they deliberately corrupted battery life so you are forced to replace your perfectly good and still very capable phone with a new one, a shame!
I noticed the exact same thing, I've had samsung phones for years and every time i updated the firmware i noticed that the battery performance decreased drastically.
I know for sure that is the case.
But why aren't we doing anything about it?
I only had my phone for 6 months, bought s23 ultra for €999 when the s24 was on the brink of release. Only had 2 months of joy with it until I updated to 6.1.
The battery has maximum 6h sot and most of the time even less, when I get home from work its already at 50% or below.
I reached to support telling them my battery life, they told me the battery life and sot is "normal" 🤡
It's called planned obsolescence and it's been implemented everywhere from light bulbs to the clothes we wear.

An update for Samsung Keyboard was released in the Galaxy Store, which fixed the battery drain issue.
Also, the light performance mode is S23 exclusive.

additional tips: if you really want the AOD feature, you can just turn it off during times when you don't need it (i.e sleeping). you can schedule it to turn on/off in Routines. ++ in the latest one UI you can select the app notification to display in your lockscreen so you can turn off some unnecessary app notification when your screen is lock.

Hi Jimmy😄 I have a question regarding the more battery setting under the device care option so I have scrolled down clicked on to more battery setting again clicked on second option performance file I have clicked an option to light.. so my question is yaaa I know it does improves the battery of device but does it impact the performance of device I want to know that could you help me out
It's probably just me but is it rare to have the USBC port mess up or break on the S series? Haven't been on Android in 4 years and I didn't have a problem then but just got my S23+ and just been wondering about that,.

I also saw an option to repair apps in the recovery menu seems handy if your standard apps are not working or your home is broken or something I asume.

well i don't know battery consumption but,in my a54 heat in the front camera area was the option to see your eys that the screen don't go to sleep.when i disabled that,there is no heat at all in the phone camera/display/speaker area no more.
I think lowering the display resolution is the most effective. On a "small" screen there's not a big difference between FHD+ and WQHD+ anyway.

If you have the A50 series I suggest you update your Samsung keyboard as well. The battery issues I have on my A52 from the recent One UI update were immediately gone after updating the keyboard.
What if I use gboard and still have battery drain problem
I have the a52 aswell and i was wondering in the last few weeks what the hell was up with the battery drain, like ill go from 100% to 30% overnight while not using the damn phone

Tried all the fixes from utube & google but still no fix.
I had an average of 8 hrs of screen time on my galaxy a51 from the 6-day data this is where power saving is enabled. I got around 5-6 hrs screen time when power saving is disabled.

Hi, Jimmy. I am having WIFI issues on my S23 Ultra ever since I received the phone. The WIFI randomly stops working now and then which is very annoying, then to temporarily fix it I have to turn off my WIFI on my phone settings and turn it back on, or put it on airplane mode and back on, or just restart it. I use loads of other devices connected to the WIFI and never had this issue, so it definitely isn't an issue with my broadband. I was wondering if you know a fix? I don't want to do a network reset though as it will delete my WIFI and Bluetooth settings.

it is better in step 6 to do repair apps after cache clear for more usefull then device will reboot automatically

I'm able to able clear cache on my s22 ultra .. as i hold volume up and power button at the same for few seconds it's just shows the samsung logo ( booting) and phone gets on .
I have issues after the 5.1 update that the phone lock itself and open to the lockscreen by itself while I'm using it

I can't seem to do the "most important step" I'm pressing power and volume up I see the android logo but that menu doesn't open it just turns the phone on.

and there are multiple color on every touch.
does this keep draining my battery even when i am not using it?
It may not drain it. I believe some of the reason the keyboard is doing it now on S22 devices is cause of stickers, emojis and additions on the keyboard. But if people notice Samsung keyboard in galaxy store as update, it fixes that portion.

For the guys who are unable to enter into recovery mode to plug your device to PC using USB and try the steps of power button and volumne plus button . It will work

You didn't mention "reset keyboard" option.
Didn't need to. My very first steps was to clear data and cache. That does it. But also look in Galaxy Store for keyboard update.

The main culprits are wifi continuously scanning, Bluetooth always scanning ,Google presice location giving permission for apps to use location turn off location service for Google just off these in settings & always reset your phone after a major update this will help in clearing all temporary & junk files .see the difference I hope it helps Greetings from India 🇮🇳

Mine gets HOT, 118-130°F, while charging and it stops charging. This started happening after the last update it received. I put it back in the box and went back to using my Motorola. This is my second Samsung Galaxy and from the looks of it it'll be my last Samsung Galaxy.

It is frustrating. I bought mine last month and it came with the battery drainage issue. It is so frustrating. My phone is consuming battery for absolutely no reason.

My z fold 4 does not reset when volume up and power are pressed at a time. It just drains my bettery that goes from 100% from 0% in 10sec. Useless samsung said they could not find any issue at all and returned my phone without repair. The phone is less than two years old but also refused to cover under warranty as they did not identify the issue? Totally garbage.
Seems with junky exynos, this doesn't work on S22 Ultra
The only thing that annihilates my battery life is the AOD (I use a51)

I usually do
Another tips you may also want to try for increasing battery life is:
1.Go to setting> connections: disable UWB if you don't need it.
2. disable also NFC especially if u are at home.
3. disable 5G also needless if you are at home imo 2G or 3G it's more than enough for calls, and while at home use Wifi for internet acces.
4.Go to other connection option, that's the last menu option at the bottom, Disable search/scanning for nearby devices.
5.Go to settings>scroll down to google>Devices>nearby share.
switch it off, so your phone doesn't necessarily keep scanning for other devices. Also tap on the option devices, (3rd menu option)
toggle off look for other nearby devices.
Besides all off this you can also set up routines like:
When im going to sleep:
1.Switch on power saving mode, turn down refresh rate at 60HZ
switch GPS off, keep only 2G active, also good for SAR value, and extra dim down the screen.
this are some of the routine i use.

Not at all. These steps help EVERY Samsung phone. First couple steps isn't only for S22 but shows that if ANY phone has a problem with ANY app, the steps are shown to fix it. This example happens to be keyboard. But thanks for the love. God bless.
