My name is ShadyRiku & welcome to Kingdom Hearts Deleted Content.
In this video I showcase all the Deleted Content that I could find for Kingdom Hearts (PS2, 2002). Deleted Content just means anything that was planned to be included in the game at one point or another during it's development, but ultimately never made it into the final game.

Love these videos! Thanks for the great work!
the thing at 32:29 was eventually used in Re:Chain of Memories.
Unused To Our Surprised + unused Trumpet.
Regarding Chernabog...VERY EARLY in development, Chernabog was meant to be the true villain and evil mastermind of KH1, but Nomura and Disney eventually decided to create an original character as the main villain, aka Ansem. However, they still wanted to incorporate Chernabog into the game, and they even considered having Chernabog be Ansem's final boss form (after he would absorb all of the darkness to become all powerful). But they eventually decided against that too.
If this was actually a discarded idea or plot thread, then it must have been reused for the Shadow Blot in Epic Mickey, since the Blot assumed a Chernabog-like design in the final stages of the game.
This makes SO much sense though.
Imagine the Night on Bald Mountain section from Fantasia but with various Heartless designs instead of ghosts, imps, and demons.
I mean, Chernabog casting his shadow over the land is what causes the spirits to come forth too like you literally see his hands come down the mountain in a shadow form the same way that the Heartless can meld into shadows in the ground.
There's no way anybody could convince me the original idea wasn't to have Chernabog be the boss of the Heartless.
Can anyone tell why Chernabog is not in Jimmy's Journal?
Source?
@@pikachufrankie I wish I could remember the source exactly, but it was from a translated Japanese magazine from like 2002-2004
1:14:01 The Japanese subtitles for the lines “Come on, guys! We’ve got to save Sora” and “Please, Sora… Don’t go” are a little clearer than their English translations. The first one is 「みんな!ソラを消しちゃダメだ!」and more literally translates to, “Everyone! We can’t let (them) erase/extinguish Sora!” The verb is specifically transitive, which implies someone acting upon Sora. The manner of speech befits Goofy or Donald.
The other line「お願い… 消えないで。」 translates more literally as “Please… don’t disappear.” I think you’re exactly right about this being a line from Kairi. I’m guessing it’s meant to be from the scene where he unlocks his heart.
The Disney's Atlantis world would have served a purpose in the KH lore by showing comparison between the Heart of Atlantis and Kingdom Hearts, two sources of light which potentially could destroy the world if fallen as weapons to the wrong hands. Plus, there would have been a possibility that Leonard Nimoy (Master Xehanort's original voice actor) would have voiced King Kashekim Nedakh of Atlantis once again.
There was also a rumor of Gargoyles-themed world that would have appeared in Kingdom Hearts 1 as well, as I had once checked in the wiki of deleted content of KH. This was mostly a hint of from a Gargoyles' con panel, where they revealed the possibility of a world within the KH universe.
If I remember correctly, even the people who worked on the Gargoyles show didn't know why it didn't work out
Where did you hear that first half.
Picking Tarzan in kh1 instead of Jungle Book was a good choice because we still have a chance to get Jungle Book. But we will probably never get Tarzan again due to rights issues. The Walt Disney statue may have been planned to be in the place that the Lady and the Tramp statue is. As for the Western World maybe it was the Apple Dumpling Gang lol idk.
I can't believe our family friendly shady friend made a video that ISN'T a guide! This is what I've been expecting since god knows how long, awesome!
Thanks very much glad you enjoyed :)
So... Are you expecting the guide guy to not make guides? 🙄
@@honella7146 Not at all, randomly angry commenter friend. It's that our guy ShadyRiku is so freaking talented, I used to drool for any different video from him! And ta daa! A great video!
Interestingly enough the sentient slabs in Monstro at 32:30 make an appearance in Re: Chain of Memories' version of Monstro, and it does attack Sora. Killing it will grant HP orbs.
They are also in bbs
Man gutted that Kairi was planned to have way more personality initially, I did always think she had a bit more sass or personality in 1 and then subsequently became very mellowed out and maybe the way more animated intentions for the trio in the early drafts survived a little bit for her
Exaggerated animations doesn't tell me more personality.
@@alwaysabiggafish3305 but it help noneless
It drives me insane that she's still just "girl" and they haven't done a thing with her. Even when she's the main character in Melody of Memory she's used as a tool to search her memory for leads on where Sora disappeared to, and when they get a lock on his location she's like "I wanna go help!" and the fuckin Fairy Godmother of all characters is like "no stay here and keep training"
I'd rather her have been ACTUALLY killed off in KH3 than continually being sidelined for no goddamn reason
I found it really hilarious how in the lost test animation for a Kingdom Hearts animated show from 2003, Kairi straight up just KARATE KICKS a heartless with her bare feet.
KH1 Kairi was just built different
Good thing the manga exists a lot of characters lacking in personality like Kairi and Xion get it in spades
The keyhole on the door was removed becaus only Riku was suposed to see it.
1:07:00
I did my own investigation, and I think the knucklehead that originally discovered this "unused" song actually made a mistake while doing some data mining.
The specific track used for combat in Wonderland is called "BGM 118", and the corresponding instruments it uses for the track is referred to as "WD 118" in the files. Upon taking BGM 118 and applying the instruments used for Deep Jungle's non-combat music, referred to as "WD 101" in the files, it makes the song sound _exactly_ as it was demonstrated here in the video.
I also explored the other tracks in the game's files and didn't find any other collection that produced said music. I can't say for sure what might have happened, and I don't say this as an insult, but I think whoever claimed that was an unused song either wrongly configured their playback software and thought they uncovered cut content, or they wrongly reported this "discovery" in bad faith just to see if their false report would go unnoticed.
bro if what you said is true this comment needs more attention!
Sounds a bit like the removed Deep Jungle music that was planned for Chain of Memories
Alway such banger getting to know so much Informations of the game that i love for almost my whole life
Glad you enjoyed :)
I would suggest you do not take that Ariel comment too seriously. IMDB, like Wikipedia, can be edited by anyone. Remember, this was the same site that used to put fake voice actors for character on KH3's page back in 2013-15. Since dedicated fan sites/wikis have covered and translated these materials from Ultimania and this is not stated anywhere but IMDB, you should not use it in future videos imo. Point is, never trust IMDB.
Please don't take this as me criticizing your content entirely, this video is really really good. I just wanted to take the time to tell you for any future videos like this.
What people forget is IMDB and Wikipedia quickly clean up edited content without sources. It doesn't seem unlikely.
@alwaysabiggafish3305 IMDB doesn't really. You can go to lots of movie pages and just find tons of incorrect info or just straight-up trash memes in a description lmao. Trust me on this.
I'm pretty sure this is another case of Dark Thorn being based on Ifrit from FFX with a fake Nomura quote. It's easy for false info to go around, especially if it's from the early 2000s internet.
Thank you for the uploads sir!!! One of the dopest KH channels out there!!
To our suprise unused sounds very old final fantasy.
Great Video!!
Whenever I think I've finally learned everything there is to know about this game, something new keeps coming to light! This game is just a gift that keeps giving 😍😍
32:38 These things appeared in Kingdom Hearts Re:CoM, right? I remember they would drop orbs if you hit them, maybe cards, too
they also appear in the monstro fight in BBS and can attack you
The early darkside to me looks like it could’ve had roots from the pink elephants from Dumbo
hope Atlantis and Treasure Planet get put in a Kingdom Hearts game some day
Wow, I thought I knew it all, but I actually learned quite a bit here!
Thank you my friend, glad you enjoyed 😎
Awesome brother, awaiting this one for a while and it didn’t disappoint! Great work👍
Cut and unused content is always an interesting topic to cover when it comes to games, and it's always nice to see vids like this that show off all of them in one place. great work man.
It still insane just how much KH1 in general has so much details/secret, they really cooked in the oven for the game, too bad later games required us to play an rhythm/mobile game to know the story now
and given how tarzan was lost forever, no, even with gals like jane didn't save the choice - I'm surprise jungle book goes as far back as kh1, since we all know of bbs -
The arts for the old world look so much cool, even better than Kh3, I also like not knowing the world when flying to them, too bad trailers now spoiled of all it - like 85% of kh 3 -
37:39 and sit still being postponed, rip kairi
Thank you Shady!
Thanks to you I could finally, FINALLY achieve KH1 Platinum on PS5.
Your synthesis helped me to craft ultima, your abilities guide helped me which beggining weapon is the best to begin with, and your newest clock tower helped me to beat proud mode on less than 15 hours( I beat with 11) because of the defense and ap up item. I am very grateful to you.
Mega effort by ShadyRiku! Amazing video thank you so much for the hard work that went into this
Your very welcome :)
Actually some of the Ultimanias /have/ been translated and printed in English. I think they still sell them on Amazon.
I have been eagerly awaiting your next video. we'll done 😊
Thanks :)
Sephiroth did NOT first appear in Final Mix.
He first appeared in the Localized Version of Kingdom Hearts on the PS2, along with the Ice Titan and Kurt Zisa (Phantom was in the Original Japanese Version of PS2 Kingdom Hearts, and Xemnas was the ONLY Secret Boss that Final Mix Introduced).
really love kingdom hearts concept art.(especially the ones showing sora, donald, goofy interacting with the disney heroes & those comical expressions of the destiny trio the manga/shelved cartoon really feels like a respect to in hindsight. :3)
with the "boss of the heartless" i do remember hearing chernabog was going to be the origin of the darkness/disney villains in the series likely as the true final boss after maleficent & possibly ansem's(maybe him trying to control it only for chernabog to squash him/mickey's disney light striking him like the church bell's in the original.) defeat.(would love this concept brought back making the spring sprite & firebird the focal point of light/darkness with how fantasia 2000 was going to be in ddd)
wish the disney heroes plotline had gotten used as for some like aladdin would've been nice seeing them reunite/remember fan works that'd have the summons support sora & think 3 should've had a moment like this in it's finale.
think the series alongside bringing back the characters more should have final fantasy summons maybe having you fight them to get them like earlier ff.(could've had in the behemoth's reappearance in end of the world spot.)
Hope this video blows up bro! Great info
Funny how the unused version of "To Our Surprise" sounded kind of trippy and psychedelic, considering Alice and Wonderland really appealed to stoner culture when rereleased in the 70s.
Kind of makes me think the smoking caterpillar was meant for the game, and this variant of music played during the segment.
Knowing what I knew about KH when I played it, which I admit was just a bit more than the typical kid at the time, I agree with you re: Oblivion.
Finding Oblivion there felt like finding a secret, I wanted to ask "Did they know they left this great keyblade here?".
And given it happens right after the RikuAnsem fight, you have to remember that for everyone playing for the first time, Hollow Bastion was where shit got real. Kid gloves were off. So that entire world is very vivid for most, it was emphasized heavily in our playthroughs, so finding Oblivion there naturally created a subconscious link to Riku.
So yeah, I'm sure they left it there in reference to it being a parallel to Oathkeeper being analogous to Kairi
To our Surprise unused version is my favorite, seconded by the original with trumpet. Also "Come on guys we gotta go save Sora" also sounds like something Riku would say before being influenced by Ansem or after rejecting Ansem and Sora possibly being in his shadow form or captured by ansem as well similar to KH DDD. that's my little head cannon at least.
The “To Our Surprise unused version” is actually fake. The person who went in the games files configured it wrong.
Keep up these amazing videos
Donald & Goofy (8:58) I always thought that the ourfits at the end fo KH1 are their casual clothing. The clothes at the castle are their duty clothes and the original KH zipper clothes are their travel clothes.
Maybe your best video uet. Keep up the great KH1 content!
Thank you so much for doing this! May you also please do this for all of the other kingdom hearts games as well? :-) Would be truly gratefully appreciated! :-)
Omfg this is amazing!! 🎉
Great video, keep it up!
I think the dont go line fits well with kairi at the end of kh 3.
In kh 1 it would have fit earlier too or when Sora turns into a heartless as it shows how afraid she is of change.
In kh 3 it would be more about him dieing
28:57 if you look closely to the upper floor,it seems like this area was loocated below the boss battle happening 28:18. Maybe a second stage battle would have occured after the floor "crumbling" down? I don't know, anyway, you put a lot of effort by doing this compilation. You're really amazing :P
I'm reasonably sure based on some KH 1.5 research, that theres a flag in the Olympus coliseum with a cut "enemy" type, and a cut lantern.
The enemy is a mine, the lantern is a wooden lantern.
both textures look PS2-riffic, even on ps3.
The only reason I call the mine an enemy type is because it does do 1 damage.
not sure if that helps at all though.
Thanks for posting the video :)
I love the alternates and merging of to our surprise!
Underrated bit but including where you got your sources made this an enjoyable watch
Bruh Kingdom Hearts was called kingdom of hearts?! I used to have a big crush on this guy who was a Kingdom Hearts fan and would call it tht and id correct him saying it wasnt called tht. He was right all this time 😭😭😭😭
😭
I have not known anything about you or your videos prior to this one, but I will say this video seems to be popping off in the algorithm.
Been recommended this particular video several times, and I just keep seeing the views increasing every time I check back.
Commenting to hopefully boost this further :)
They should use jungle book for future games since they can't use Tarzan anymore
So slight clarification: Rikku was never supposed to be part of Leon's group at Traverse Town before she got cut. Not sure where you got that idea I've never heard anything about debates and changes regarding Yuffie's role. Rikku's original role was that of Selphie. You are correct though that Rikku was replaced due to her name similarity with Riku (though they're pronounced very differently (rick vs reek)). The changes with the roster of Leon's group were a debate on Aerith or another character but honestly I can't remember who the alternate idea was.
Update: Aya from Parasite Eve was the character I was thinking of. You covered that literally like a minute after I typed my initial comment lmao
Yo such an entertaining video I loved it!
Just wanted to say I think you should make a short on this topic, I found a glitch in Prankster's Paradise in KH3D as Riku where theres a specific wall in the last chamber (I think) where you use a dash attack like Sliding Dash or Fire Dash, and you'll legit clip through the wall and fall into the floor but dw you can legit walk back in bounds and you'll be fiiine
I really want this glitch to become more well known in the community, I found it in 2014 on the 3DS and I@ve never seen anyone talk about it ! The glitch is still in the 2.8 Remaster too lmaoo
IIRC, the "bacteria thing" that would've been in monstro returns in BbS's Mirage Arena Monstro fight.
i wish the developers could have just had time to make the game they wanted to make. the inclusion of a parasite eve character would have been so cool
18:42 Some ideas. It very well could have been for a world based on an unproduced version of Home on the Range called Sweatin' Bullets, about Cattle Rustling Ghosts, Or maybe based on Melody Time / Make Mine Music segment called: Pecos Bill? Long shot but maybe Davy Crockett? Happy to hear what you think.
Davy Crockett actually seems like the most likely of all these. I don't think Square would be foolish enough to try to work with the Home on the Range team to try to synergize the KH world with the in-development movie, especially since they were merging with Enix at the time and working with Disney proper, so they already had enough outside influence to deal with.
Davy Crockett on the other hand was well-established and EXTREMELY popular during the mid 20th century, it would have been much easier to plan and implement. My guess is that it was cut early on because Davy Crockett's popularity was pretty short-lived and was quickly overshadowed by Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and the Disney Renaissance movies much later in the 90s. So it would be like putting in a Mary Poppins world.
I was told Chernibog was the final boss of the game .
Wassup there with another banger such a great way of expanding your kh content but why you don’t try to add kh 2.5 guide as its much better or nearly as good as 1.5?
Don’t worry I will eventually ;)
On the topic of field maps; the guide lists the Dimensional Maps as the parts you traverse in a ship. while the Field Maps, the ones with minibosses and enemies and minigames and such, those seem to be the normal levels
I wonder... They probably let the princesses cross over and meet each other because of the Disney princess brand. That seems like it's own separate thing where they're okay with showing them together in promotional stuff. Same with the villains. They are very marketable and sometimes do cross overs. Like in Mickey's House of Villains. But I guess they had to draw a line somewhere?
Fantasia (the original I believe) was also plan to be in the original kingdom hearts as a world as well :-)
Oh wow an alt version of one of my favorite tracks from KH 👀❗️❗️❗️ i actually like it. My guess is maybe it could be used in Bizarre rooms when its upside down. Also funny you say youd prefer Kairi have a Paopu fruit keychain as thats what Namine disguises Kairis keychain as in Chain of Memories. 😮
the unused To Our Surprise is fake & was a mistake made by the person who messed up the BGM & WD sound files.
As a fan of behind the scenes stuff and Kingdom Hearts, I will be watching this later 🙏
I did always like that Donald and Goofy were in their casual outfits at the end, it made it feel like the quest really was over for now, because why else would they change?
But embarrassingly, I never noticed how their Disney Castle outfits were different from their main game outfits... Can't say why, but I just never realized until you pointed it out.
48:04 My initial reaction to this part:
Excuse me?????
"Or what you guys call erasers"
...oh
😂😂
Regarding the western world I don’t think it was intended to be a Disney world at all, from the oldest posting I can find with this image (Disney Insider through Wayback Machine in 2012) there are a few other designs and another world which do not seem to match other in game world concepts.
I think it was meant so show how a world could look and was before they established making worlds based on a game or specific theme, to that end it could have been Wild West or even like Davey Crockett themed, but I think the point of this was more to show how the worlds could appear from space and be themed than to be a specific one at that point.
I wish they kept Kairi's motherly traits and her smacking a heartless. She could have had personality...
The western style world could be based on the original concept for home on the range bc that movie had been through so many changes from its original concept
I actually really like the idea of Sora and the other princes of their worlds saving their princesses. Like maybe Sora and co. have to assist each prince with a task to save the respective princess.
Those disney like concept designs are so fucking cool, so much character and personality. i love them
Is there going to be a Kingdom Hearts 2 cut content video?
Ngl I think I prefer the more expressive and cartoony designs for the Destiny Islands trio. I think they could have worked to make that coexist with mature storytelling. If anytning it could have been ahead of its time. But idk, I'm also naturally more biased towards goofier (pun intended) art.
I always figured that the classic outfits for Donald and Goofy in the "CoM prologue" cutscene was kind of just to signify a break in the adventure. I always liked to think about what playable characters in games would do as downtime betwee the adventuring.
With how Aerith was flanderized over the years, I honestly would vastly have preferred Aya's inclusion in this game.
Happy that Toy Story finally got a role in KH even if it took so long.
The rescuing Prince idea is neat but whomst would Alice's Prince be? The Hatter?
I'm constantly in awe over how cool some of this concept art is. I would love for the dinosaur heartless and distorted Oogie Boogie to be real.
I always used to think it was weird that there were no FF summons. I'm so bummed about Bahamut now.
The cartoony expressive characters would’ve ruined the Disney/Final Fantasy mix as Disney characters were meant to take the goofy side. Plus it would’ve messed up Sora & Riku’s dynamic.
Aya would’ve been a better inclusion, yes.
The rescuing Prince idea seems really stupid as their hearts were already taken away & is absorbed into the heart keyblade used by Riku-Ansem.
Why would FF summons co-exist with Disney Summons? doesn’t make much sense as the story behind the gems where the Disney worlds getting destroyed & their strong hearts getting turned into gems. Plus 5/6 of the summons are Disney
I find it really interesting that To Our Surprise would have an isolatiom of just a trumpet line left in the code, and then in Chain of Memories Wonderland would introduce a Heartless thats a sentient trumpet that can rally or summon other heartless by, well, trumpetting. Makes me wonder if it was intended to be in the first game, but was cut due to time constraints.
I can't remember for sure, but I kind of remember hearing about problems involving copyright or something with the tarzan one, so if that is true the jungle book would have been a better choice, however it was very unlikely for them to predict that.
The keyhole on the destiny island door was visible to riku in the one cutscene where sora and him are walking out of the room and riku turns around to stare at the door. I forget if this was a final mix cutscene or not but its cool because it shows that riku really was the chosen one for the keyblade before he fell to darkness and sora accidently got it
For enemies dinosaur skeleton, it could have been a from the pride lands that ended up excluding, but brought back that same heartless for KH2 pride lands.
For Halloween town guillotine, they did end up making their idea of making it move in KH2
Regarding the Keyhole on the door in the Secret Place, it IS used in-game. It's in a flashback Riku has of just after he and Sora investigate a noise when they are little.
That scrapped line you brought up from Riku where Sora then goes on to attack him feels very odd, doesn't it?
I wonder if he was supposed to already have been possessed at this time?
that western world could have been based on either Home on the Range, a disney movie about cows, or even C.O.W.boys of Moo Mesa...this one thinks. Forget if disney owned the rights yet at the time.
Or it could have even been an original world like Destiny Islands or Traverse Town. Or perhaps based on older westerns disney may have held the rights to. Heck, it could have even just been a very early world design done without any clear intention of what it'd be based on. Not totally unlike the desert section of the Little Planet display in Sonic CD
EDIT: you beat this one to it, and it probably wasn't in development, you're right. Depending on where the rights were at the time, though, Moo Mesa might still be an option and would be the weirdest choice.
Though if it was based on frontierland, having worlds based on the different parts of Disney Land woulda been cool. Especially if they included some of TOmorrowland's best exibits and attractions.
The Crumbling Island kinda has a Cavern Of Remembrance feel.
Can we just appreciate how gorgeous this concept art is my gods 29:27
I do admit I remember someone commenting on a video that Elsa was going to be the villain for the Frozen world, but there was something about Elsa in that early story that counterdicted Frozen 2 which was in development at the same time. It probably had to do with the sage thing.
When asked where he heard that from he said he read it in an article but can't remember where it was from. If anyone has anything on the article please let me know. I am curious about that part.
I can only assume Yuffie would have been a FF character somewhere in a Disney world. Given that other non-FF characters were planned (a whopping decade before TWEWY joined) to appear, I can only assume more FF characters were spread out than just Cloud and Sephi in Hercules. A thief like Yuffie could have appeared anywhere, really. Maybe even a half-hearted antagonist who quickly has a change of heart.
32:42 Probably already pointed out, but these things were in future entries (Chain of Memories, Birth by Slep's arena and DDD's Prankster's Paradise), I had no idea they were here all along
Sounds like the unused "to our surprise was supposed to be paired with the trumpet.
Woody’s Roundup being a forgettable part of the movie (my favourite movie no less……😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡) WTH?!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Will you do this for the other KH games?
ironically those lines in the beta trailer about sora disappering in needing saving so crazily fits in with what young xehanort tells sora in kh3...it'd be wild if nomura planned that far ahead lol
No it was probably gonna used in KH1 with Sora dying, but was removed for some reason
46:12 while it's highly likely that chernabog was going to be fought at hollow bastion it's possible too that he was meant to be fought at Disney Castle. Many people came to this conclusion due the the concept art depicting sora's original animalistic design instead of his final which as we've seen before was shown many times in the design doc. But if timeline of the game's development surficed I'd say it's likely the hollow keep where this would take place. There's no proof about either being where this battle was going to take place but would be interesting if the latter was confirmed
interior customisation for the gummi ships would be awesome
So, fun fact on the princesses! They aren't actually looking at each other. They are either captured/asleep, lined up in a row, and when they are gathered in circles, check their eye line. They are looking SLIGHLTY to the right or left of each princess. Alice is the only exception, as she's looking at Snow White's waist. Which is still not particularly interacting.
Actually I don't think they actually address each other either. They mostly just answer or explain things to Sora.
I honestly wouldn't mind to see this game remade with these cut worlds and characters
Aya and Leon together would have been so rad
I feel like it might be worth pointing out that Rikku is properly "Ryukku" in the Japanese text (Katakana: リュック), where "Riku" is as represented in English (Katakana: リク), so I find the idea that she was swapped out being... rather uncertain. Squall was called "Leon" in Kingdom Hearts, and Aerith's name was corrected from "Aeris" (Early concept art does, as I recall, use the -th spelling), so correcting "Rikku" to "Ryukku" would not have been a particularly notable stretch of the imagination.
Also, I love your thoughts on Crumbling Island. I've heard the part about it being a Riku Arena repeated, but it's interesting to see that there isn't any actual evidence for that.
32:45 I know these things would later appear in re Chain of memories, interesting this was a kingdom hearts 1 concept
I would watch the rest after 5 minutes, just can't stand being forced to watch ads.
I did a restoration of that Alice panel at 1:15:00 not too long ago actually! DarkOdin made a KH3 mod of it too to my recollection. It turned out quite good according to those that have seen the final product
15:07 - I heard a funny idea for the end of KH3 before it came out, where Sora ends up meeting Walt Disney in a white void similar to The Matrix
Cool thing is theceveryday aspects like eatin iin a treehouse might be reused in kh 4
The Rikku-Riku thing is actually only applicable in the english version; FFX's Rikku's japanese name is actually "Ryukku" and it is pronounced differently.
Imo, the final traverse town trio simply looked better together.
The King of Hearts might’ve been removed because there’s already a “King of Hearts” in the game. We’ve all seen the game art with Sora on a throne and with a crown and stuff, so if these two characters met, it would’ve been an awkward moment
What time does he talk about it.
45:06 The princesses are allowed to meet because they're their own Disney entity and so are the villains both have separate IP the Disney Princesses™ and the Disney Villains™ but the heroes like Aladdin and Eric don't have that so that could be one of the reasons Disney didn't want them to meet and interact
I feel like they could of leaned more into the animal side of Sora's beta design to differentiate him from Xidane, though I do agree the hair color change was very needed as the early 2000's were too chock full of white haired leads, so making him a brunette was a better choice.
Fun facts
I understand why they used the generic Panel in the Dive into the Heart cause they weren't taken from their worlds yet unlike the other 4 I do wish they silhouettes were more defined to the other Princesses I understand not wanting to Spoil anything but it'd be cool to make the connection later that Kairi was one of the Princesses of Heart
