I’m reading the great game by Peter hopkirk and I seriously believe that the book covers primarily the Persian region connecting with afghan in the first initial parts and how the spy network was used by both the erstwhile powers of the time i.e. British empire and the tsarist Russia. The first thing that came into my mind was whether Mr. Shekhar Gupta will mention this book or not. Which he very well did! Babu to have access to the wakhan corridor , POK should be a part of India . But it is not , which is the actual reality on the ground .
The question is how do we fix this !!! It would require us to de-ligitimize the existence of Pakistan . To do that we must reject the two nation theory. Because Pakistan hinges it's existence on the two nation theory as an islamic state . But the truth is , it's not sustainable why ? Because they have sindhi , balochi , pakthtun , Ahmadis who sees the country of Pakistan as an illegitimate one . And our response ?
No proper vision as - India proves that it is sustainable by giving legitimacy to a Hindu rashtra .
A Hindu rashtra is not necessarily in India's interest .
Do not see it as dichotomous - yes or no ! I
      Support or against !
      That's a naive mentality .
What the Congress means is that at the moment we do not actually share a border ! And yes we do not share a border because POK at the moment is not a part of India . And if you really want it to be a part of India what's stopping you from going to claim it !!!

There's a video on vox or wendover about Russian claim on arctic. Basically the goal is to make the world buy our version of narrative. So saying its Pakistan's territory doesnt help. Sorry Shekhar. I like your cut the clutter videos. I benefit from them.
However, the current reality on the ground is that India does not have a border with Afghanistan. Period.
India has a border in its 'dream/wish list.'
The area India has in its 'wish list' is the vital interest of and therefore protected by two nuclear powered nations, Pakistan and China.
India will have to enter into a large scale costly dangerous war with Pakistan and China to take that area.
As time goes by, as weapons become more sophisticated, it'll likely become more and more difficult for India to even wish for this area.
Playing with these semantics, doesn’t cut the clutter.
It’s precisely these wish list semantics that create a lot of the clutter.
    Sorry.

If India and Indians consider that India has a border with Afghanistan via PoK, then the same Indians has to consider Manipur as an independent kingdom and not a state of India.
Reality as of now is, we don't have any border with Afghanistan and the state of Manipur is an integral part of India.

Though i am not subscribing to his line of thinking mostly this episode is really very good. Though i have travelled deep inside Kashmir (pok) & Ladakh (China) borders i was not at all aware this India sharing a small narrow border (though disputed) with Afghanistan.
