    there's a lot of videos on how to build a sled but yours gets to the point and keeps it simple. Like how you add the 45 degree option onto it. Well done and well presented!

      Thanks! You're right though, tons of videos to pick from out there! A lot of them are huge sleds and I really wanted something compact for small cuts and really liked this design.

    Very nice project! Sometimes you just need a small sled. I like the low profile fence for the t-track.
    Is there any reason to cut the miter not into two pieces? Since you are always cutting at the front corner, it seems that you don't need to cut it all the way back.
    I enjoy your videos. The pace is good. The attention to the useful details is good. The calmness is good.

    • @DIYMontreal
      @DIYMontreal  5 лет назад +2

      Thank you so much! And great catch. I cut all the way through the miter attachment based on plans I was inspired by, but afterwards I had the same thought as you. I would recommend just cutting through the tip, that's all you need. And set up will be a lot easier every time you attach it.

    Just discovered your channel and loved this video - so clear and concise. I've downloaded the plans from your website to go ahead with the build. I'm curious, why do you use two different woods for the miter attachment? Update: Ahh, I now see the 1/4” layer was to allow for the overhang for the t-track. Finished my own sled today. Should be really useful! Thanks!

    Just found your channel. I'm impressed. I've just gotten into wood working. been building my own equipment for wood working. will be making your small sled real soon. question , how would you scale the miter attachment down smaller to accommodate large pieces of wood?

    • @DIYMontreal
      @DIYMontreal  5 лет назад

      Thanks! Glad you're enjoying getting into woodworking. This sled is really designed for small parts, but if you want to cut miters on large pieces you could make the sled long front to back.
