This is just PART 1 of the Ultimate Table Saw Jigs collection that I've put together. Jigs are such an important part in the wood shop and are essential when you're looking for consistency, repeat-ability, and ease of a specific task. A good jig is one that isn't too complex but can tremendously simplify a given process, and I think I've got three here that fit this bill. The first three jigs that I'd like to show you in this video are the Thin Strip Jig, Fisher's Crosscut Sled, and the Miter Sled Attachment. If you'd like to build these jigs, I'll have plans available on my website.

Kudos to the man. He even has the cojones to show us he isn't perfect and actually glues himself to his projects, forgets to let the blade stop when cutting short pieces on a miter saw, and the trial and error it takes to actually perfect a design. Loved the outtakes portion ....

Drew, I saw this video when you first released it a year ago and I made the "Thin-strip jig" for some box liners and I just love it! (Plus it's a Fisher original) An artist in town is now paying me an insane amount of money to cut thin-strips of hardwood for bookmarks she hands paints and burns scenes on them, and having this jig has made a world of a difference. It takes me 10-15 mins to batch out 100 of them! THANKS!!

You have the claim to build the best crosscut sled with the most functions. That's good, because only the best is good enough. I have another suggestion for an extension: A dust collector at the lower end where the saw blade protection is located. This could be made hollow with a side channel to the right side of the sled, where a vacuum cleaner could be connected. Many greetings from Germany.
