- Some steps that can help you resolve slow charging issues on your android phone.
In this video, I have demonstrated how you can figure out if the charger is working properly with your phone or not.
I had installed two apps on my phone - Ampere ; and AccuBattery. Both are really good apps. Ampere is a bit simple and if you want more stats then go with AccuBattery.
Demonstrated on Xiaomi Mi 8 but should work on other phones as well.

My phone is slow charging i charged it overnight at 20 and i when i wake up it is 26 only and i used ampere its says 110 mA its so slow charging sometimes it remains the same.
You will need to isolate the issue.
It could be the charging cable but it could also be the charger.
Sometimes it's the phone.

I noticed my phone was so slow at charging these days normally it gets like 20-30% battery at 30mins but now I charged it at 30mins and it only increased the battery by 5%
Check the charging speed using Ampere.
If its around 500mah or less then it's something with the charger/cable.
If its somewhere around 1000mah or higher then maybe it's something to do with the phone.

I did this on my own years before to check my old cables(2.0), and to find out its my charger or the cable itself. I sorted my cables according to its charging speed/resistance. And kept slower ones in my car and fast ones to my charger and other kept in storage box (as an emergency cable+ charger.)

What is the rating of the charger at?
In accubattery it says 800-90 but now it only stays 100 and goes -100+
The average time speed is 46 and wdym rating of the charger? And the charge speed is 20% and it goes 21 22 all the way to 29 then resets on 20%

I have read that the phone should get charged in 2 hours, but maybe you have a slow charger.
In your case do you have a charger that says 5V 1A on it?

Doesn't seem that old of a phone.
Check the charger rating and cable. Those are most likely the culprit.
Charger should be above 1000mA and reading with Ampere should be more than 1000 while charging.

So the charging technology also matters. Maybe your phone supports a different fast charger.

A lot of phones have fast charging when battery is very low but once it's more than half charging can get slower.

Hello sir, I'm using Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Yesterday I found myself that the charging are way too slow. So i downloaded the Ampere app. The reading is 620max-520min. My discharge is at 270max-200min.
Is it normal or my charger / phone is faulty? Need help, it's kinda frustrating.

@@Hanabi276 in some phones the charging speed slows down when phone is about to reach full. Does the charging speed remain slow at 50% as well. And see if you plug-in charging after 1 minute it still is slow speed or not.
@@MOTzTube Ah yes, I charged the phone this morning. it was at 41%, I charged it while turned off. after around 3 hour or so, the charging is at only at 89%. I'm just wondering whether it was adapter or phone faulty.

Yeah the discharging is quite fast. It should be like 400-500 usually.

Maybe try with a new cable.
There is adaptive charging on phones but if it's really slow despite being low on battery then cable seems to be the problem with what you have described.

When you say fast charging stopped, is it still charging slowly?
If the battery is almost fully charged, on most phones the charging slows down.

mine is not consistent, when i started to charge it, it is 1016 mA and when i remove it and charge it again it goes down to 300 and sometimes its 800+. It's so annoying because I don't know why does it go like that, do u know what's the solution to my problem? please reply
The fluctuation might be normal, sometimes the charging speed can vary due to reasons like the phone being hot or when the battery is almost full.

hello sir good day.. im just want to tell about my ampere mesurement i confuse about this... first to use this apps it is a normal red to my ampere average is 600 to 750mah but a few days almost 1600 to 1210mah reach to my ampere it is normal charge to the phone..??
The charging speed can vary sometimes depending on how much your phone is charged. If you have been getting really slow charging speed but it's at 10 percent battery for a few minutes then I would say that's not normal. If battery is at 99 percent and charging speed is slow then that is normal

Most likely it's some app causing battery drainage.
You need to look at the battery usage.

If water went internally then I think the problem could be the contact between the battery and the charging cable needs cleaning or the usb port.

That charging speed is slow. How old is the phone/what model?
I think the battery is most likely ok but the issue could be -
1. slow charger (are you charging through computer?)
2. try cleaning the usb port.
@@MOTzTube it's Xiaomi mi 8 and about 3 years old. I charging normally using power socket because I know it will be a lot slower if using computer. And I've replaced the charging port. This this the third one and it's still slow.

What device is it?
Sometimes the charging speed varies depending on the percentage of battery charged. For example it might be charging at 1500 ma at 5% but at 95% it might be charging at 300 ma.

The app is just for measuring the current.
What is the measurement you get? If it's always under 500ma then it's pointing to a problem.
Usually the problem could be charger/charging cable but you will need to figure that out.

If it does then the charger or charging cable is the issue otherwise the phone (maybe setting)

I think the newer phones are fine and the battery should last a couple of years before you start noticing significant issues with battery performance.
