When breaking in a bore brush, as described letting it sit several days wet with dish soap, is it sitting bristles upward or hanging with bristles down?

Is this process necessary? I just bought a Chubby 3 super badger and a Chubby 3 Manchurian Badger. The instruction leaflets in both boxes says that the brushes have been sterilised and ready to use. There’s no dog smell coming off them either. What’s your opinion?

To break boar bristle brushes in fast:
Soak the hair in water in the fridge (not sure why but that's what I was told) for 3 days. Each morning and evening (or every 8 hours) remove the brush, shake out excess water and work the bristles on a towel for 20 minutes. This agitation and wet/dry cycle accelerates the time it takes for the hairs to split.
I did this recently with my Semogue 830 and the brush was ready by the 3rd morning with wonderfully soft tips. Some of the hairs have split 3 to 4 times each.

What a couple of scatter brains! You probably could have shortened this video from 15 minutes to 3 minutes. Not one single demo either.

Its hair, use shampoo for cleaning and conditioner for softness. I believe the firmness of the brush helps soften my stubble during lathering. The smell of the badge is a good reminder to the manufacturering process of the brush and respect for the badger/ boar used. Don't use a cheap shave soap.
My trinity is; Madison Lambert best badger mated with Merkur Futur safety ravor, using Lather & Wood or Ariana & Evens shave soap. This combo make me happier than a dung beetle in a septic tank.

Or, you can get a synthetic brush. Inexpensive, superior lathering ability, no pre-sock needed, they dry quickly and no animal smell.

Why use dish soap? Just use a shave soap.
