    Did this twice this week. I had to scaled the weight down on my second session. From 30lb barbell to 25lb barbell. For me it’s Very effective and efficient workout. Enjoyed the voice over. Great Job!

    I used the barbell alone “40lbs” for dead lifts and bench press. A “25lb“ kettle ball for clean and press , a 20lb medicine ball for shoulder presses, 2 -15lbs for bicep curls and lunges and a 20lb sand bag for the last 5 minute set - Good workout-

    Oh god i did this workout after 3 days break & I'm dead I did first three rounds with 24 kg weights and other three rounds with 18 kgs thank you Tom for this crazy workout 🥵

    Been out for to long with bad back surgery. First day back think I chose the wrong workout. What an ass kicker @TomPetoTraining loved it just what I needed

    Thanks for this workout! I’ve been so unmotivated and this kept me going. I only did 10.5kg for the first and last sections and then 8kg for the second. I got three rounds in for the last one and I’m sweating like a pig!

    Really good work out. Got exactly where you did. Was lighter, around 50lbs bar included for the amrap. Love the cardio component. Keep it up, Tom!

    Love all your workouts Tom. New subscriber here. Trying to get my dad bod back in line. I really like the calisthenics workouts you have too as a warm up to the barbell. That core calisthenics reminds me of muscles I forgot about 👍🤘🤘 I especially like the timer and the 5 second countdown at the end of a set.

    This was awesome. Didn’t feel like going to the gym but needed a great workout. I was smoked by the time I got to the AMRAP but still got 2 rounds in.

    Thanks for making this killer barbell workout vid, mate! I've been doing it for 3 weeks now (1-2 rest day per week & increasing the weight gradually for progressive overload), and I definitely see some progress! I think it would be nicer if you add images showing what muscle group(s) used in each exercise (or voice over), so we're more conscious on our mind-muscle connection and get the most out of the workout session.       thanks for hearing your community, Tom! Really appreciate you 👊👊 i actually started from your 20 min barbell workout but as i progress I find this 30 min is the right one for me.(your technique tips videos are super helpful)
      After completing this i usually do isolation exercises that target a specific muscle group for around 20-30 min

    Whoa! Good one, band new to weights, and this was easy to follow for me a beginner, and when I say beginner I mean just used the bar 🤭 but it was enough. I will definitely be doing this again, I only completed 3 of the 5. I was pretty impressed with my self 😅

    2 circuits in and I'm starting to get sore with light weight.. i pause the video to read the comments... I'm going to do a total of 3 circuits and call it... Definitely saved this to repeat the workout

    Thank you so much! loved it! i'm still new to all of this ,i've been doing it for a while and it feels good. i was wondering what can i get as a pre workout and post workout, i'm trying to gain muscles at the same time losing fat.

      Keep you protein high whilst maintaining a consistent moderate kcal deficit alongside regular strength workouts (like these ones) & that will help you towards your goals. Pre workout if you mean supplements anything with caffeine is the only real ingredient that helps so even a strong coffee would do, I like the NOCCO or Tenzing caffeine + BCAA drinks. Post workout you could have a protein shake & banana but if your goal is fat loss probably just wait to eat until your next usual meal slot.

      Long barbell routines can be challenging on mid back strength/endurance. I recommend just using a lighter weight until you’ve got used to it. Well done for getting at it 💪🏼

    Great workout 🏋️‍♀️ managed 50kg set 1 then 40kg to the end. Struggled with the AMRAP to 2.1 sets but there’s room for improvement eh!

    Great workout! Also at 22 minutes, it says to do crunches but in the 10 second example video, it shows you doing the wrong thing - you were showing bicep curls

    2 rounds, first time, I’m used to use bodyweight only, man, with barbell it’s more challenging

    What weights did you use?
    I'm 92 kg, and I've used 30kg for the first part, and 28 kg for the other two.
    Again, great workout!

      Hey thanks, I used 25kg for first section then dropped to 20kg for middle and back up to 25kg for finish. Probably a little lighter than I could have done but was still hard and always want to make sure demonstrations are tidy and I can actually finish the video without having to restart! Made that mistake a few times going too heavy.

      @@bogdandjukic3193 not too sure would have to try this routine again, could probably do 40kg for start and end sections but some of those isolation exercises in the middle would be tough with anything over 25kg for me I think.

    How do you guess the weight to use? Do you just slowly increase the weight over time to build muscle?

      @@seanmorris1754 pick a weight you can comfortably barbell thruster for 40secs (around 12reps) & that should work for the whole workout. As you get fitter with repeated attempts at this video gradually increase the weight used 👍🏼
