What to watch for before you get it: Bought one Sat at Cabela's...$527 with discounts, Tuesday deal, Club Member, etc. Was watching another U Tube video Sat night and realized I had the same problem. If you buy one, not online and shipped, check to see if the scuppers below the seat are flat, not with a molehill slope up to the hole. It is hard to tell but when I had it flat and poured a pitcher of water in the seat well area the water would not drain fully. There is a molded in crease/slope several inches behind the scuppers going across the seat area width and that is ok. The raised scuppers below the seat is a defect that sometimes/oftentimes occurs when they release it from the mold. It should feel flat like the aft compartment scuppers. I took it back on Sun to Cabela's and they swapped it out no problem, just a little paperwork at customer service. For some reason they said they owed me $14.xx so they paid me that which made it roughly $513. Now, will spend a few hundred more on a paddle, anchor trolly, and raise the seat, etc. lol Also, the screws for the handles and bungee hold downs need backed off and clear silicone applied or water will leak in.

I’ve had my 12T for a couple years now, salt and freshwater. The seat positioning is fine for me but had to add strapping because there is no lower back support which I need. Also I had to drill holes in seat frame as the salt water was making rust and I could not flush it out.

2, 1” angle iron from Home Depot or lowes, (measure the width of where the seat originally sits), 2 med sized hole clamps, and 4 self tapping screws

I have an Ascend 12T hate the seat as it was designed. Overall the design is great; however, only thing do not like is there aren't any access points to the inside. I recognize the mountain and the landscape rocks, as Fort Bliss! Sorry brother, hated Eephant Butte (water level was low, and diseases killed off bass population) Caballero is ok. Had to travel to Albuquerque for Bass fishing, Cochattie Lake.

I still love it.. no issues whatsoever, my only recommendation would be to have factory keel guards in the future
