@@SpaceCadet4Jesuswho cares? Why is it on by default anyway? If you think that alot of ppl use it, then why not put navigation system on at default, something that much more users use?
This dude is right, guys. Android phones and smartphones in general nowadays have too many fancy functions and services that we bearly even use half of. Most of them are kept turning ON by default and stay hidden deep in the Setting while the battery is slim because all manufacturers want to make your phone look sleek. These contradicting factors will drain your battery with no mercy. So you should follow his advice. I have done some more to save my battery even a bit further.
@@beastthenephewjr.warmachin1512 Each Android version and each smartphone manufacturer has a different way to organize the settings. I am using a Huawei P30, I don't even know if my setting could be done on your device. Anyway, it goes like this. In the Setting app, there is a customization where you can choose how apps will start up when you turn on your smartphone. Either they will automatically get booted up, or they will not run AT ALL untill you manually tap on them. By default, all apps will automatically start with the phone, they will run in the background without you knowing it, even when you don't see them in the App Overview (running apps). This explains why you can still get messages in your message apps. Google apps do this most (Google, Gmail, RUclips, etc.). They will drain your battery with the functions that you don't even need. SO, I turn this setting for most of them to OFF. This means that when I turn up my phone, only MY PHONE turns up. The apps that I don't need to run will stay inactivated until I tap on them. My battery won't lose a single percentage in the 6-8 hours after booting up if I leave it in idle. That's some cool shjt, isn't it? At this point you may ask, what will happen after I tap an app the first time? Well, from then on, it will keep running in the backgound like usual. Anyway to cut that off completely? Actually, YES! There is another option for you to completely shut down an app the moment you swipe it up from the App Overview. That way, when you don't want to use an app, it will shut down FOR GOOD. But it can be a bit uncomfortable if you use a message app. Notifications only pop up when you tap on the app again. Or, in the case of RUclips, if you are commenting but need to check some information on Google, you switch to Google and when you go back to RUclips, everything will completely be refreshed because it doesn't run in the background anymore the moment you tap Home button to switch app. So this 2nd-tier option is more restricted. There is even a 3rd-tier option, which determine if an app can be kick-started by another app, for example, if RUclips is allowed to run when you click on a RUclips link in a different app. I usually leave this ON.
Gmail and Weather app are best examples in this case. Gmail will surely keep your mailbox updated. Weather app will also constantly get weather updates so that when you click on it, the latest information is ready for you. BUT for me, I don't need that. I only check them WHEN I need to check them. So by turning off 1st-tier & 2nd-tier option for these apps, I can use them only when I want, and can kill them for good when I am done. Of course, this mean that the apps will only start to send and receive data when they are running, so there is a bit of a delay when you open them. However, with the powerful hardware these days, especially in the case of flagships, that teeny tiny delay doesn't make any different. The benefit of saving battery life greatly outweights that. I just hope you may find that setting.

Still clicked on those video though to see if I could improve it further. Thanks pal :)
I have to praise this content as it really help a lot. Now my phone feel much more responsive. It also feel much better on the hand like when you have an earlier phone. You only use it to make call and some simple games. Thanks a lot. Looking forward for more of your content 😀
Excellent video, so many of these kinds of videos don't take into account different phones' differing settings etc, or they don't explain how to find the specific settings enough requiring an additional Google search, but this was fantastic. You're a great teacher, cheers! 🎉 PS other than app notification settings I had ALL of these settings turned on. I will be very interested to see how much my phone performance and battery is improved, I've been struggling with it overheating when using certain apps so I have a feeling this might help.
Great video. Thanks so much. It's going to make my battery last a lot longer.
Love your videos - quick and easy solutions to help reduce battery waste. As others point out you get right to the point and make it easy to follow.
I had 24 apps listed in the usage data access area.
*You are the best😌... brother❤ from India🇮🇳*
Excellent video tutorials. Straight to the point, plainly and clearly illustrated or demonstrated. Thank you very much. I'm subscribing!
Printing was on 😮
Thank you very much
Again printing is not on until you go to that screen. If it was actively looking for printing you would find Network traffic relating to the searching. You won't find network traffic until you go to that screen. This isn't Windows.
This is so helpful! I just recently found your videos and I am loving them. I'm learning so much about my phone that I didn't know, and the way you present the information and demonstrate as you go is so easy to follow! I also love how you jump straight into the information. A few things were different on my phone as it's a little bit older, but apart from one setting that I don't think my phone has, I was able to find everything else. Thanks again from a new subscriber!
