In the second wave, people consulted doctors and took medication when the disease progressed to advanced stages, but after that it was only hospitalization that was the leftover option, which overwhelmed the systems. After the disease progressed it was just too late by then in most cases.
Hospitals were full of not only covid cases but even cough n cold flu patients as well becz the saars virus will give the positive reading.
Don't think that the flue is covid n mix up the two or think that you are A grouped and had mild infection.

A program daily during parliamentary sessions would help on which bills were passed and its significance. Website is there but a youtube program will reach more and help us understand in detail.
I am currently reading a book called "Immune" by Philipp Dettmer who is the creator of a very popular and amazing science channel called "Kurzgesagt"!!
The book explains in detail how our complicated Immune system works in layman terms!! In fact my father is enjoying it even more than I do!!
Any one who wishes to learn how viruses work, mutate and how our body counter them should pick this book!!
It's practically written for people who does not have a science background but wants to understand human immune system!!

@@reach2prasanna In fact Kurzgesagt have most videos on immune system on their channel. I think it's because Philipp Dettmer was fascinated by Immune system during his college days and then he was diagnosed of cancer at a very young age. He made his mission to understand immune system in detail. It's a great book. The way he has written it makes it feel like you are reading a medical science fiction novel!! Very addictive!!

The South African scientists informed the world as soon as they found this virus. Actually, this virus was spotted in South Africa, which doesn't mean it originated there.

Sir you have mentioned in this video about our healthcare system collapsing which it did ,with respect to that, post graduate doctors( residents) and doctors who have given their NEET PG 2021 entrance exams are protesting all over the country over the continuing delay in the counselling process for admission to PG courses. The delay is due to a case in the supreme court challenging OBC EWS reservation and the next hearing is on January 6th 2022!. Students waiting for admission will lose an entire academic year for no fault of their own and the PGs who are working have been doing so for more than a year now and are exhausted and burnt out and with the threat of a new variant causing havoc the health system will collapse especially if it is working with just 2/3rd of its work force. This issue is not even being adressed in the mainstream media, it has not been talked about in the Print as well, I dont know if this issue is suited for a cut the clutter episode but i request your media organisation to talk about this in any form that you deem fit. Viruses tend to get less deadly as they evolve (mutate) because it if gets more deadly, it will kill the host and this will be a self-limiting event in its quest for propagation. So fears of a more deadly strain are misplaced even the virus my have gained the ability to spread more rapidly and may even evade the current vaccines to some extent. Delta was no deadlier than the alpha variant, but it spread much faster. Some data indicate that delta was less deadly than the alpha variant. Most likely SARS-CoV-2 will evolve into highly infective, but far less deadly virus - something like a flu virus or even a corona virus that causes 25% of the common cold. By the way, I was a virologist

I have observed that when there was delta variant, if the daily cases in India are 10,000 then daily death is approx 500. That 5 percent death rate .
Much more than even Cancers.

I find the possibility of virus mutating into a more potent version because of spread inside immuno-compromised people are less. This possibility is more if the virus gets to spread through immunized and/or healthy population and these infected people spread the virus. It may be asymptomatic or non fatal occurrences but will help virus evolve to fight tougher human immunity defences. Just my logic.
So rule should be not to let go of the mask and social distance just because you are healthy/vaccinated.

Covid deniers are very less in Germany compared to USA. Germany already fully vaccinate about 70%. 14% of its population who are vulnerable or are immunocompromised have been given booster doses (3rd dose) as well. India is in much better position now than before delta even with 34% fully vaccinated because most have Covid antibodies as per sero survey (people got infected without getting sick, or got recovered from mild infection).
My family have all been through the mill n have created our own antibodies but two of the family that have taken the vax after haveing natural IMMUNITY are very sick.
Coughing and terrible congestion for 2wreks now they can't go to work n have marked sick.
I have doubts about this my children have never been sick.

We have never taken any medication in our lives.
A week after her vax she starting snorting and her immunity is broken down.
The doc gave her steroids it was clearing up but he changed the medication and it back.

I am not sure if the reasoning about Germany France cases/deaths is accurate attributing solely to less vaccination rate.
Across the border in Nethelands full vaccination rate is over 87%, however seems to follow the same trajectory as Germany, France.

After a lot of buzz about Omicron variant from Dr. Oz and Dr. Peacock; I'm hoping that the next expert would be named Dr. Chacha Choudhary
Is there anyway spreading of this mutant can be contained. What are the steps to prevent another wave? We surely can't afford another wave. Nor can we afford a lockdown. What's the solution? Vaccine is deemed to be a solution but its seems like a preventive measure as many scientists are saying that vaccines' efficacy is considerably lower for Omicron.
Narendra Modi should do "Off the Cuff" with Shekhar Ji in this setting. Modi hates propaganda driven journalists, But Shekhar Ji is different. He loves asking questions that matters in a non-pejorative way. It is a perfect combo!

The main problem today is the lack of free testing worldwide. Very few airports like AbuDhabi offer free RT-PCR testing. Govt.s want recovery but not willing to spend on the testing at the borders. One has to spend 150 USD for RT-PCR to get result within 4 hrs at each end of the journey and that is often like an economy ticket. The real cost of testing is much less and Govt. can buy the machines and appoint people instead of allowing these companies charging too much money. There is no incentive for vaccinated population in terms of exemptions with vaccine pass.

I don't think we have enough evidence to make these claims this early. We should wait till we get some confirmations. Right now it's all speculative
Just an FYI you can still catch omicron virus even if you are vaccinated so do wear mask. Scientist are working on developing omicron targeted vaccine because omicron is not same as delta, so much more higher chance of breakthrough infection even with current vaccine.
