Both lead actors in Green Book deserve the Best-Actor award.
It's so nice to see Viggo on the table. He has an incredible body of work. He does one film in a while but each film of his is so important. Highest regards for him. Since LOTR.
exactly. Great fantasy film. Check. Great post-apocalypse movie. Check. Great biopic drama. Check
if you like viggo as an actor check out eastern promises, you won't regret it i promise
Agreed!! Just rewatched the LOTR trilogy and it’s truly timeless. A benchmark that wouldn’t be as poignant if it wasn’t for deeply dedicated actors/actors like Viggo. It’s not easy to fake passion and commitment. I truly believe that it comes across on screen, and we can sense it as fellow human beings.
xpatzy Its great you’ve watched it but how have you only just got round to it hahahah. Brilliant movies though yeah, recommend reading the books
He'll always be Everett hitch to me
Mahershala could get me to go see anything.A true lover of his craft and colleagues.
I guess you should watch True Detective sn3
You can tell he's well educated in the craft
I love Mahershala so much. I need Hollywood to really give him some leading man roles. His voice, stature, and grace are exquisite
I couldn't agree more ma'am
He has a definitive groove about him
It's a breath of fresh air
My opinion may not mean much but Mahershala may just be the single most talented actor I've seen since Daniel Day Lewis. Loved Mahershala since I first saw him on House of Cards.
This man was made to play Blade. I know it's just a comic book character, but he will so slay that role that it is not even funny.
Nostalgic Bliss he’s already a marvel character!
True Detective Season 3, Mahershala is the lead.
It is awesome to watch Ali command a room. Even Galloway stopped interrupting for a minute.
Because he's already a highly accomplished actor that's been doing it for well over a decade now. The guy really knows what he's talking about.
YAASSS!!
He did the impossible
It actually seems that gallowey didn’t interrupt at this round table in general, as of the other videos show
That is quite the accomplishment
Did someone tell Galloway to chill? I was so used to him interrupting I was confused for a second.
lol don't jinx it
Victor K. They’ve always uploaded small segments first then later lost the full version.
Woooorddddd hahaha like fo real! he has like a sixth sense to cut off ppl like almost on cue when an artist is already elaborating a proper insightfull answer to a question he be like "but you this or did you that" broo fo real! hahaha
Something I have just noticed that he always first tries to "handshake" people in a formal way but they always hug him warmheartedly. First I noticed at Oscars with Viggo when he won and then here with Hugh Jackman at 3:27 People keep hugging him and this tells how much love and respect they have for Ali.
I genuinely enjoy listening to this man talk.
Gotta love Mahershala Ali & every actor who truly act because they love the work & not the paycheck. 👊👏👏👏
and as soon as he got name recognition, he did battle angel alita and signed up with mcu for blade. Everybody loves money, this guy included.
The fact that he blatantly said he doesn't just show how phony he is.
ian wong at this point in his career? I doubt it. That's not to say he doesn't care at all but I do believe that he values the quality of the work over the paycheck.
Richard Grant sitting over there looking like a charismatic villain lmao
Ahahahahaha
Was he in the movie?
@@justgivemethetruth Which movie?
justgivemethetruth lol yeah...what movie? These actors are from several different movies lol
It's the coat hes wearing gives that impression.
Great Roundtable - every actor listened and there were no egos on the table, no one vying for attention .Marheshala Ali and Viggo Mortensen are so well-spoken and charismatic.
zomska what defines charisma??
Mahershala is so brilliant in Greenbook, better than he was in moonlight. There will be no reason he doesn’t win the Oscar
The fact that a actors not seeing their families is so normalized is... weird to me.
And I don't blame the actors, but Hollywood needs to be aware that 16 hours of work a day is just not healthy. Specially for the crew of workers that don't get that much money.
As someone who works in the business amen to that Brother. On the very few projects that work decent hours it comes from the top. Usually the director or Lead Actor. Spike Lee does 8 hour days. I hear Speilberg works light days as well. That's because they have lives outside of work and when they get to set they are prepared and know what they want. I wish more directors and or lead actors would make more of an effort to make sure reasonable hours are the norm and crazy hours are the rare exception.
@@bigsnap5 Hey, great to read the point of view of someone who works there! I really hope this problem will be something that gets more attention in the years to come.
@@bigsnap5 To be fair Spike Lee and Steven Spielberg are masters of the art lol they walk in and know instantly what they want and where they want it... That's not something most directors can do without thinking about it
Viggo Mortensen 😍 He's simply amazing. So eloquent, so handsome...
I have admired him for more than 15 years now.
@@payalgupta7776 he's the ultimate dude. Hunks will come and go, but his eloquence, charm and personality will be just unbeaten.
He should be king
Steifrost Aisblasti he is, King of Gonder!
"He doesn't need to go on this journey. He chooses to go on this journey." There's a quiet heroism in Don Shirley. I loved this movie so much.
#GreenBook
Viggo Mortensen is just so talented and interesting. One of the finest actors out there, and there is no Hollywood bs with him ;)
He just ACTED in answering the question mind on 🔥. Viggo is bea “ A History of Violence” is one of my all time favorite ❤️❤️❤️
His voice is so amazing!!!
A massive congratulations to "Green Book" for winning the Oscar for Best Picture, "Green Book." The movie was exceptionally & brilliantly done! ... Mahershala Ali has a history of giving excellent performances in whatever character he portrays. Congratulations to him for wining his second Oscar, this time for his excellent portrayal of Dr. Donald Shirley, in Green Book. He & Viggo Mortensen, who also received a nomination, were made for this movie. I'm so sure they will become lifelong friends... Congratulations again! ❤
Two excellent actors. Can't wait to see 'Green Book'.
Hoping Mahershala gets his second win because he had even more to offer this time.
Nah, there are some other repeat nominees that need a chance
Victor K. It doesn’t matter. Mahershala Ali is the front runner and he will win his second Oscar
I hope he gets his second and Viggo gets his first.
V B He won! :D
Mahershala has quickly become one of my favorite actors
My love for Viggo knows no bounds
Same 😁😁 he's sooo amazing
This is a real artist here
Bruh, his top fade is freeeeesssshhhh.
Mahershala Ali=An enigmatic presence personified!
great carisma he has... love how everyone pays close attention to everything he says.
Mahershala Ali is one of the best actors I have ever seen.
What an PHENOMINAL movie Green Book was.
Chadwick doesn't look 41 at all
Viggo 😍🔥👏✌️
Fantastic actor and sexy man.
this was an excellent interview
I would be in a trance if I had to listen to Mahershala Ali speak everyday! #LAWWWD 😍😍😍😍
These two artists are so talented and perfect gentlemen! Just very talented and hope they do something else in the future!
Mahershala Ali is a magnificent actor. Love this brother.
All of these guys here are great actors as well.
Viggo ugh I'd marry him.
Megan Hughes Line forms behind me, Megan. I've been crushing on him since ' GI Jane'
I would also marry him, what a man...🤤
Since Indian Runner for me.
Mahershala Ali is talented, dedicaded, well-spoken, smart and an elegant man. How many of these we have lost because of racism? How many could have contributed and change the history of art but wasn't allowed to make it? Thinking about that always makes me sad, but i feel glad that this is changing.
All I can think of is how much Chadwick Boseman was probably suffering during this round table, but still showed up anyway. We miss you dude. RIP.
Where is the entire interview?
Two wonderful actors. Cant wait to see this movie!!
I watched Green Book last night what a sublime film. As for Mahershala this guy is a supreme Denzel like talent. And the way he talks about his craft wow!! 👏🏾
Mahershala Ali could play a phone book and I'd watch it. He's exceptional! Loved him in 'House of Cards'. Loved him in 'Moonlight' and loving him in 'True Detective' season 3.
I'v ereally admired Mortensen for a long time. This movie really elevated my appresiation of Ali. Two great actors.
Viggo Mortesen meritava l'Oscar !!
Mahershala is such a deep man. I admire him ❤️
Mahershala is a great actor and is amazing at articulating the view from the actor’s perspective
chadwick's responses are so cute haha I LOVE THIS ROUNDTABLE
He is so elegant and well put.
Ali and Mortensen... Could listen to their voices forever.
Every actor i absolutely love!!
What a gem of an artist this man is! All of them around this table!
Omg his high voice is so real
This episode is going to be so good. 😩
Look at that round table, so many great talent
Before watching this I never really gave much thought as to the ratio of work required in researching and building a character ready for the camera. These actors did a tremendous job in Green Book, I loved the film and I look forward to watching Mr Ali and Mr Mortensen many more times. Directors should be forming a queue to hire them.
Talent at this table...wow!!
Such a great and very powerful movie. I loved it.
So rich & to the point discussion
Mahersharla and Viggo wonderful wonderful amazing human beings and the GREEN BOOK FABULOUS and Kodos to you special men ❤💫😍
Pure genius, the film was extremely important, pulling together, boy do we need that, great job men.
where can i find the whole full interview of this session? this channel doesn't seem to have it..
Great bit.
that voice change, maaaan. Skills!!
BEYOND AMAZING BEAUTIFUL 💗 AND SPIRIT AND SOULS OF ACTORS AND MOVIE WITHIN THIS... UNBELIEVABLE!!!! YOU CAN'T EVEN HELP BUT TO LOVE IT THAT MUCH!!! I'VE LOST COUNT AS TO HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE SEEN IT @ HOME ... LOVE IT THIS MUCH!!!
Yes!
Where is this entire roundtable video?
My looooooooooooooooooves
In the thumbnail he looks like a younger Wesley Snipes...how about we get a remake/continuation of the Blade series...
Mahershala would be wasting his time with a series like Blade.
@@joemckim1183 why?
@@joemckim1183 Because, why would he wanna work out and diet for over a year? Not enough money is worth all that unless you're young and hungry...Blade is a young man's role...for someone young and hungry to prove themselves. MA has won ACTING nominations and awards. If he did this and his agent was against it I would quit as his agent. If his agent recommended he took Blade I would fire the agent! Ask Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Jai White and any number of other actors that transitioned to major acting franchises. These guys, for the most part were in their early 30's when they did these roles. MA is in his early 40's! Come on now! Think about it.
That’s a waste of talent
Never noticed it till u mentioned it...🤔
Great actors, legends both past and futureproof, both intellectuals. their on a differ ent lvl with the rest
T'challa ready to throw hands this whole interview
I fucking love Mahershala Ali so much.
I think we FOUND THE NEW BLADE!!!!! Yes sir. love the new hair cut. We are like twins.
the gold(?) lav mic on Chadwick looks lux as fuck
THIS MAN is gonna be the main actor in the 3rd season of True Detective!!!
*Ali is one of the new great talents in acting, but the funny thing is that for more of the people he's recognized for been the villain in DareDevil Netflix series*
He was in Luke Cage. The best part of the first season of that show.
I respect the man this man played, an I respect this man for the job he did playing the man that I respect. I like the line in the movie genius is not enough you need courage to do what he did! And where he did it!
After seeing this movie, what I wanted to know is who the hell was playing the piano ... it was really amazing!?
I think Mahershala Ali is one of the most brilliant actors working today. Love his work. That said, I saw the documentary of Dr. Shirley after having viewed Green Book and was shocked about his choices in portraying him. I'm glad he addressed his decision to not employ Dr. Shirley's high-pitched voice but feel it robbed the audience of dealing with the truth of who Dr. Shirley was as an obviously gay man living in the '60's. But that's Hollywood for ya...
That movie was great. A great Americana movie.
Great movie top 1
Mahershala was remarkable in the movie, oddly they nominated him for Supporting Actor when clearly he was one of the two leads in the film. He won Supporting Actor and deserved to but why wasn't he nominated for Best Actor?
The Green Book was a Good movie
Rest in Peace
I didn't see Wolverine in Green Book.
This will get the best pic in Academy
Magershala surely knows how to pick a movie to be in
Why is Ali’s eye red in the thumbnail
Rest well Chadwick Boseman
🌹🌹🌹🌹🍁🌹🌹🌹🌹
Chadwick 😢
Now I understand why he cast for Blade
All I can say is they picked the right actors to do this movie anybody else in the roles would’ve messed it up
REMY MY GUY!!
it's impossible to not like viggo haha
So you’re telling me that’s not John Stewart and Blade rolled into one?
👍👍👍👍
Chadwick..💔
imagine that voice as blade
Cottonmouth Stokes, Logan, Aragorn and T'Challa walk into a bar....
I can see Mahershala as the next Blade. What does everyone else think?
well you called it.
