Has anyone else noticed that Sam does not, or very rarely uses filler words when he speaks? Very precise and extraordinarily concise. A True wordsmith and artist in every sense of the word.
Sam is a gracious and humble man. I was blessed enough to spend more than a year learning the craft from Sam in his shop. Stopped into his old shop in Alachua Fl to buy a holster and was totally mesmerized by his process. He graciously ask me if I wanted to build a holster with his help. I jumped on the opportunity. That 1 holster turned into many more and I was able to learn with him over my shoulder. It’s a knowledge of a craft that I will have with my for the rest of my life and I owe all of that to Sam.
What beautiful, highly skilled work. I am so grateful that the interviewer/presenter allowed the artisan and his work to speak for themselves, rather than being intrusive.

Hybrid saddle style for a glock 35. Always wanted one of these, hope to be able to afford one soon. Sam does really exceptional work.
Mr. Andrews is not only an excellent craftsman. He is also a very nice gentleman.
Over the years, I have many of his holsters and every one of them have stood the test of time and look and perform as good today as when I first aquired them.
I would strongly recommend his work to anybody wishing to process the finest leather goods to be had anywhere.
Sam Andrews is awesome. Gotta love his colourfull narrative throughout this piece. He has cool tricks with the tools as well.

I’ve spoken to this gentleman on the phone several times when I ordered a holster from him. Not only does he make beautiful holsters but I swear I could listen to him read a good book for hours.
Thanks to Hank and Sam, the how it's made videos has got me into leather craft. I've been incorporating all of the tips and tricks that Sam has shown. I'd be elated if I would get a saddle style holster in elephant skin for a G43.

Those holsters are indeed a work of art! I have a couple of revolvers from my late father, a S&W Pre-Model 15 .38 Special (1957) was an ex-police revolver...beautiful bluing, but with some holster wear. I'd love to have a classy holster for that one. The other revolver is Colt New Frontier Scout .22 in the original box with an extra .22 mag cylinder. My father had picked it up at an auction shortly before be passed, it would also be a great candidate for one of your holsters. Thanks Sam for sharing your art with the rest of us!

It is so good to see good old fashioned workmanship where products are really built to last. I am sure many of those well-built holsters will become family heirlooms that won’t be any worse for wear in a couple decades when taken care of properly.

I can just imagine first thing in the morning walking in and taking a deep breath to start the day! I get that with my motorcycles and construction shop. I learned so much here and I don't even work leather.
I'm 79 and retired so i used my old welding jacket to make a holster for my colt peacemaker airgun revolver came out nice

Beautiful work, a real pleasure to watch.
I saw Sam Andrews again at a local Orlando gun show within the last month. He had made two units for me in the late 1980s . The first rig was for my Colt Series 70 Wilson modified .45 acp. This rig has a canted holster, a belt and two magazine holders fitted to the belt. The second rig is a shoulder holster setup for a Beretta 92. Both units have bottom tensioners that help to retain the firearms in the holster. The quality is impeccable some 30 + years later. I keep both holster rigs treated regularly with a moderate amount of Lexol and they look fantastic !
I have a Ruger GP100 .22LR 6" barrel that I Absolutely LOVE! Been dreaming of a holster rig for it. Mr. Sam makes Amazing holsters, I just can't afford one at the moment.
The Andrew videos are great! My best friend has several of them and the quality is the best. I would love to have a MacDaniel II for my Ruger SR 9.

This leather craftsman is amazing, so precise and well done!! His products are well worth the investment. Props to you!! I am impressed. I would love to have the space and equipment to do this. I am doing my own holsters from scratch and HAND stitching. A lot of work but will last a lifetime plus!!

I Had to sell both my OM (old) model Vaqueros when I became a single parent raising four kids.I used to get sick to my stomach thinking about it. They were the only guns I really missed! Years later I finally got another first year production (1993) Vaquero (old Model) -7-1/2" barrel. I would love a rig for that!!

I enjoy watching him stitch using the old Landis. I have an old Champion harness stitcher, still operated by pedaling, that I use for my holsters. Haven't quite convinced myself to convert it to electric powered just yet. Tools over 100 years old and still to an excellent job with a little maintenance. That aluminum slicker is a great idea that I may have to try out as well.
This man drinks fine bourbon, and fancy cigars and tells story's of his time as Mi6 or story's of home on the range. Elegant and proper
