11.57 really ThePrint kindly correct that part , sikkim is the only state in NE that does not have history of insurgency .
I do pay !
From San Francisco learning more about India that I 💗
Tripura done well in development is because the EFFORTS, SWEAT of Hindu Bengalis. They educated well themselves and survived even though they are the victims of PARTITION. They even educated all the population including tribals that india's highest rate of education is in Tripura.
Sir with due respect can u do some research about kuki black day
This data is an eye opener for all the Nagas. Big problem in a small state. Illegal taxation and corruption of our leaders are at all time high. Its time for the people of Nagaland to wake up and smell the coffee. We need to learn from Sikkim. We need good visionary leaders. Thank you sir Shekhar Gupta for sharing this data.
I don't think ordinary Nagas will get that opportunity to smell that coffee. They won't even get a whiff of it. Nagaland is hopeless, hopeless is Nagaland.
Ami Naga manu asi.
@@GiggityGig there is hope if there are people like you. Just try to Influence your friends and family. Nagaland is small state it is easy to change public opinion. Try to translate this video in local language if you need. Just make sure this information reaches as many Nagas as possible.
Leave that aside just see how well the mizoram is performing after leaving the insurgency.Nagaland seriously needs to up it’s game.
@@SudhanshuKumartech This is so true. Mizoram is best example of diplomacy. Central government is giving same options to Naga leaders but they want to continue to exploit their people.
Nagaland is most definitely one of the most vibrant states in the NE as well as India and the Naga youth among the most enterprising. This ranking is indeed shocking. SG is right to appeal to the insurgent leaders who need to look beyond power politics and acquiring territory in other states and act with genuine concern for the people. Nagaland can easily rival Sikkim if only the spirit of the people is set free and channelled towards progress.
Recommendations for ncert :
1) include tamil history, culture and civilization
2) more content on kakatiyas, satavahanas, vijayanagara and all other southern Indian kingdoms.
3) history and culture of North east.
In short add south and east History not only north and west 😅👍🏾
@@tarunsahukari8357 even north isn't mentioned properly, hell I think we learnt more about overseas revolution and insurgency (French, Russian, etc) than the one that unfolded in our very own country....this is just sad and to some extent disgusting that even after all these years 'foreign' approval is what we seek for......
I am currently preparing for civil services so i went back to the ncert books recently (from class 6) and I'd say there is ample coverage on tamil history, and detailed coverage on Vijayanagara empire. But what is completely lacking is any coverage on North Eastern states

In NITI Aayog's ranking of aspirational districts of North East, 6 out of top 10 aspirational districts are from Tripura while Tripura and Sikkim are best performing States in North East♥️
Not just northeast, Sikkim is one of the best performing states in all of India.
In per capita income, Sikkim is the richest state in India.
@@garyish Goa is the richest state of 🇮🇳 not Sikkim. Also u can't compare Sikkim or Goa with bigger States like Maharashtra , Kerala , Karnataka, Gujrat.
@@shalivahana1300
Yes but there’s no correlation between size and development. Goa is similar in population to Nagaland or Arunachal but considerably richer than both.
@@garyish there is a very direct correlation between size and development of states. The bigger the states, the harder it is to develop and govern. That's why per-capita gdo tends to be less (even if a lot of people do well, there are still some who don't do as well and they average it out).
@@samyakhp4353 no, there’s is at the best a very loose correlation. This is why you can find both rich and poor small countries and states and also both rich and poor big countries and states.
One more important thing guys : explore and tour north-east (not only north east, but south, north everywhere in India) before you visit abroad. Have a good time, it achieves a couple of things :
1. Helps those regions prosper (i.e helps India Prosper)
2. You learn more about India
3. People get to know about each other and their culture. Builds mutual respect and a feeling of being one.
4. Helps curb the feeling of alienation amongst some states, familiarity builds trust and they wouldn't want to fight against the people who are familiar to them.

Dear SG ji. Thank you for putting focus on the north east. Most conventional media outlets don’t bother about talking about it. So kudos.
Having been brought up in Assam, I can say that the reason the state does so poorly compared to our hilly neighbors is due to deep seated corruption. Every state civil officer in the state feels he is obliged to fill his pockets with govt money instead of having a vision for the people!

It's surprising that large state with significantly higher resources like Assam feature such poorly against much smaller states like Sikkim and Tripura ! Sikkim and Tripura probably don't even have 25% of all Assam's resources ! This is quite an eye opener ..
Bcoz they have a non contributing 40% muslim population in Assam.
Also look at aspirational parts in Assam. It is lower Assam, neighbouring Bangladesh.
Assam has a significantly higher population than any of the other states. Also, Assam is culturally much closer to the mainland than the other states.
The Muslim population is around 30%. By your logic the most developed state in India, Kerala should be something else?

Next please look at the Keezhadi excavation in Tamilnadu, and the Indus valley link...it's history of India almost rewritten!!
Sir I'm from Arunachal Pradesh. The road to Kra Dadi has been in dilapidated condition since the formation of our state in 86'. Looking at a map one would think that the Arunachal Districts that you've mentioned are close to Assam, but the reality is just the opposite of that. Yes even though districts like Kurung kume, Kra Dadi are near to Assam and should be, but actually very far from Assam. Reason behind is the poor connectivity, due to years of corruption and bad bureaucracy. But surprisingly districts like Papumpare shouldn't have performed that bad because it's just 30 kms from the Assam border. However, it's understandably so because Guwahati is >350 kms away from Itanagar and due to transportation costs, a lot of cheap items become costly for our capital citizens. This also brings the level of corruption into the limelight. Thank you good sir. I'll make sure I make a detailed analysis on the mentioned report and publish an article in the local prints.
Meghalaya being in the bottom of the barrel is definitely surprising. The leaders of past and present should be ashamed for letting the people of Meghalaya down. The state with the cleanest village in India, has the highest rainfall in the world, cleanest lakes and rivers etc and yet delivers such poor performance. The people of Meghalaya should see this video and understand that the politicians are entitled and neither sympathisers of Khasi or Garo people but sympathisers of their pockets and donot care about the common folks. Hope this changes soon.
I am from Meghalaya and I totally agree with you brother 🙋 thank you 👏
They should all be lined up for treason.
While I agree with the premise that we need more exposure to an important and beautiful part of the country like the northeast, knowing the districts shouldn’t be a test of how well we know it.
How many of us know all the districts in Maharashtra or Madhya Pradesh or Karnataka ? I am willing to bet most people won’t know most districts in these states unless they are from those places.
We have a large and complex country and this is to be expected.
Insurgency level has lowered coz govt promised some sum and job if they surrender! But nonetheless we are indians too, glad these days people do realize that there are indian states too in northeastern part of india! Ty sir for brief info!

I'm infact traveling to Kiphire, Tuensang, kra daadi, tlabung district's village PHCs. These are among 21 other locations. Should I take care of anything do you guys think?
S.G sir, kiphire in local dialect means the land surrounded by water, the irony here is that there is acute shortage of water in the town and residents are forced to rely on private water supplier which are way more expensive than government supply.
Wrong interpretation sorry ask some elderly sangtam the meaning of Kiphire.
Very educative Sir. Even reputed news papers care less while publishing news about these NE states. I think road /railway connect to these states have to be improved many folds. New Central Government institutes have to be established so as to bring these states to the mainstream of the India.

Actually sir, Serchhip (#5) district is the best performing district from Mizoram, then Lunglei (#8). Correct me if I am wrong, but around 10 years ago, I heard that a lot of Naga youths are choosing to live outside the state, in cities like New Delhi and even abroad. If this is true, I wonder if this could be one reason as to why the state has ranked so low. Of course, why the youths decide to live elsewhere could be due the insurgency or political climate, which Pu Gupta has already mentioned.
