Your videos are helpful. There's one thing I did learn about a Samsung Android phone: all the settings you recommended to adjust, were already adjusted on my phone! I think that sends a nice message about Samsung: they value our privacy as much as we do, and they did the work for me. Like 10 jumps ahead of me! But I still like your videos......Thanks!
The last tip under Security and privacy pertains to Samsung phone only. In my Android phone, I find it under Privacy, in Usage and diagnostics! 🙂 Thanks for these informative tips. It is better understood by listening to the video in DeskTop/Laptop and use the tips on the phone side by side.
Thank you 💐 As my tablet is my main source for access to the internet, I followed the steps for that. I'm a technophobe, but I'm quite pleased with myself, as I already had most of those settings set 😊...... unbelievably!! 😅
Frustrating thing is. You could disable every tracking setting on your phone. But it still doesn't prevent big brother from spying on you. It requires a different OS that isn't traditional Android or Apple altogether. And using approved open source pro privacy apps.
On samsung, if you enable developer settings and have a vpn, you can change your IP address and your GPS location and disable every sensor on your phone, essentially bricking your phone.
Lots of good tips here ill get onto it.....manufacturers seem to make it unbelievably difficult to find things sonetimes stuff is buried why ive no idea but uts all v frustrating....great vid ive subbed...😊
There is an opensource replacement for it, but every time I mention its name in a comment, YT blocks what I have to say. Anyway, the scientific name for the northern lights is the zzzz Borealis, where zzzz is the placeholder for the name that keeps getting blocked. Hope this comment makes it through.
@@PeterHonig. How do you mean, an "open source"? I don't know what that means! 😅 I get your borealis thing, but I don't know what you're talking about. Sorry, I'm a technophobe! NB. I have to disguise the word Ama#on, every time I use it, or else I get blocked for 24 hours! It took me ages to work it out the first time, because RUclips doesn't tell you what you've done wrong!! 🙄
I must say that every video of his that i have seen has truly been USEFUL for me lol. Great name for this channel. After this video i decided to just subscribe to it. Thank you for your great work Mr. Useful Things lol!
you dont have to worry about appps draining your battery by running in the background if you just go into app settings and "force stop" the app after youre done using it for the time being. this way, its like on a pc, you open like your browser and use it a bit then close it when you are done. but on phones closing it doesnt actually close it, it just minimizes it into the background so its still running all the time. i always just go to "force stop" any app ive just finished using so nothing is ever running in the background
Thank you! I am new to all this and really enjoyed and tried to follow al the instructions given! Are you please able to make one specifically for moto g54 5g?
@TheForgottenOddKing If you are missing the option, scroll down to about, tap on play store version a bunch of times (i think it was 7 times) to unlock developer options. I found the setting after doing this.
i disable and forced stop playstore as soon as i get a device. you also have to restrict its data , disable all permisions that it will allow you to. turn off notifications. and turn off usage permission which is usually in another aettings.delete its data as well. install most apps by downloading apk files. also disable updates. thats how they control your device with other apps. some you have to update but if it works dont update it. updates are not what you think..
There is no app install optimisation switch. Sort by last used is in the normal menu not directly on the screen. The only app battery option is for optimization. I think I'll give up there.
The one feature you can't turn off is motion sense, so they know when you carry the phone. Plus you have Pegasus and Pegasus 2.0 so really just don't have a phone if you want to be safer. But then again their tracking with AI and national camera networks now too.
I dont know how you learn or know this information..But you sir are a genious..Thank you for helping us all out.

Mine is the same on all my Samsung devices.
I wish all the Android users would watch the videos on this channel.
For sure! So easy to follow too.
Even if you change the settings its still going to spy on you. Google is a malware.
WHY?

Thank you so helpful! it was on many phones as default

Your videos are still great.
Ye, if you don't want them to spy on you this is not a way to go.
I'm so glad I found this channel. Definitely subbed for more useful information.
Thank you so much for all the helpful advice, and your clear instructions so easy to follow
Very useful and helpful. Thank you. It's ridiculous that we have to do these things on devices that cost us lots to buy!
Frustrating thing is. You could disable every tracking setting on your phone. But it still doesn't prevent big brother from spying on you. It requires a different OS that isn't traditional Android or Apple altogether. And using approved open source pro privacy apps.
Using a different os isn't gonna do a thing, your chip can easily track you using towers surrounding or your surrounding devices.
On samsung, if you enable developer settings and have a vpn, you can change your IP address and your GPS location and disable every sensor on your phone, essentially bricking your phone.

Best how to phone video that I ever come across for awhile 😊😊😊
This is ridiculous that we have to not just do this but come back and do it again every a month or so.
That's because some like to know what you're doing and the likes of Google bend over backwards to help them.

i wish someone would develop an app that would turn off all these settings on its own, like Windows debloater programs do for PCs
I am currently in the process of creating one.

I am not an expert but such an app would probably need all possible permissions, so one would need lot of trust. But principally I am interested.
