Btw, dark mode helps saving battery if your phone has an AMOLED, or OLED (yes, i know there are many difderent names, but still), because in the black areas, the pixels turn off. However in an LCD screen for example, they don't.
Well done 👏👏
LCD is more efficient as they are not rated for high brightness as high as oled and LCD don't need to light up every individual pixel making them more efficient than OLED.Yes OLED are quite inefficient in power consumption.Proof OLED phones give better battery backup in indoor conditions if you are outdoors in direct or indirect sunlight the phone consumes significantly more battery LCD display don't suffer from this trait.
Actually there is not difference
@@islamp3140 There is a difference if you use an OLED bro ☠️
@@islamp3140
The difference between OLED and LCD is that OLED has better colors and the blacks are way darker compared to a navy bluish color
Instead of removing animations, go into the developer options by tapping the build number in software settings I believe, 10 times, scroll down to animation speed and set it to 0.5, which makes all animations 2 times faster, taking up less time, making the phone feel more snappy, and best of all, you still have them, they are not simply gone.
Animations sucks
But it causes more power battery 😂
@@rayhanyallur Except it doesn't. The less time you spend on animations the more you get what you need to get done. As little as that is, additional things is the phone spends less time on blur effects and other transitional effects, and if it is done right, it cuts the frame rate of the animations rather then simply speeding it up. 120fps is what it should be at normal speeds, and 120fps is what it should be when sped up to 0.5, meaning its rendering less frames to accomplish the same effect just sped up which we wont the difference in frame rate because it will just be the same sped up or not, and look just as smooth. There is a reason my S23 Ultra lasts a long time. Charge it every 3, sometimes 4 days if I am light with it, and that is 3-4 hours screen on time, which includes music, youtube, camera, and general browsing and social media use. I have had my S23 Ultra for 4 months now, bought it used, and it still looks and performs as if it were new.
better yet, just turn it off or set it to zero animations!
@@kleptodathief3946 yes, make your phone feel boring or plane or better yet, generic. Having some animations at least doesn't feel like a generic cheap phone, and setting the animations to 0.5 is snappy, quick, and best of all, still there. Using GoodLock I believe you can even change the type of animation but I am not too sure on that. But still, just turning it off is just boring, and don't understand why you would want that.
I paid for those issues and I am enjoying it.
Thanks for tips, found some I never knew about, more battery life please :)
Thanks.
Please don't tag a video incorrectly if youre only using One UI to demonstrate something. Most of those settings are called differently and often times located somewhere else (if even exist) on Pixel
Just came here to write the same exact thing.
Or any other android phone.
Most Android phones
Settings are nearly the same. Just find them in your phome
I have a motorola and i can fully agree on that.
Wow! VERY easy instructions! I am subscribed!
24: You still have to unlock the device after a restart, or important app alerts or notifications can be missed.
Great video thank you! :)
Thank you very very much. Your presentations are awesome. Subscribed.
23: I think protect battery is there to reduce charge cycles, and battery wear, by not always going from 100% to 0% all the time. Which is bad for lithium ion batteries.
Personally i use protect battery, and switch it off when doing a full charge every 1-2 months. For non-removable batteries, this is a must imo.
Keeping the phone at charge after fully charged put a lot of stress on the battery, this feature is handy for people who put their phone to get charged at night while sleeping.
Yeah. It's a bit sad that they don't know why this feature exists and how batteries work when they are making videos doing recommendations on increasing battery life..
yup.
and another thing they got wrong:
a third-party charger cannor "cram" way too much energy into your phone, because the phone wouldn't accept it.
@@javadj184 I don't think what you say is true though. I think what truely deteriorates the battery is charging too fast when at very high / low battery, which is preventend by the new PD-like protocols of USB-C (able to deliver very low power)
Yes that is called high "C" (rate of charge or discharge)@@flo0778
What a great channel. Love the enthusiasm. Watched this vid and the spying vid one and tweaked my phone while watching all while feeling it getting cooler in the palm of my hand even through the case, shxt is crazy lol!!. Excellent 👏
Very Informative!
Thanks for the tips
I've just discovered on the S24 ultra you can turn location history off, not just pause. At least in the UK. Hope that helps.
That was really helpful I hope you all your next videos be like this. Thanks for help.😊😊
So what was up with all the grindr notifications towards the end of the video? Thanks for the great tips.
Very good video ❤
thank you for the video but im missing some of the settings talked about here with Motorolla android 13 and would also apply to my TCL 30xl.
can you make video on "system taking too much storage" my phone 128gb storage and 32gb is occupied with system. already tried wiping cache partition, fix apps still nothing change.
Great information - thank you.
Amazing video, thanks!
I like the way yall are assisting each other 😂😂😂
HA!... what a hoot, trying to follow along with my 10 yo S4 Mini... a huge gap in the settings arrangement... some of the suggested changes should help though, thank you.
It may work for Samsung users, but it didn't completely apply to my phone, that is a Motorola. But nevertheless, it works wonders and makes a big difference.
Thank you.
19.Sorry I did not understand, should we restrict background data or not? Thank you
Great video..
This is off topic but does anyone know why the status bar icons alternate colors black & white on the home screen of my Android?
Hey guys I haven’t seen any uploads concerning iOS 17. I have an option to try the apple beta test program on my iPhone 12pro max. Does it cost the user any out of pocket charges and two what are the pros and cons of the program if I sign up?
It's free bright but usually it had many bugs
What they really need to do is more battery research to make batteries last for years... like the promised Glass Batteries. Thank you for this informative video.
bigCompaniesbeLike: dont break the glass wheel when it aint broken...Apple sells their most expensive phone with the previous years specs, others rebrands their old phones and tag it new for resell, most wrap a garbage and rebrands it as new with higher price.... people nowadays are so dumb they would give 1000 dollar of their hard earned money for a device that a 100 phone can do...
Companies wont do that... They want us to buy their latest & more expensive products!
One of the best life saving battery life features is to Switch OFF😂 ur Mobile.
I DO NOT HAVE MORE BATTERY SETTINGS!!!!!!!😵💫😵💫
Its on OneUi 6.1
@@lazouch08 i got OneUi 6.1,i have A55 5g but i still dont have more battery settings....
thank you this video really make a difference! please follow what they say here, it's safe, and it will help slow down your battery usage. Really works! Thank you so much for what you do!!
Hi, just came across your site. Doin the battery saving program and my screen is different on battery app....I dont have a performance button on the battery page. I just have adaptive which i have on, I have samsung s22 ultra. Should i have one. THANKS
Yes
You missed: Switch off your phone. Switching on your phone drains battery.
Do you mean the frequent on and off or something else?
My friend, Life is too short to worry about smartphone battery.😎
@@vortexOGgg So, the answer is no or yes? If you know. Thanks
Absolutely NO. If you watch this video carefully you will see that it suggests you to turn off all good features of your smartphone. In that way you will not have fun using your smartphone to its full potential. That's why I made that sarcastic remark that you need to switch off your smartphone when you are not using it to save battery. The ultimate battery saver but very unpracticle.
@@vortexOGgg Basically, I misunderstood your comment, I thought you meant that turning the phone off and on frequently is draining the battery. But you added a period after the phrase "Switch off your phone", I didn't see that before "drains battery" you didn't add a period, and I thought your original comment was this: "turning the phone off and on frequently, drains battery".
Basically turn your new shiny smartphone into Nokia 3310 from 2003.
Yes but he saved a whole 5% battery discharge
Hello . Post the new android update mu Samsung 22 ultra is darining battery drastically. I have followed these options yet battling with battery drain . Kindly help
Hi, guys,
Would you know a way to delete many gmails at once, perhaps by date or sender or subject? I can select a bunch of messages but see a “delete all” function (iPhone 11 Pro Max, latest OS). I have amassed a huge number of messages - they make my phone very heavy. Thanks!
I have a little questing... Am living in eu right now are there some settings that are alrealdy off?
You should also turn off print services, next go the first nearby scaning option.
Thank you for all explation to help my battery .❤
Performance profile is great. Slows down things by 10% (will not notice) but lowers power use by 20%. Which I _do_ notice.
Another thing to do is close out all apps in memory after using them - this is done by clicking on the three bars at the bottom of the screen and clicking the whisk icon - this in turn frees up memory...
This is all Android 11 right? What about Android 12? Still in the works?
What is the global settings on the network ?
Nice video , But ,just letting folks know!! By removing animations!! 2 things will be obvious, No charging wheel on plug in charges..Your search wheel ,dissapears,.. Search wheel just stays in a pointed arrow, then it logs on
Also alot of flickering , with you tube searches.. by removing animations
Also!! We all know it's dead wrong for brands to spy, just know, ( which can happen)) If any of us thinks ,you can just oust these brands from snooping etc....Disabling ,etc..The phones can act up..they let ya know that at times( misbehaving) ..They find a way with disabling ,for anyone's privacy etc..They'll goof ur phone up somehow.
Thanx for the video...
Fantastic video.
But you may want to make a more up-to-date version each time Samsung updates the One UI interface. I could not find some of the settings in the recent version of Samsung's One UI (v6.*)
This does NOT work for me. The setting names do NOT appear as you describe. " Connections" does not show up in settings mode. and others as well I have a Motorola One 5G UW
always been curious as to what aoo you guys use for screen caps on android. every time I try to find a decent app it tries to hack hack into my phone haha
Samsung built in
@@amirjasni138 is it rlly! wow injavent found it. I'll try to google around but could be my version if the galaxy doesnt have it
I haven't manufactured any phones The Manufacturer knows what they're doing!! So with that said the amount of battery drainage I get just isn't worth me not customizing my phone the way I Want.
Thank you 👍👍
I am surprised that currently only samsung provide complete controls to you on your android device.
@PayetteForward love your videos and your suBtle as a brick sarcasm - fantastic. 💞💞
As a battery saving tip, I'd usually use a battery limiter (like Chargie - there are others in the market though). It works like battery protect. But with the device, I could actually control the discharge too. Plus, I can set it to 90% or 95% charge, leave it overnight, and it wont go beyond that and it won't overheat. Might not be for some of you, but it kinda works for me.
is it free?
So basically, don't use any of the features that your phone has.
Best advice turn off tour phone you will give extra battery for sure
What do you mean where's tour phone is ?
Very nice video❤❤
Even though I switched from Android to Apple with an iPhone 6 I still enjoy seeing your videos about Android.
You got an 8 year old iphone?
Imagine getting a iPhone
@timschultz1928 There are some people i know who did that. They literally changed their 1 year old mid range android for 8 year old iphone 😂
The charging only to 85% protects the wear and tear of the battery performance enabling you to get a couple more years before a replacement being needed on the battery.
I have mostly everything on and high. Its no issue for one day at all. I paid big price for the phone. So i gotta to us all of it. This is just for me 😊
On Samsung phones with Android 11 with OneUI 3 in Developer Options, "Drawing" section, there are 3 switches to change animation effects and their duration: "Window animation scale", "Transition animation scale" and "Animator duration scale" Those scales go from "off" to "10X"
This what make happen
I am going through a problem called night draining....plz help
"Spending real money for imaginary money"😂😂
Okay I have a question how much battery life have I saved by doing what you said?
About 5% it depends on the phone
so I didn't got it for #7 - is it better to keep adaptive light turned on, or no??
It is better to keep it on as it adjusts the screen brightness according to your surrounding. Because most people increases the brightness and than later on forgets to decrease the brightness.
Off is better. Adjust it urself.
Thanks. Every time android updates my phone it messes it up royally. It appears they have very incompetent upstarts Making these up dates for phone.
Hie Guys I need help with my Redmi note 13 pro plus 5G. When I bought it, it actually came with Memory tagging extension (MTE ) turned on. The notification says Experimental Memory tagging extension turned on and may affect phone performance. I have looked for ways to turn it and I have failed.
Xiaomi features, just Google about it
Hi, i am on iOS 16.6 public beta 3 and since some nights my battery drains automatically and iPhone is a bit hot when i wake up and pick up on my hand. Any solution as to what is causing this and how can i get to the bottom of this to stop drain?
You do realize this is an Android video right? 🤣😂
I use a Motorola and the Android settings UI is different from Samsung One UI Settings. Please make a new version demonstrating it on Pixel/Android UI instead of Samsung One UI because names, locations, and management can vary greatly.
Yeah they will surely make a completely new video when most of those settings are in a relatively similar place if they exist in that form. By taking an adittional minute or se you can find most of it on other UIs. Surely harder though than making a new video for them for each Android rendition for every company
In my case adaptive battery on feature draun more battery that off, same as power saving mode. So these features are useless.
So you want to say that first pay for the features and then disable them for saving battery.
I love my phone being loaded😂
Love 5g. Battery lasts a couple days so not a problem for me otherwise great video and will follow your advice
Lost 4% battery watching this video😂😂
My iPone automatically came those switches "OFF" and required me to turn them on should I want them. I can't figure why these settings you are suggesting need to be adjusted.
Android video
Thanks 🎉
Let's say I followed all the suggestions. How much would I save? If it is just 5%, then I am not going to bother.
Always use dark theme in this videos. It makes it easier for the viewers eyes.
On mine i did dark mode and reduced refresh rate 😅
Same here 😂❤
Truly helped me.
Subscribed. Also please make a video on how to arrange the apps on the Samsung home screen more effectively.
i don't have a problem with power saving, it's not disabling lots of features for me, it's the exact same for me
I'm using the S23 Ultra, & I sadly can't switch from 5G to LTE. But I do like my 5G speeds
Good points guys
I did all of them & my phone feels like 2008 😂
My Number # 1 Battery drainer is RUclips running 16 hours in the Background 😢 😢 😮 !!!!
Sadly the select network option isn't available on One UI 6 as far as I know.
It's there on my A53 5G running One UI v6.0
@@EvilDaveCanada Maybe I am doing it wrong 🤷♂️
My Verizon Galaxy s24 ultra won't let me turn off 5G
A charge it will not put too much power Into your device, A modern device will draw whatever current necessary based on the charge level and the temperature of the battery.
This statement saying you shouldn't use cheap charges is. However, correct, but whether you choose a Samsung approved charger or any other decent charge will make absolutely no difference to the weird level of your Battery what's the battery protector setting which limits To 85% Is to increase the overall life spine of the battery by reducing degradation. Lithium cells do not like being held at 100% or their full charge voltage for extended periods of time Most lithium batteries are rated for approximately 800-1200 Charge cycles before they lose 20% of their capacity. By limiting the full charge to 85 You are not fully cycling the battery and therefore you slow down the degradation. You see a lot of phones now. Advertising fast charging or quick charging at a rated maximum wattage. That advertised charging rate is only the peak and it will only charge at those speeds for a very short amount of time and then it reduces the charge rate as it gets closer to full charge. If you have a device rated for 45 Watts, a new buyer 100 watch charger. It's not gonna force 100 watts into the device. It does not work like that. If you buy a charger that is the correct protocol which is these days, is usually power delivery. The device will negotiate The charge rate with the charger. If it does not negotiate or it is not the same protocol, it will not quick charge, so it will only charge at 5 or 10 watts. The reason why you should not use these very cheap bottom of the barrel charges. It's because they are made to a very low quality. And some of them haven't even passed safety standards and have fake markings on them like ce marks. Please charge us can be potentially dangerous and they could damage your device and potentially cause a fire. That is why you should not use these charges.
thanks. 👍👍👍
Dark mode saves a lot of battery
I have Samsung phone but I don't have motion smoothness option 😢
They are getting rid off 3G in Australia.
The 85 battery saver i find kinda dumb. Phones last 3 years by then apps will not work anyways. My 2019 phone did not accept half my apps. I now use it for youtube only
Phone purchase for different high rate because of feels extra features and etc...
Love this men. Great from Africa
This has nothing to do with Android battery drain. I looked on your videos to see if I could find an answer to my question about receiving text messages that I had already viewed. I opened my iPhone this morning and it said I had 14 text messages and when I looked at them they were ones I had already read over the last couple of days. There wasn't any kind of alert they just appeared. Thoughts?
ikr, misleading
Thanks dude. I'm used Realme device and still find that settings in the different places. Some of that settings are have not known by me.
I am going to buy my first iPhone 13 pro soon
When you say you don't "need" 5G, what does that mean? For speed? What you're doing is stopping the phone from constantly searching for a 5 G connection. Correct?
5g is faster. 3g is slower eats more battery but is far more stable. Atleast on my phones. A30s s20fe
Good tips but you are too aggressive deactivating features to the point you strip a phone down to 2012 again.
How to save battery life on your smartphone? Turn it into a dumb phone. Got it.
Why network eating battery life???
