Just switched to a Ecoflow after another make of solar Generator let me down. The fact that Ecoflow offer a 5 year guarantee & the battery expectancy is around 10 years was a major factor in my purchase.
We've used the disel heater with the EcoFlow River pro. It consumed about 40% battery if the heater is left on all night. Also the River pro cannot handle so much amps at a time if you plug in via 12 volt. Youll need to get a AC DC converter to handle the amps due to high amount of energy during the diesel heater startup.
Thanks for the feedback. Since making this video, I now have the Anker Solix C1000 and made a video about that and a video about the diesel heater and the Anker was able to successfully handle the heater all on DC power! Have not tested with the EcoFlow since I got the Anker before needing it!
Good question - I've never used it with one but I would imagine it would be fine as long as the max wattage for the coffee pot is within the limits of the unit!
I have most of these and use the eco the most, but totally agree it is silly the top isn’t flat. today I was using to work new portable WiFi projector, it would have been perfect if I could perch it on the top. 1) Fast charger can charge phone in 15 minutes and uses only 1-2 percent max 2) able to charge it using the solar on my rv in an hour and it doesn’t pull to much away from rv battery like others 3) perfect weight and size to keep in car, on outdoor table in back yard, bring into your tent no matter size of tent, 4) I was able to fully charge it while it ran a 40 inch tv and charged phone
I have this with the extended battery. Even though I moved on to LifePO4 ecoflow models the river pro is my favorite solar power station I've ever owned. And it looks super cool compared to the new models
It's good the option is there. I like to watch at 1x to support the channels I watch coz I have premium and every minute counts $ but if I'm researching I tend to speed things up. This video is already nice and short 👍
I haven't yet but my diesel heater worked through the night with the less powerful Jackery 240, so it should work through the night with about 50% battery remaining or more I would think!
Very helpful video. I am trying to find the right power station for tailgating, we normally tailgate for about 4 hours so I don't need anything too crazy. When you hook up your TV how long does it stay powered for you? Also is it a 32" LED?
Oh gosh I can't remember. We haven't used our trailer off-grid since last year. I remember though we were able to watch full 2 hour movies and it wasn't even close to empty. It gave us full power for that and charging all devices for a weekend without any worries about not having enough power.
I bought a River Pro directly from EcoFlow. I tried to upgrade the firmware, it froze at 33% and bricked the unit. I had to ship it back to EcoFlow. They promised a replacement as soon as my unit was received, but it took a week to ship it out to me. The replacement unit has some internally damaged component that rattles around when it's tilted, so, not acceptable. I'm highly dissatisfied. I'll be returning everything for a refund and checking out other brands.
That's definitely good to know. Since I made this video, I obtained an Anker Solix C1000 and it's delightful. Haven't had any issues but only had it for about 3 months so far
Awesome video Mike! I’ve been researching on a power bank the past few weeks and this one was one of picks. I looked at Costco and saw it for $399 so I ordered it 🤘🏽
We live off grid so we’ve dealt with every type of power banks solar and gas generators and EcoFlow has to be the best product we’ve have the pleasure dealing with..amazing
I have no idea but it would depend on how much power that sump pump pulls. I'm not technical enough to tell ya but it will power anything that is within it's wattage range
I belong out just depends on how many watts the fan will pull. I.e. if the river can handle 600w and the fan pulls less than 600w, then you would be good. See if the fan has a label that will tell you how many watts it uses
Not all power stations have the capability to connect to an extra battery that is why this is one of the most versatile power stations I have ever seen.
Thanks. I see you used the cigarette lighter out. I've been told you should run no more than 10a from them and my planar on start up been told can be 13a ish
@@MikeTrachtenberg electricity went off for 5 hours and back on for 3, three times a day. Bought it from ali express a year ago, but as soon as it arrived we got no shutdowns all this time. And now russians started bombing power plants again...
RIVER Pro / EF4 PRO is not safe. The insulation between the primary and secondary circuits of the product does not meet the requirements for reinforced insulation in the product standard. In the testing, flaws have been found both in voltage dielectric strength test test and in the surface and air gaps. In addition, the output grounding is not connected to the protective grounding.
@@MikeTrachtenberg I wrote to Ecoflow and they told me that it was no longer in stock . If Amazon is offering you one jump on it if you plan «up-grating» your power bank .

@MikeTrachtenberg i dont think. i have both. the problems with software and bms. the amount of time i have to reset bms. the srupidity of support contacts not engineers. the product itself feels a bit more fragile plastic. it only feels thats way. thats the overall feeling i have about ecoflow. not bad but bluetti software is stable and communicating with hardware like charm. so........... @@MikeTrachtenberg My point is I don't see a future for lithium batteries. LiFePo4 seems much better. I'm more worried about inflation and the economy. History shows rampant inflation signals immanent collapse, usually followed by war.

@@MikeTrachtenberg great to know, thanks.
What I like best about the River Pro is that I can connect an extra battery and double the capacity in a few minutes with just a cable.
right?? that was definitely a huge bonus for the river pro!

Such good and helpful information! You really explained this so, so well!!
thanks a lot. I appreciate that

One thing I do like about the River Pro is that I can plug in 10 gadgets all at the same time.

I do like that it has 720Wh of capacity which is quite powerful for its compact size.
yes! so true
For me, power is always important and since it has a 720Wh capacity. It is more than enough for my power needs.
I'd have to agree with that
