now. The great thing for me is because of spiritual reasons I keep my hair covered in public. If it had not been for that bye bye loc’s. I find if I style my locs then it keeps me from retwisting every week or two. I don’t want no thin loc’s 😡. My locs have grown in my journey 😃slowly but I can see the growth. I keep my hair covered for bed ALWAYS never missed a day to ward off the lit mob🤣🤣. If I don’t moisturize daily my locs dry out so I do that daily and I oil my locs with hair growth oil twice a week. I found I just have to learn my hair doing my journey and it will tell me what it needs. I love my locs and I will never comb them out. What’s the purpose of going through the journey to one day comb them out, that’s just silly to me and a waste of time. This is how my hair will be until Jesus comes for me 😳. I look forward to more videos from you because you keep me laughing. How do you deal with the frizz?? Oh and a life saver for me to get my hair to loc and avoid all the constant two strands coming aloose I used a loc tool after 6 months of wanting to pull my hair out and after that first twist with the tool I never had to retwist the loc again. The most important are hydrating and not over twisting. Wrapping is important, but not every night. I’ve been growing mines since this April, and I swear my hair has grow a lot! I get em twisted like every four to six weeks! I don’t wash it til then. My hair is very thick so my hair started locking very fast!
I love your energy and advice. My loctician tried to convince me to come every two weeks for three months! I am approaching my 3rd month on the 4th of March. She told me not to mist my hair with water because it will cause my coils to frizz! At what stage did you start moisturizing your hair with conditioner? She told me to moisturize with oil! My hair texture is similar to yours so you confirm that it takes time but the my coils with thicken in time! Thanks for the advice.
Water and rose water helps with moisture, and you use oil to seal. Water actually helps the locking process. Hey hey I'm new here. So happy i found your channel. We have a similar hair texture and both started with 2 strand twist. I'm 1 year and 3 months in and I'm loving it. I did notice that with my texture the length of the 2 strand twist sections are taking longer to loc in comparison to persons with looser texture. Your hair is a perfect rep of what's going on with mines.
My aunts Loc’s comes pass her but, they are full and healthy the the crazy part is she never wraps her hair at night she doesn’t oil or moisturize, she only washes if she gets a retwist which is about every three months, she does NOTHING to her hair
I’ve had my locs for 5 months now and for the last 3 months I’ve been doing exactly this. Lol only because life is so hectic I be happy to even get a bath at the end of the night 😂😂 but that’s so nice to hear hopefully I’ll be the same
New to your channel. I love your locs, your energy and you're also funny af😂🔥 Instagram brought me here btw. Lol. Just started my locs a week and half ago so I thank you for this🙌🏾 Do you have any tips for unraveling? Some of the twists on my looser curls keep unraveling. Not the entire twist because I've braided my roots, although 2 on my nape are just loose right now and I can't stand it😩. Should i keep keep twisting them (without combing) or leave them alone? By that I mean only twist them when I re-twist my new growth. Thank you in advance❤️
Hii!! Thank you so much!🤗♥️ Regarding your question, if yours are only a week in, I would go ahead just twist the ends back up. Within my first like 3 weeks, some of my twist would get loose at the end and I would just twist it back up. After like a month if anything was still loose or loose hairs I personally kind of left them alone and just waited until I gave myself a retwist. I hope that helps!

I got a lil dandruff too but the girl who did my dreads said its fine, and to wait 1 week. I oil them nicely everyday but still. i feel like my hair is dirty or stinks. anyways im chilling. just gonna let them dread up on their own while trying not to worry too much

I thank you for these tips. I’m 9 months in and I hate retwisting
Not only does wearing a loc-sock help keep my locs from drying out AND I have VERY LITTLE lint issues. 💯
I’m four months into my loc journey now. The Lint Mob segment of this video almost took me out 😂😂😂😂!!
Congrats on your journey!!
5 weeks and a few days in.... And I'm being called out for not wrapping that head! 😩😭😭
Even before locs though, my excuse was I always did put a scarf/bandana/bonnet on and wake up in the morning for it to be next to my face 😃😭
I wasn't having it loll. But I'm trying, day by day.
Hahaha it’s okay, every day is a new day start fresh 😂😂 I’m still not perfect with it but I’m trying
@ImSimplyLC I LOVE your earrings...where did you get them? 😍❤️
You're hilarious😂 I lost it at thumbs. New sub!
You had me at lint mob 😭🧡✨
🤣🤣🤣
Hey hey I'm new here. So happy i found your channel. We have a similar hair texture and both started with 2 strand twist. I'm 1 year and 3 months in and I'm loving it. I did notice that with my texture the length of the 2 strand twist sections are taking longer to loc in comparison to persons with looser texture. Your hair is a perfect rep of what's going on with mines.
OMG! The lint scares me. I’m considering loc’s, thanks for the video.
It was the lint mob that made me hit subscribe you are silllly 😂😂 love the video
Hahaha!! Thank you for joining the squad!!! 🤎🤎
Thank you, I just started my locs journey and this is really helpful and will be beneficial for me❤
“When you’re laying in that bed, think of me..not like that”😂😂
My aunts Loc’s comes pass her but, they are full and healthy the the crazy part is she never wraps her hair at night she doesn’t oil or moisturize, she only washes if she gets a retwist which is about every three months, she does NOTHING to her hair
I’ve had my locs for 5 months now and for the last 3 months I’ve been doing exactly this. Lol only because life is so hectic I be happy to even get a bath at the end of the night 😂😂 but that’s so nice to hear hopefully I’ll be the same
Great video! Thanks for the advice! ❤️❤️❤️
Started my loc journey today 😊 I laughed so much throughout this video you are so funny lol and very helpful biting my nails off now lol
This was great! I’m only 3 months in but so far so good 🤣
I just started conditioning my hair after 8 months into my journey because my hair was always dry.
Thank you 🙏🏽 sooo much for the tips ima start mine myself your locs are gorgeous following you 💕
I am nearly a year in and I am terrible at wrapping up my locs. I do have my pillows in silk and velvet pillow cases, though! 😅😅😅
Great tips!❤️❤️❤️
It’s the lint mob for me 😂😂
This video was awesome! I had never heard about the nail thing but I learned really quickly! Thanks for sharing🖤
thats nails tip is TRUE ASF i was snaggin the roots lol
Lol!!!! The strugggg!
I use a satin scarf over my pillow. The bonnet & scarf never stayed on my head.
I love this video 😂😂 , the lint mobb😂😂 , thanks for the info , I’m getting ready to start my loc journey 🎉
@@ImsimplyLC alright. I will keep twisting them back than. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your response🥰
You are informative and hilarious and I’m here for both! Your locs are beautiful! Planning to start them on myself soon! So I’m a NOOB…new subscriber!! I’m a Radiologic Technologist, aka xray/CT tech and work overnight so I binge watch videos and I will begin bingeing yours now!
Thank you for the info , I agree with you about the nails and also the earrings . I keep pulling my hair from my earrings, I said wait a minute this is my real hair.

Haha! Love it!
Thank you for all the tips and you fine I have no problem thinking about you ☺️
The lint mob!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your hair is so beautiful!! I’m screaming!! 😂
ayeee you from the bay? hahaha lets goo. Started my loc journey, i have no idea what im doing. the girl who did my twists told me to come back after a 2 weeks which was a couple days ago. Then i see this saying i should wait for longer periods before getting one ToT. i have no clue when im supposed to wash them either. Im an athlete aswell so i really sweat... I got a lil dandruff too but the girl who did my dreads said its fine, and to wait 1 week. I oil them nicely everyday but still. i feel like my hair is dirty or stinks. anyways im chilling. just gonna let them dread up on their own while trying not to worry too much
Checking in - how are the locs doing?!
@@ImsimplyLC i took them out.. They would NOT looc up for some reason and i hated going days without washing my hair. i tried everything too but nothing was working. The girl said my hair type doesn't rly work for locs which confused me. I have 3c hair so i didnt understand how my hair couldn't loc up. I just have braids now..
Love this! Thanks sis!
i enjoyed this video so much. im going to go to your videos and hope youre still loccd so i can binge lol
Thanks for the tips babe i need to wrap my hair girl…I just put this bonnet on
Recently I acquired a bad habit. Plucking lint fuzz with a sewing needle out of my locks. It's weird and I know I am tearing them but I can't seem to stop doing it.
my pillowcase and bed sheet are satin and silk. i got tired or wrapping my hair every night lol
The bay understands 🤎
Ayeee! Lol! 😂
Cut your nails!! If you don’t say that louder for the people in the back pew! 😂 ESPECIALLY if you do your own retwists - I recently had to pause one, not because of my nails, but because of wintry 😖 hangnails. Kept snagging my dang roots, y’all! ✂️✂️✂️
iv subbed now , just started this helped, also u have a beautiful personalit
I have never had lint in my locs, I think it’s because I don’t oil my locs I only oil my scalp
Thank you ❤ very informative😊
When I don’t wrap it up. I use my satin pillow case . Sometimes I want my hair to breath at night . So every now and then . I don’t wrap it up .
I love yo personality
