This is just PART 1 of the Ultimate Table Saw Jigs collection that I've put together. Jigs are such an important part in the wood shop and are essential when you're looking for consistency, repeat-ability, and ease of a specific task. A good jig is one that isn't too complex but can tremendously simplify a given process, and I think I've got three here that fit this bill. The first three jigs that I'd like to show you in this video are the Thin Strip Jig, Fisher's Crosscut Sled, and the Miter Sled Attachment. If you'd like to build these jigs, I'll have plans available on my website.

I’m glad you include your mistakes as well - makes us feel normal!
Your outtakes are worth the price of admission!
Being " New " to this ....... The tool racks alone are worth a like and subscribe ....... Great stuff
Thanks, Travis. Welcome
Glueing your finger in the outtake made me LOL! Too funny! thanks for sharing this!
Glad you enjoyed it
I love that you keep the outtakes in the video! Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who goes through all the trouble make something and the darn motor gets in the way haha
That was not a good moment for me. lol
Honestly the most impressive part of this video is how you screwed In that flat head screw without falling out of it
Haha... usually I need a few takes to get it right.
Your content got my 'like'. Your outtakes got my sub! Nice to know even the pros make mistakes, but know it's not the end of the world.
Much appreciated!
Love the jigs
Thanks for the out takes. It is comforting for a beginner to see someone with skills make mistakes
I love the information.......and the sarcasm and humor during the video!
3 really cool tools
4:25 "I'm gonna pack this thing so full of features and make it as complex as I can _cause_ that's what I do!"
Had me dying here, as I was just thinking that.
That is like the 57 Thunderbird of table saw sleds. Small, sleek, and the envy of everyone! I really like the idea of the detachable front fence. Nice touch. Love the included dry humor at no additional cost. Great video, and great sled.
I love your outtakes! That kind of stuff happens to me all the time.
Love the sled!
I like the cut of your jig.
Lend us a couple of clamps 👍
Liked your first video about table saw jigs looking forward to more
Easily the coolest crosscut sled I've seen yet, definitely going to make this one
Excellent and very clever thank you fantastic ✊✊✊✊✊
Very beautiful
I absolutely love that you referenced William Ng. As I just watched his video a day or two ago but love your design. So...I'll be incorporating both into my build. Thank you.
Nice, the bloopers were a touch of class :)
Double thumbs up!!
Dude make more vids.. They are way more educational than any of the mainstream guys I USED TO follow. Simple, easy, dumbed down enough for me to understand. Got yourself another sub
I love your videos-you are the Seinfeld of woodworking videos. 😆
And also thank you for show all the imperfections you did Brilliant thank you God bless you bro
Gluing your finger to the miter sled...I feel ya! 🤣🤨
Kudos to the man. He even has the cojones to show us he isn't perfect and actually glues himself to his projects, forgets to let the blade stop when cutting short pieces on a miter saw, and the trial and error it takes to actually perfect a design. Loved the outtakes portion ....
All three of those jigs are really well thought out. I have a monster crosscut sled I made from another RUclipsr's plans, but I think yours will be more functional in a smaller package. Looking forward to part II.
Thanks! Part 2 is coming very shortly. :)
Awesome jigs & love the out takes! LOL
Thanks Steve!
i subscribed just because its amazingly informative for noobs
Time to build!!
Slick I’ve started doing segmented turnings and need 1/8” and 1/4” strips for detail stripes this is perfect thank for posting
Of all the crosscut sled videos I've watched this is the most thought-out I've ever seen!
Jonathan M uuu
shxx. ". i just glued my fingers to the board" :) lol
Drew, are you sure you're not a rocket surgeon? Both your cross cut sled and your flip top cart are genius!!!! Also I love the outtakes! Keep up the good work!
Thanks, but no... I'm quite the opposite. Dumb as a rock and I could get lost in a phone booth. I just lucked out with a couple ideas. :)
Facial expressions is priceless... love your videos it shows even pros make mistakes
"makes cutting thin strips safe consistent and easy." - Ive been looking for a diy jig like this, thank you! Subbed brother!
Great features!
Very good! Thanks!
I love the way that you present the project I know there’s a lot of editing you are funny and you keep us captivated thank you
Love your videos. Tutorial with humour!
Love your photo.
Berry useful jigs awesome thamks for your videos
Thanks for the ideas
My first time here and I'm sure it's not last one
Simple and great job
Greetings and thank You
This is my first viewing of anything from your channel, but I've got to say that you are my new favorite youtube woodworker. Very common sense, short sweet and to the point, no plugs for expensive equipment, and you do things in the manner that real, everyday woodworkers do things. You had me at "world's rustiest washer." A+
What a bloody ripper idea!. I might have to build something like that. Then after doing that all i'll need is a table saw and i'd be set:p
Hah, yeah... might wanna get the saw first. :)
@@FishersShop haha . Thatd make more sense:p i just cant seem to find the right one . So many saws that're so different all with different price tags:(
I got the paisley one too. Awesome.
Just fantastic, Drew! I think I’m the most excited about making that box joint jig. I love how you can clamp the material on the front, then lift the whole thing to index where it need to. No adjusting the material! I don’t want to build another crosscut sled, but I might have to now. ;)
Shhhh! You're giving away spoilers to Part 2!! :) Thanks, Bruce!
Drew, I saw this video when you first released it a year ago and I made the "Thin-strip jig" for some box liners and I just love it! (Plus it's a Fisher original) An artist in town is now paying me an insane amount of money to cut thin-strips of hardwood for bookmarks she hands paints and burns scenes on them, and having this jig has made a world of a difference. It takes me 10-15 mins to batch out 100 of them! THANKS!!
That is awesome!
skill and humor. i like it. subbed.
Welcome!
By far the best and easiest instructions I've seen yet. Great job
Glad it helped
Great work Drew!!!
Thank you, sir!
I think the best part was when he glued his finger to the board. This way he can't lose it.
Great jigs. Love you humor and your outtakes. Adding the spring clamp to all the clamps in the western hemisphere was pure genius.
I didn't want that spring clamp to feel left out. Had to use him.
Great video! I ordered a set of the plans for Table Saw Jigs 1-3. They look like just what I have been wanting to build for my own saw at home. I showed my wife your motto on your RUclips site: "Where Simple Projects Are Made Overly Complex" and she laughed saying "Well you found a kindred spirit!" Thank you for the entertaining, well done videos and the accompanying well priced plans, they're much appreciated.
Have fun building!
Not only have I too glued myself to material before, but I've also nailed myself to a stud when trying to frame up a wall. Feel your pain brother, but thanks for turning it to humor and sharing it with us. It always brightens my day when I see a new one of your videos pop into my subscription feed.
Ouch! Thanks, John!
New to the channel. I had just liked and subbed and then the “bloopers “ come on. It’s like dessert at the end of an already great meal. The speed of the video was nice and the commentary great. Definitely going to check out more.
I was wondering when your next video was coming out. I now see your editing was delayed because your fingers were stuck to the miter sled. Great job. I need to rebuild my cross cut sled. Thanks Drew.
Very nice presentation and very great ideas, way to go
Thanks
Got them Awesome work. Burning up my printer now ! lol
Have fun!
Well done!
Wow! Thanks so much, John! :)

Thank you for showing that I’m not the only dummy to glue himself to a project.🙂
Haha, happens more often than I'd like to admit.
Funny I can watch these all day
Glad you liked it!
Love your humor. Unless I'm very very wrong your just a frustrated Mechanical Engineer that wants to be a comedian..!!! Not an insult, Im a ME and I'm damn funny too. Ok, so back to the video....I love the tabel saw jig and you can bet your sweet Sin I will build them all....Great viedo....Rp
Great video dude, thanks. You know I'd do more woodwork if my clamps made that sound.

I about lost it when you called William Ng a “rocket surgeon!” Great video. I’ll be making the sled this spring when my shop thaws out!
Haha... he's definitely a genius. :)
As soon as he said "Rocket Surgeon", I knew he was talking about Ng.
Isn't it sad we need to wait until nice weather to work in our shop? I'm in the same boat.
Heater people. 😃😃😃
@@lehcim777 Living in Arizona its the opposite for me. When its 114° mid day or 100° at 9am its at least 140° or higher in the shop.
I love the winters and wish they'd last a little longer.
Loved this vid, as my first introduction to your shop I instantly Subscribed to your channel.
Thanks for putting these together for us!
A new fan...
I am arched them in reverse order but it was still enjoyable. Lots of good ideas.
I'm only here for the outtakes. J/k, great videos, Drew!
Thanks, Sean! :)
The outtakes are hilarious. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve superglued my fingers to something 😂 The jigs are next level particularly the mitre adding to the crosscut 👍😎🇦🇺
Is that what we call a "finger board attachment"? Love it!! Nice build too.
You have the claim to build the best crosscut sled with the most functions. That's good, because only the best is good enough. I have another suggestion for an extension: A dust collector at the lower end where the saw blade protection is located. This could be made hollow with a side channel to the right side of the sled, where a vacuum cleaner could be connected. Many greetings from Germany.
Those bloopers are so important for the less experienced of us, so we don't get to depressed. Good fun. Thanks. Aaannd.... thanks for the great inspiration you just provided. Instant subscribe.
Great video Drew. We must live in the same hemisphere, because I was wondering where my clamps went for a bit there.
Haha, yup.. needed to borrow them just for a bit.
The first Jig would be really useful for me, but I can’t build it because I’ve only got new and shiny washers😕
once again another awesome video for the other 99% of woodworkers (aka Joe Average) (aka normal people) thanks Drew!!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
thanks to share with us im going to practice on my table saw. thank you
You bet
I loved your video, your are funny and you know how. Congratulations this was a great video to see thousands of times hehe. Sorry but I´ll make just like you hehehe! Good work and God bless you.
Wow, the bloopers at the end let me know that I'm not the only one who gets the gremlins conspiring against me when I'm doing a project of some sort. lol Nice jigs.
Those gremlins are also conspiring against me. In every Corner of my toolshop there is one sitting and waiting for doing some sh$%@ to me 😀
Okay you have one of the best woodworking channels. Period!
Thanks, Clifton! :)
Watching you drill and countersink as separate actions it made me assume you have not discovered one of the greatest tools in all of humanity. The tapered drill with countersink. You’ll thank me. Get a few, set then for different screw sizes. I absolutely love mine.
Yeah I have some but they were set for longer screws. And my dedicated countersink drill was sitting right there so.... 😀
awesome jigs, drew. i saw what you did for your neighbor's basement wall with the vinyl on insta, looks awesome.💯👍
Man, you rock! You blew my mind! Been a William Ng fan for years. Just got some Baltic bitch ply for my first sled. Want to build a hybrid of Williams and Nick Ferry's sled. Then I found your video. Wrecked my world! Damn it! Lol! Great build! Will be looking at this more. Side note, i used Williams method to square my miters saw to .0009. so im in the club now. Fantastic video!
Smart idea to have only one runner on the sled. Very clever. And practical. 👍👍
This is beautiful knowledge sir!
Glad it was helpful!
Finally someone with a sense of humor! Suscribe
Your outtakes are always my favorite part of the video 😂
Outtakes...
Omg! I wanna build ALL the jigs!
Suuuper, thanks You...the Best, from Romania with love! Have Nice day... thanks !
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
So, is the washer on the drill bit a trick for keeping the bit level? That's genius.
You got it.
I enjoyed the video and learned a few things to help me improve my crosscut sled... But the reason I subbed was because of your "infuriating" walnut piece
I love your outtakes. Thanks for showing some humility.
Between the beautiful design and the incredible functionality. You were making me feel insecure because I can't come up with cool stuff like this. But then you glued your hand to the sled and made me feel slightly better. I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!
Haha, leave it to me to glue my fingers to the project. :)
When you take the front fence off how does it hold together? The back fence is enough to keep it from splitting at the kerf? I really like your video's and am thinking of building this sled.
Yes it's enough to hold it. Plus the blade guard is also glued in over the kerf so that holds it as well.
you do nice work, I appreciate that you get right to it - but some of the assembly instructions are too quick for a dud like me, so I'd have to watch, pause, back-up,watch, pause, make a note - continue, rewind etc etc . . . thanks
Great to watch... totally over my head sadly. Too fast. I'll watch it over and over and hopefully be able to build one of these jigs for myself.
Hey Kings Fine Woodworking sent me here and I am glad that he did... Amazing stuff......
Awesome! Thank you!
The outtakes were awesome. The non-perfect side of real woodworking.
Now I'm going to have to make the thin strip jig. Thanks for the shout out to the genius William Ng. I love the humor and the outtakes.
Like the other guy said, I love the sound of the clamps, too.
Hi my brother thanks for your great job and thanks for your jigs I. enjoy your humour am new to the channel l will try to get the plane s for your table saw jigs
Thanks and welcome
Pretty ingenious, thanks
You're very welcome
