- I thought it would be fun to try and beat Lingering Will in a sort of challenging way. Level 1 was out of question so this was the next best thing.
Proud Difficulty, Level 99
Keyblade used was the Stick (Sweet Memories)
I deselected all Combo and Air Combo Pluses, Combo Boosts and Berserk Charge.
No Drive Forms allowed.

The funniest part to me is just the dull *thunk* of the stick hitting him, paired with the chip damage. Peak comedy.

Ventus have Wooden key blade ,Sora have wooden sword, Roxas have a Stick
Stick do be the superior weapon of choice.

@@zonic3009 lol that’s funny and sad because Terra is so consumed he doesn’t know who’s who… damn terra had it the worst.
I should note: Lingering Will is supposedly canonically blind, iirc

I mean... if Terra fought Xehanort or anyone else really with the moveset he has as Lingering Will he would probably decimate half the KH characters

so i'm not the only one who gives the enemy a sec to regain their footing after fighting yozora. good to know that the muscle memory for resetting RV despite the strat not working here isn't just a me thing.
My issue was that he was retaliating a lot more when i didn't let him, regain his footing, as you said. This makes it a lot easier for me as well
@@zonic3009 huh, so it DOES work, he probably loses a couple of hits worth of RV when he's allowed a sec then, likely how you can get that extra beefy extra combo finisher come to think of it...
@@thehumanstunlock7588If I don't do that, either he is pushed upward and manages to get out of my combo to retaliate or I do an air combo and by the time he falls on the ground to to another combo, most of the time he has his super armor back.
I love the way this boss makes you think about how you play to be more efficient.

Does anyone else realize Donald actually shouts Roxas's name when healing him? I didn't know that was a thing.
Also, even with the stick, I feel like you still do more damage than Donald and Goofy combined thanks to the damage increasing as the combo goes on.
Yup, both Goofy and Donald shout Roxas name due to the mod. Roxas is one of my favorite characters in the series so i really like how in depth the mod goes. It's the tiny little details!

The mod is more of a "what if" scenario. What if Sora and Roxas roles were reversed.

Roxas:"I have no place for style, I'll just kick everyone's butt."(Including Sora's. It is easy to forget, but Roxas still won the actual physical fight. Just that Sora has a higher affinity for actually understanding keyblades, which saved his butt.)
Why didnt he summon his ship? And those missle projectiles
It took me close to three weeks to fully learn his pattern. I only ever did three combos in a row right? Meaning i never hit his revenge value. That way he doesn't change his pattern. Also from the start of the battle he will only ever use the first attack he did (most of the time) and the same happens when I hit the 6th bar and when he does his DM move.
Fucking DODGE SLASH!?
I really don't get why everyone is so surprised about me using dodge slash... I said this on another comment already but i usually put most of the abilities on like a madman...
